Thach's discussion highlighted the need for organizations to embrace AI as a tool to amplify human potential rather than replace it. This concept starkly contrasts the fear of AI taking over roles, emphasizing the potential for collaborative synergy between humans and machines to drive innovation and productivity. Drawing parallels to my own professional experiences, I have witnessed how AI can streamline tasks to allow for more

This talk brilliantly highlights how integrating diverse perspectives in AI planning can prevent costly mistakes. The road trip analogy really hit home, showing that collaboration leads to stronger, more effective strategies. It’s a powerful reminder that AI should enhance the unique insights people bring, not replace them.

This TED talk allowed me to comprehend the idea that transparency is importance in working together to create efficient innovation that is purposeful and has structured growth. Avva Thach’s emphasis on creating equitable environment that is built from learning from the past is what we can use to foster the unity between AI and humanity. AI is a great resource for humanity, but like many things in this world it can be misused, it is not perfect, and it is not always accurate. Though AI is useful we must not rely on it as much as we should rely on humanity. This was a great TED talk that really opened up my perspective on AI usage and its current ability in present day which is limited.

This TED talk, by Professor Thach, allowed my to get a deeper understanding of AI's failures of the past and progression into the future. When you rush something that takes time, commitment, and education. Even from Chat GPA helping students like myself with difficult task such as; essays, group projects, and speeches. To self driving cars, planes, and spaceships we have to know the weakness and strength in order to improve our future with AI. With more knowledge from bigger companies and Professors like Avva Thach we will be able to achieve that "Perfect" AI.

Professor Avva Thachs TED talk made me realize that in todays world we need to rely less on technology. AI has many flaws and we shouldn't be rushing something that takes years or time and dedication. A key takeaway for me was the importance of transparency and communication between everyones voices. Although AI is a great addition to humanity, like any source of technology, it's not in anyway perfect. AI isn't always accurate so we shouldn't rely on it. This was a very intriguing TED talk and it really allowed me to see a AI in a different perspective.

The TEDx talk by Professor Avva Thach, AI & Organizational Communication, offers an excellent account of how artificial intelligence disrupts organizational communication. One of the lessons learned here is how communication can be made more effective through mastery of the flow and analysis of data through integrated artificial intelligence. This is especially significant as we discuss the subjects of the course, which focus on the junction of technology and organizational behavior. For example, Thach’s views on how AI could enhance communication processes correlate with our ideas about increasing organizational efficiency with technologies. In my practice, I have observed these benefits in my work setting as well since the application of AI tools in business communication has minimized time spent on administrative work to the extent that communication becomes more productive and valuable. This talk reaffirms the contemporary discourse to act less as a contradiction to AI as a way of interacting with other people but as a way of improving organizational interaction that will yield better results.

This TEDx Talk does a great job highlighting just how important it is to create inclusive AI strategies. We live in a society which heavily relies on AI technology; however, without diverse voices involved in the creative process, AI technology still holds many flaws. These flaws may not only lead to marginalization but can also result in casualties. When used effectively, AI has the potential to positively impact our world through inclusivity, innovation, growth, and equity.

I encourage others to do the same, as it’s crucial for all voices to be acknowledged and shared.

The power of intelligence given in this Ted Talk is extremely necessary due to the confusion or minimizing said cultures. She explains that the slack of diverse connections between the people and the community has a large effect on how we chose to co-exist in our society. I became aware that we should rely less on technology in the modern world after watching Professor Avva Thachs' TED talk. AI is not perfect, and we shouldn't rush things that require years of effort and commitment. For me, one of the most important lessons was the value of openness and communication between all points of view. Like any other form of technology, artificial intelligence (AI) is a wonderful addition to humanity, but it is far from perfect. We shouldn't rely on AI because it's not always reliable. I was able to view AI from a different angle after watching this fascinating TED talk.

This TED talk has helped me realize that in this day and age everyone relies on technology. I love how you talked about the man that used AI for his wedding vows. This was the main thing that helped me realize it is so easy to ask AI to do things for you without having to even think about it. We should be mindful that technology isn't always the right way to go and can be wrong sometimes.

Professor Thach’s TEDx Talk resonated deeply with me, shedding light on the critical need for a more thoughtful and inclusive approach to AI development. In a world where AI shapes everything from the way we work to how we interact, it's clear that without diverse voices guiding its growth, AI can perpetuate bias and exclusion. What stood out to me most was the reminder that technology, while innovative and powerful, is not infallible. AI’s potential to improve lives and bridge societal gaps is immense, but only if it's built with transparency, equity, and collaboration at its core. The talk emphasized that AI isn’t just a tool; it’s a reflection of the values we prioritize. We shouldn’t rush the process but take the time to ensure that AI serves everyone, not just a select few. This perspective left me rethinking not only the technology itself but the responsibility we have to shape it ethically and inclusively.

This Tedx talk helped me realize how significant the importance of inclusive AI strategies. Something that I took away from this was that we should rely less on technology and the importance of including diverse viewpoints into AI strategy to reduce undesirable consequences. Although AI can be helpful when we may need it for an answers or something of that sort, it isn't something that you should use every single day, it's not always accurate and it can be misused. This was a great ted talk and Avva Thach did a great job demonstrationing AI usage and its current ability in today's time. AI isn't something that is negative but it when used right it can positively impact our society in a beneficial way.

