This is the prosess. When devs make changes they will typically do extreme changes to see how the system react. They then have a range they know will be to much/to little. As they make further adjustments they will refign the range till it settels on the right values though the process of elimination.
I am all for positive changes, I prefer it to be more like what it's meant to be. Many of the character I made were obviously very over powered. So it was inevitable that they would throw these in before they open EA. They will react to the data they have and with them only being a small team. But it's cool they still managed to get this patch out, so they can see the information a week before they shut the server, right?
I realize that it is early access and I know there have been a lot of changes and that there are a LOT more coming down the pike, but the changes to Paladin were an extremely bitter pill. Still a very fun class, though.
As I show in the video they nerfed the NPC's too so it has kind of balanced it self out I guess. It's currently Alpha so Early Access starts on December 13th which will see more changes happening I am sure. I am cool with nerfs as long as they are fair, they said there would be many balances closer to EA too.
There was a roundtable that touched on a lot of these nerfs yesterday, I believe. Some of which doesn't seem intentional, and one thing is just the nerfs. Doesn't really matter if numbers are lowered across the board. My concern is scaling - I'm hearing reports that auto attack damage barely scale at all from low level and into the 30's. That doesn't seem right to me. Attribute points also seem to have a negligable effect on output. 5 points for 1 damage, give or take. Which is absurd considering the scarcity. At level 4 a Wizard gets a nuke that hits for 70 baseline. You mean to tell me I need to get 50 INT on my gear to see a 10 % increase to its throughput? Makes stat and gear feel pointless.
Hmm yeah that is a concern! Unless they have done that because they are bringing in the Mastery system again in EA. We will have to wait and see right Do you have a link to the roundtable by chance please so I can see this? Thanks for your feedback man I really appreciate it. 👍
@@CheekyChapGaming I watched this recording on Twitch yesterday, but it also seems Jadeon uploaded the discussion to his youtrube channel: th-cam.com/video/LEqXI6YCREg/w-d-xo.html Its an interesting listen.
