  • The minivan is not dead and hands down one of the most practical vehicles to own. This new Odyssey has a few new creature comforts and even a built in vaccum system.

Good review and you covered a lot of things that most overlook.
As an aside for future reviews of "family vehicles" like minivans or large SUVs (anything with a 3rd row really), you should focus a little on how easy (or hard) it is to get in and out of the car. Even installing your car seats since that's what most of us in the family world will live with for many years. I have found that many cars while they say can hold 7-8 passengers, when it comes to kids and their car seats...that number drastically changes. Only the Odyssey have I seen the ability to comfortably seat 7-8 mixed age passengers in car seats and adults (mostly because as you pointed out the second row has real seats and the 3rd row is large and comfortable). I believe it is the only car with 6 top tether anchors since that 8th passenger seat in the second row is a real seat allowing you to put a car seat safely anywhere in that car.

Hello, here in 2024 amd purchased a used 2014 Odyssey Elite (US model) even after being 10 years old with 70 something thousand miles, this is an extremely NICE van. The previous owner (only 1) took amazing care of it! We're happy to have it presented and shown to us! Instead of paying close to 50,000$ we paid around 16,000$ sticker price. TTL not included. Thats my biggest issue with brand new vehicles! Overpriced. Just wait 10 years you impetuous fools 🥴🥴😂..... All in gesture guys!

This is my first mini van, I got it brand new (touring edition) back last October, it's not a pleasant ride in winter at all, on the rough road feels like no suspension at all, horrible, I rely on the reviews from all, consumer report, tfl, Edmunds, including yours, none mention about rough/stiff ride in freezing weather. I have to trade it in next month for an ML350 Bluetec. It would be nice to know as auto reviewers should do proper test not just butter up to car companies and give a great review without testing all conditions, especial when we live in cold climate region. What a waste of my resources and time!

Point taken. Unfortunately, I can't be fussy as when I can have access to a vehicle and in this case, it was not in the winter. I know there can be a big difference between seasons. I just recently purchased a New Toyota Highlander and have found many downfalls in the cold that I never noticed when I tested it in the summer. I think you'll like the Bluetec, I know I would.

My wife would be the last person to complaint about the ride but not this time, I hope the bluetec with airmatic will do it! Thx

You missed the amazing side mirrows but i didnt know about the vac. You did a nice job.
When backing up the passenger side mirror moves so you can see the lines etc. The drivers side mirror is longer with a line where that bit of mirror gives you netter blind spot control. Also there is wireless headphones for separate media and dvr in the back.
Got to go vacuum the van👍😃.

I own a touring and I say winter wise I like the stiffer ride because makes you feel in control and not like your gonna tip over. overall for me racing minivan on the weekends and a family car during weekdays

Hi Adam, This is a Canadian model. Canada's Touring trim level is basically the same as the US Honda Touring Elite. Thanks for watching.
