Sorry Zach, this is a classic case of you get what you pay for. After owning 3 Chryslers and watching them fall apart from day one, they are definitely "cheaper" as you say. All three Grand Caravans had squeaks and rattles from day one, the cost of ownership was very high. It's much wiser to get a quality product than to ride a bucket of bolts. My 3 Caravans were done after 5 years, I literally had to give them away. Honda and Toyota can easily make it to 10 years, and this, without spending lots of time in the garage. If you want something that will let you down, breakdown, cost a fortune in repairs, then the Grand Caravan is for you. You don't pay up front, but you will pay later. And pay again. Hondas and Toyotas will have the normal maintenance and wear and tear, but will be in your driveway much longer.
Great review and minivan. Honda should perhaps think about producing a lower cost option to compete against the Grand Caravan's more aggressive price point. At this price, they might as well slap on an Acura badge, ugly beak grille and call it the ODX.
Great review, Zack. What I liked about your review is that you bring up the down-to-earth consumer perspective. Too often we hear car reviewers say how great products are but omit to consider that nearly no one will be able to afford it. I guess when you've just reviewed a Mercedes R Class and you step in a 50,000$ minivan, it seems like a bargain! Anyway, great review, keep it up. Great perspective.
Very pricey indeed but like you said, it is the higher end of the minivan segment. I've driven a Chrysler T&C and the new Odyssey and must admit the level of refinement of the Honda Touring is superior - but not almost $20K superior. I suspect Chrysler will be upping their game when the new T&C hits the market in two years. As always, great review!
I'm going from a 2012 to a 2014 EXL RES.. but dont have the maroon color option...how are you driving one. Even online you can only get white, black, silver, blue and grey..
This is my first mini van, I got it brand new (touring edition) back last October, it's not a pleasant ride in winter at all, on the rough road feels like no suspension at all, horrible, I rely on the reviews from all, consumer report, tfl, Edmunds, including yours, none mention about rough/stiff ride in freezing weather. I have to trade it in next month for an ML350 Bluetec. It would be nice to know as auto reviewers should do proper test not just butter up to car companies and give a great review without testing all conditions, especial when we live in cold climate region. What a waste of my resources and time!

It's not only about the price. Look at the safety ratings also.
I wish they added an AWD option just like the sienna.

All the minivans are good enough for most people. Get the one that has a dealership closest to you and you will be happier.
Only reason why the Grand Caravan is selling so well is that its almost the price of a sedan with room for 7+
There's a typo in the title, "Oydssey"

Very expensive vacuum, mine is only $30
Finally u did a video
I’d take a Honda over a Crystler or Dodge any day... you can’t even compare them with the odyssey.

+Patrick Chung You should have bought a Town and Country Limited!
Keep it up, Motormouth.
So happy
I disagree, I think the Honda odyssey looks bette than the Chrysler
I wasn't impressed with the 3rd row access. Yes the price is insane.