One significant takeaway from the conversation is the critical importance of including diverse viewpoints into AI strategy to reduce undesirable consequences. This is really similar to my personal experience with team work, where diverse perspectives usually result in more creative and successful solutions. For example, during a group project in my Sports Management program, we ensured that every team member's viewpoint was included, resulting in a well-rounded and effective outcome. This seminar addresses the need of hearing and attentively listening to many perspectives in order to build inclusive and equitable AI systems. By creating an environment in which all perspectives are valued, we may cooperate to build technologies that truly benefit humanity while avoiding repeating prior mistakes.

This TED talk shook me to the core, I wasn't confindely sure of what to expect as it relates to a central message or how this conversation correlates to the masses of today, yet I was pleasantly surprised of the general accuracy of the speaker's message. AI does an amazing job at making our lives much more simple, yet it often comes at the cost of the colorfulness of diversity and the power of when individualism becomes a whole. Truly nothing in life is perfect and this is a powerful sentiment to understand when approaching diversity. Day by day especially in my life, AI becomes a greater resource by the second. AI not only serves the purpose as a tool but it also serves a purpose that must mirror the diversity we live amongst. Finally, my takeaway from this message is the monumental power of diversity. It is the weight of the impact of what happens when we no longer silence important voices of diversity as it relates to AI and in the way in which it serves us in our day to day lives. After hearing this message, I can now take away how great AI can be when it is equipped with the ability to recognize a unique body structure crossing the road, a different language other than english, or facial recognition that is able to pin point a face with a disability. All of this are able to fluently exist only at the heart of diverse, opinions, viewpoints, understanding, and feelings.

From Mrs. Thach's TEDx Talk, my key takeaway is that without diverse input, AI systems can become directionless and risky. For instance, a friend of mine had to return his Tesla three times due to AI failures, which nearly led to a serious safety issue and disrupted his commute to & from work. Tragic events like the Uber self-driving car accident and the Challenger disaster highlight that including diverse perspectives isn't just about fairness-it's crucial for safety and effectiveness. This seminar reinforces the idea that embracing inclusivity in AI not only helps prevent costly errors but also ensures that technology works more effectively for all parties involved.

This is a wonderful TEDx Talk that focuses on the importance of diverse voices' involvement in AI. Professor Avva Thach brings up the importance of having every voice heard can reflect in something as readily used as Bumble, which uses AI to formulate its algorithm. I find this to be very important in our time now especially considering the prevalent loss of DEI departments/areas of focus in the world of tech. While AI is extremely helpful in many situations, a lack of connection in IT, diverse voices and AI formulation could cause a disconnect with AI integration. There is a major lack and it will reflect in search results. What is the point of AI strategy when it doesn't include the voices of minorities? The disables? The LGBTQ? We would be missing a large sample group which would create a disconnect with AI results. Where is the emotional connection? These would all be missing. It is extremely important to take our time with Artificial Intelligence so that we can help it thrive in a grand community filled with multiple cultures and opinions for the best insight. We can't skip this step.

Amazing. This TED Talk by Avva Thach resonates deeply with my experiences, especially in navigating the complexities of integrating new technologies into established systems. The emphasis on collective intelligence and open planning mirrors my approach to teamwork and decision-making in real life. Just as Avva suggests, rushing into AI deployment without a clear, collaborative strategy can lead to inefficiency and missed opportunities-much like trying to reach a destination without a GPS. In my personal and professional life, I’ve seen how involving diverse perspectives in planning not only prevents costly errors but also fosters a sense of shared ownership and innovation. Avva’s dedication to self-awareness and happiness as drivers of productivity and innovation is also something I strive to incorporate, recognizing that a balanced, mindful approach leads to better outcomes for everyone involved. Her talk reinforces the importance of blending strategic thinking with emotional intelligence to navigate the complexities of modern challenges successfully.

Professor Avva Thach's TED talk emphasizes the importance of inclusivity and diverse voices in AI strategy. A key takeaway for me was how ignoring critical voices, as seen in the Uber self-driving car incident and the Challenger space shuttle disaster, can lead to tragic consequences. This connects to our course themes on effective communication, where every perspective, from frontline staff, engineers, and the general public must be valued to avoid mistakes and drive innovation. This TEDx Talk was insightful because of how fast AI is taking over our society. Avva Thach point about needing a union between artificial intelligence and emotional intelligence. With so many organizations moving towards AI to keep up with a rapidly changing technology based community, there are gaps in the new system that leaves out the voices of people depending on that organization. This can also lead to technological error that could have detrimental impact on the organization as a whole, as well as leaving little to no time for the human counterpart to be prepared for setbacks. This talk really highlighted not only the impact of AI, but the importance of having a plan behind its use.

