Unfortunately, the cult of the Wrangler, and its unique off-road capabilities, isn't the best fit for most drivers on the road today, even after the significant upgrades in refinement for the 2012 model year, Wiesenfelder says.

So far this is the best clip about 2012 wrangler.Shows negative things about them but that make them so popular.And I love mine :o)) And about head restrains in your rear view...simply flick over the entire sit.
This is exactly how I feel about the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. We had a 2008 Unlimited and we really didn't like it as it was: underpowered, difficult to get up into, and had an overwhelming amount of wind noise (we had the soft top). However, we could go anywhere and the ride was surprisingly comfortable for a Jeep.
Still getting one.
Love this vehicle. The orange is great, but I gotta have the GECKO. Perfect color for the perfect rock hopper.

I was pretty close to writing up a pretty mean comment lol, but you redeemed yourself at the end sir. Very well said :) and ill be the first to agree, the wrangler is NOT for everyone. But there will always be a wrangler in my garage until the day the cease production. Then ill go hunting for a white Rubicon TJ.

Those step rails are so high as to not ruin the ground height or offroad capability (one of the Jeeps biggest strong holds). Come on people just lift your damn legs up and get inside!!
theres a storage unit in the bottom part of the trunk that stores the top of the car.
I'm seriously thinking about getting a Wrangler Unlimited so I was happy to see him point out the negatives, however I didn't any of the things he said as being a negative! I have a pick-up now that seems far more problematic than what he has pointed out here!!

i don't really see him pointing out any negatives. he was just trying to be thorough for cross-shoppers who are considering the wrangler for the first time. people should really stop interpreting these videos as a "Best Off-road Vehicle Nominees" tape. he actually says that he LOVES JEEPS. in a way, he's probably warding off the type of people who will buy this just to turn it into a fashion accessory, which would be great shame (the fashion acc. part not the warding off).

now all those things you complain about ride height its the best 4wd you can buy today no one wants a damn lowrider for off road
the spare tire stopping you from seeing out the back its a jeep thing get used to it
it is extremely comfy on very bumpy dirt roads thats filled with potholes you barely feel the bumps and you forgot to mention that you can remove the doors

the truth is 2012 jeep wrangler unlimited with V6 penstar is the best 4x4 off road suv in the world and it has 10.2 inchs of ground clearance and that is the best in the world maybe for e.g hummer h2 9.7 in - hummer h3 9.1 in - fj cruiser 9.5 inchs - nissan xterra 9.5 inchs - toyota land cruiser 8.9 inchs plus wrangler has great price and value and its so reliable and maybe one of the best

This guy is aperently used to review high class mecedes bens or bmw's. but we can't blame him, only true mans can apreciate a jeep xD
Let's be clear about one thing. This is NOT a crossover and is NOT marketed as a crossover. That's a completely different class of vehicle. The Wrangler shouldn't be compared to any crossover. The Wrangler competes with the FJ Cruiser and Xterra. The Wrangler isn't meant to be compared to a Traverse, Pilot, or Highlander. I don't honestly don't think the Wrangler compares well to 1-ton dually pickups or sports cars either. That's because those are a different CLASS of vehicle.
This guy is complaining about having to shift the transfer case into the desired drive mode!? Can't wait to watch him talk about a manual transmission equipped vehicle.
2012 wrangler can eat any other 4x4 in off roading include ( toyota land cruiser - range rover )
If you were a real jeep owner you would know that the rear tire and windshield motor box aren't a problem because you just stick your head out the window.
ummm if you continued to watch the entire video that was the point he was trying to make. The theme of the video was him showing that the Wrangler is for a certain niche of people, not somebody who needs a SUV or crossover for practicality. So at the end of the video he basically said what you said in your last sentence.

Uhh WHAT? This is NOT a crossover..this is a REAL SUV with REAL offroad capabilities. Get your facts right Carscon.....And boohoo Is it really THAT much extra work to pull a lever to go into 4WD? Thats how it use to be, and thats how it should remain, less to go wrong if you don't have stupid electronic switches that are built to fail after a given amount of time
this is worse than the Chet review, this guy is making too many comparisons but, at least he understand the meaning of the jeep

Mr. Wiesenfelder is clueless. Even non-car people know that you wouldn't compare this to the crossover class.
