I may be unpopular but I actually think we spent go big. We probably haven’t had enough time for the new football focused recruits to analyse and decide on the medium term approach.
We have some clear gaps which we have to fill this summer. Beyond that save the money for when we have more confidence in our plans and go bigger later.

I think that INEOS will or should be judged at the end of this window. I do think we’ve got to get away from this United tax though,so if we don’t spend big it will be a good move. Even though I would like them to spend, I will understand if they don’t. UTR&UTP 16:20

I first went to Old Trafford in 1956, they can call it what they want, it will still be Old Trafford,
I called City's Eastlands for ages after sponsorship but now I find Emptihad funny so I use that.

Got to be the same site for me, for the history. Expand it refurbish the facilities, put an entirety new roof on it . Might take 2-3 years, but please not one of the fancy oval bowls. Square like a traditional football ground. Make it super special and unique.

It's not accurate to call it double standards when there are two distinct entities at Manchester United now. On one hand, there's Ineos, one of the largest chemical companies in the world. On the other, there are the Glazers, often criticized for their management. These two entities have never operated by the same standards. Labeling it as such seems a simplistic way to describe the situation.
Utd could easily generate more money. Simple comparison with Spurs shows everything. The club shop and tour were so weak when I visited recently. There was no kot available in adult sizes. Nothing I could get for the kids. In the 90s the shop was full of stuff for every price range. That is only a small aspect of improving income.
Bayern Munich have a lot of content on TH-cam kids. Cartoon profiles about players. It's very cool. Utd need to catch up fast

Not bothered with a new stadium if anything adding seats and upgrading through naming rights is fine with me as well its more revenue for the club and with FFP being what it is that matters alot and could help us have more to put back i to the squad. I would trade the nostalgia of old trafford for being able to improve our FFP numbers and be able to attract more players and sponsors.

I think its a bit simplistic to comment on measures such as the cancelation of travel expenses to the FA final as double standards. The issues I think are more complicated than that. It may have been a message by INEOS that the time of wasteful spending by the club is over. Not everyone is going to be happy when cost cutting measures are implemented in any organisation. If you aske me, I would rather have INEOS in charge of the finances than the Glazers.

why would you sell the rights of old Trafford it doesn't makes sense. Old Trafford is a brand on to its self, "the theatre of dreams" is Old Trafford, Old Trafford stadium is part of Manchester United. If anything Old Trafford should be a historical significance.
Its typical people have the privilege to go to Old Trafford all the time don't mind the stadium being pulled down compared to people that have never been there majority don't want it to happen privilege is blind to those who have it.
The name Old Trafford generates zero income whereas the naming rights could generate plenty. When you have as little to spend as United for the coming few years you need to look at every opportunity to generate additional income. I'm open to selling the naming rights if that helps the club to speed up its rebuild by bringing in more quality players.
What if Nike give you £260m for ten years? Just to call it Nike Trafford. Even though to all fans, pundits, commentators & all football people still refer it as Old Trafford.
Think about it, nike trafford wont be same traction as say "nike old trafford" or "old trafford by Nike" because it would be associating your brand name with a name known worldwide. @@brianogorman7752

I`m not from Manchester. Can someone please explain to me why the name "Old Trafford" is so important? Isn`t it just the name of the neighborhood or something? It`s not like Real Madrid or Ajax where it`s named after a club legend.

We can't reform culture by making exceptions. It's the same logic behind not having staff in the player's lunchroom.

The marginal gains philosophy can almost not be applied to any sport other than cycling until the athletes take ownership as well. Pro cyclists will eat the same food every day, they don’t party, and training is their life. Footballers are superstars but that is what holds them back.

You don't understand marginal gains. All sports, all the time, are trying to find ways to gain an edge.
Marginal Gains is just a phrase coined by Dave Brailsford to describe all the little improvements that produce a cumulative improvement.
It can even be applied outside of sport.

Not necessarily true. The area around the stadium is to be built up part paid by tax payers but will provide lot of jobs & economic growth long-term to the area

Spurs Stadium is not a world class stadium. It would not even be an average NFL Stadium like the indiana Colts have.
