Great Video, very comprehensive and honest review. I have been thinking of getting one of these but couldn't make my mind up. I will definitely be buying one now, thanks to you my friend. All the best and tight lines 👍 🎣🎣
Cracking video... i just wondered what connection method/app you use when your go pro is attached on the end... as I have also tried this but with the standard connection it looses connection after about 10 sections and I regularly use 30+sections but would like to be able to use my go pro at that length.. many thanks..
A great review....I already knew I wanted one of these, but this just confirmed it...so many great baiting situations can be achieved that normal casting could not.... trouble is, I cannot seem to find anyone with any in stock right now....I did email Nash (twice) asking about availability but have had no response (twice)..hopefully they are too busy frantically making more bushwhackers to give me an answer!
Hi Martyn, Thanks for your comments, I am pleased the review was useful. The Bushwhacker really is superb. Have you tried all the reputable online sellers such as TFT, Fishing Megastore (Glasgow), Tober Tackle, Bristol Tackle, AD etc? Either way, good luck and enjoy when you get one. Regards, Mike
@@mikeajcarpfishing1415 Nash did respond eventually and seems they are due back end of March..I have one on pre-order and will get more sections too...can't wait, I have plenty of swims in mind...have you ever used it in open water, rather than poking it into little spots....I mean as a different and stealthy approach?
@@carpnstuff Hi, yes used it to place baits in open water above clear spots - it is very versatile, you will probably use it on a lot of situations, not just in the margins. Mike
Hi, thank you for your feedback, really appreciated. I haven't posted anything for a while as I have been maxed out at work 😞but just doing a September rod bender video at the moment and planning a review of a bite alarm. Cheers, Mike
Great video. I have a bushwhacker as well but was wondering if you had any tips for finding clear spots whilst using the pole. Hope that makes sense. Thanks
Hi Hugh, Thanks for your message and comments on the video. Have you tried one of the leading bridges Nash released late summer of 21? They fit across the baiting spoon and you can then use the Bushwhacker to lead precise spots. In clear waters I also mount a GoPro on a arm so it is submerged and then analyse the footage, this can however be very time consuming and a bit subjective. Cheers, Mike
@@hughdutton381 Hi Hugh, I think you may have to purchase it as part of a 'Pro' kit new for 2022 that I think also includes an arm for a Deeper and possibly also the new 'pro-XL spoon'. Take a look on the Nash website as there is some good info about the bridge. Cheers, Mike
Hi, Thank you for your comment. For me it was a case of what was available at the time. The spare poles were stuck on the container ship that ran aground in the Suez Canal. However the advantage of buying a second set was that I got a spare spoon. The disadvantage was I ended up with a second pole that had the rubberised handle and therefore I only had 19 useable poles instead of 20. Once they became available, I did purchase some individual sections that took the range of my bush whacker to about 45m. Hope this is helpful. Regards, Mike
Hi, to be honest, I haven't tried to snap a pole and equally I haven't had one snap or even show signs of snapping. Personally, I have found them to be very robust. Regards, Mike
@@johnmichael1220 Hi, If you are not fishing at long range the Bushwhacker is great. If you need to go beyond 40 or so metres then a bait boat is the way to go. Personally, I use the Bushwhacker 30 to 40 times to one use of the bait boat. Mike
Is all this really necessary? If anyone is a competent fisherman you will have excellent watercraft and manage to catch fish. Seems to me Carp fisherman are all about SHOW and how much money the really do like to waste on silly novelty items. Did Chris Yates and any old school carp fisherman use any of this modern day rubbish? 🤔🤔🤔
Hi, thanks for your comment, I respect your opinion and my review is hopefully there to help people choose if a baiting pole is worth the money. IMHO technology moves on. I am sure there are few, if any, 'old school' anglers still using split cane rods vs modern carbon rubbish, centre pin reels vs today's fixed spools and old style fishing line vs mono, braid or fluorocarbon. Back in the 70's I was sceptical about poles - fast forward 40+ years and the novelty factor isn't diminishing. Therefore is it really modern day rubbish or just another available, non-compulsory, tool in the armoury of an angler - that is up to the individual to decide. I appreciate the debate you have opened up :-)
Nicely done..... Uve made my mind up to buy one

can a heli set up be used with these bushwhackers?
