SO! My opinion on my little Hyundai Getz, I've named her Hen. 1) the demisting of the side windows is incredibly helpful, as I find the car does tend to fog up. 2) there is SO much storage!! Seriously, room for everything I could need and more! 3) driving wise, she doesn't accelerate great up hills and tends to stick at whatever speed we entered the incline at. 4) mine didn't come with air conditioning, or the heated seats feature unfortunately, but the sunroof is very enjoyable and leaves the car bright and airy. 5) I find mine incredibly hard to reverse. I find it stalls ridiculously easily, but that very likely could just be me getting used to the engine as the car I drove before was much more powerful. 6) It is EASY (and I mean E A S Y) to parallel park and squeeze into tight spaces with. 7) she is easy on the petrol, a full tank tends to do me just over a week, and that's 2 hours driving per day as well as to and from work at the weekends. I love it, Hyundai Getz, for the win! ☺️
Had my 2005 Getz 1.3 12v for about 18 months. Bought it with 103.000km, about 113.000km now. Hasn't cost me alot, only had to change dust shields and brakelines before MOT, which isn't bad at all. Never let me down, pretty good, for the 2nd cheapest Hyundai model of the time.

@@mattsbeamer Car in Moscow, no matter how nice, it's a bit of a time waster with all the jams. We got rid of our car when we moved to our current place. With the congestion charge and traffic - forget about it. Our underground parking space is housing my folding cycle which I hardly use. For diving we rent a car for the days needed. Usually something big to haul all the equipment and sometimes we tow the rib from its mooring place.
I have a cheapest TB version with 1.5 CRDI engine and manual transmission. I have it over 14 years, but it's 18 years old. The only disadvantages are high fuel consumption (on the other hand, I treat my Getz as a racing car, so...), on average about 7.5l/100km, but since I started using fuel conditioners, the fuel consumption has dropped to 6.9l/100km. Thanks to that chemical magic, the performance also improved - according to Hyundai, this version of the Getz has a maximum speed of ~170kmph, my record is 193kmph (that's what the navigation and police speed camera showed, but thanks to the factory data I didn't pay a fine ;P). Acceleration is less than 10 seconds to 100kmph. And here's Getz's second problem, because it desperately lacks sixth gear. I think that if this gear was there, the car would easily reach 200kmph. During these 18 years, I have only replaced (apart from the oil, filters, coolant and windshield wipers blades) brake pads, rear shock absorbers, rubber bumpers in the suspension and the steering gear/rack (from what I have read on Getz Polish users forum, this is the most frequently broken major part in Getz). Oh, I forgot to mention rust - my Getz had a manufacturing defect and from the very beginning its trunk lid was rusting, just under the window seal (the previous owner did not buy a warranty for the body, so Hyundai did not want to remove this defect at its own expense). Moreover, after 15 years I had to remove rust from the sills, wheel arches and lower edges of the doors, but with the amount of salt that Polish road workers pour on the roads every winter, it is absolutely normal that rust appeared.