This was a great TED talk. AI does a great job helping us to work efficiently and simply, however relying heavily on it without a strategy can lead to ineffectiveness and possible missed opportunities. From my experience working at a school, using AI can be a double-edged sword. Using it effectively can help assist with teaching, but the overuse of it could lead to a decrease in connection with the students mentally and emotionally. The key takeaway I did get from the seminar is that including inclusivity in AI systems while merging strategic thinking and emotional intelligence is essential for building innovation for a more equitable world and to work effectively in today's world.

I agree that navigating a new road without the proper map is like implementing AI strategies without the right innovations and a comprehensive. Just as a map guides you through unfamiliar terrain, innovations and inclusivity provide the necessary direction and foundation for successful AI implementation. Crafting an inclusive AI strategy isn't just about fairness but it's crucial for fostering innovation and driving economic growth. Without it, you risk overlooking diverse perspectives and missing out on opportunities for breakthrough solutions. An inclusive approach ensures that AI strategies are effective, equitable, and capable of contributing to broader economic advancements.

This TEDx Talk of Avva Thach talking about Ai and how big of an impact it is really opened my eyes. So many people in today's world like Ai so much because it makes things easier, but the majority of people don't understand that ai isn't perfect, and it has failed many times including someone losing their life. As Avva Thach discusses in the video, ai isn't very inclusive and still has a long way to go, until it is close to flawless. In certain situations and if ai is used correctly it can be beneficial; however I think it is important to note that ai will never be as good as the human brain. Working towards ai being more inclusive is very important, especially because of how popular and advanced technology is getting.

What an important and timely talk, Avva! It is going to be so imperative to create thoughtful solutions to deal with the inevitable bias that will be present in AI. Whether in terms of access, how AI behaves/interacts with people or benefitting from its use, these are important questions that we need to keep asking!

This Ted talk empowered me to want to take precaution and to look into this type of technology with caution. The talk of the AI hit very deep because we don’t always take into account all of these errors due to the economic status or social status that these devices gives you. I learned that we have to be more diverse with our technology and AI to stop these disconnections and tragedies that continue to grow due to this type of technology.

Professor Avva Thachs TED talk goes on to explain a wide range of examples on how our reliance on technology is nearly dangerous and is being taken on without care. We shouldn't be rushing things that were meant to take time and dedication to build character and a more "eqauitable" life as before. Also, more diverse voices need to be input so that it be more acquainted to the technology user. This along with time and dedication being put towards to bettering of a more perfect and diverse AI.

This TEDx Talk has given me another perspective on the rise in Artificial Intelligence in the Digital Age. Having studied Digital Media for the past 2 years, I have found that AI is an extremely useful and powerful tool, yet with great power comes great responsibility.
While AI can do many things better and more efficiently than humans, AI fails to do many small and minor details that humans can such as feel and correct. I love the example you used at the beginning where AI introduced our first self-driving vehicles, however, it can malfunction, which unfortunately was the case with the woman crossing the street.
AI can be used in many different ways to help benefit learning and workplaces, however, can we find a balance between the benefits of AI and human operations? Once this balance is found in humanity, the world will advance at maximum capacity.
The use of AI is without a doubt on the rise in society in all fields. However, I believe that there should not be an AI takeover, but a tool that can be used to create the perfect developments for our future.

This TED talk gave me insight on how much we as a society including big companies depend on AI and technology. This isnt a good thing because technology still isnt fully advanced enough to follow specific voices and to understand diversity. AI and technology comes with so many helpful resources and good benefits but truthfully a lot of people would be lost without it which is not good. Most people expect AI and tech to take over the world but we must understand the down sides to both.

I believe this talk gave a lot of insight into what is going on within creating AI technology. There are pros and cons with this technology but can be better and sufficient if those come together to ensure that AI can be safe in all aspects so that situations such as watching out for someone on the road and ensuring that AI is aware of what’s going on and that will include adding emotional intelligence within the strategies that are being created now.

This was a very interesting topic that shared a lot of information about AI that people may either forget or don't even know about. We often consider the benefits of AI voices but never take the time to break down how they can be dangerous. The examples given on how AI has sadly harmed people or put them in dangerous positions are something many more people need to become aware of. I have had many situations where using AI has given me false information for things such as research and directions. Overall hearing this Ted Talk tells me we are still not where we need to be when it comes to fully putting our trust in AI.

It's worth noting that the Uber incident was a test drive with a human safety driver on board that was supposed to monitor and intervene if the cars software failed. The safety driver was watching TV on her smart phone when the lady was struck. The car didn't slow down for the pedestrian as the self-driving software wasn't designed to expect pedestrians crossing the road outside of crosswalks. This doesn't sound like the need for diverse voices, but human negligence on one or both parties.

Humans should not rely on AI as much as they currently do because it can lead to a loss of critical thinking and problem-solving skills. While AI can provide quick and efficient solutions, it often lacks the nuanced understanding and creativity that humans bring to complex situations. Over-reliance on AI could also result in decreased job opportunities and economic disparities, as machines take over tasks that were once performed by humans. Furthermore, ethical concerns arise when decisions are made by AI without human oversight, potentially leading to biased or unjust outcomes. Therefore, it's essential to strike a balance and ensure that AI is used as a tool to augment human capabilities rather than replace them.
