    Excellent presentation. Subject - licorice root (dried) number 1 favorite herbal med. Very powerful often needs use of a buffer for benefit to health. Tks for heads up.

    It's important to also note that it elevate prolactine levels, so it might cause hormonal imbalance in younger women who need the normal prolactine to be fertile. High prolactine causes the female body not to ovulate.

    As a child in the 1950s, I would go to the children’s matinee at our local cinema and chew on a licorice root whilst watching the movies.

    when I was at school we used to by this licorice root sticks and monky nuts from a local herbal shop that was a long time agao I am now 75 so thanks

      Ive been eating it all my life its extremely good for stress. And almost all cough medicine is made out of it. I stoped buying shop made stuff ages ago and now make a sweet tea from Liquorice root, honey and vinigar. It's extremely effective.

    Hi guys, thanks for the video. I felt it was a little bit drawn out though (if I had to make any criticism!) I liked the artfully done photos to make the sticks look more appealing :D. Liquorice is an extremely important product for individuals who are coming away from allopathic steroid treatment. My herbalist recommended to use it for a month then give it a break for a fortnight. In a nutshell, the liquorice tells the anterior pituitary gland to produce more ACTH. The ACTH tells the adrenal cortex to produce more cortisol (self-manufacture of steroids).

    Can you tell me how much licorice root powder I can safely take per day for adrenal fatigue and hypoglycemia? I've been taking 1/8 tsp a few times per day. Is this ok indefinitely?

      I believe it's fine, but listen to your body. Also everyone's different and you should consult with your local doctor for such questions specifically related to yourself.

      Add Licorice Root to flavor up your different herb teas. My now asthma tea is Thyme. Restful nights.

      Same tho I am only 34 ^^ It is far better than any cough medicine on the market. I make it with ground licorice root, honey and vinigar.

      I prefer the whole root as thier is some lose in the powder form due to oxidation , I drink daily for the natural human growth hormones , I started this when I got into Chinese herbs. I'm 80 so what the hell do I know ,but I do seem healthier than 95 % around me. Hope you hv a long healthy life

      @@artcook1976 Thx alot, I have been thinking of getting my mother to try it because she has digestion issues but I am worried about her blood pressure where she is getting on in years, so I think DGL may suit her better. Do you find it effects you adversely at all?

    It's says the nature promise throat tea has 960 MG its says only have 100 MG but I think they mean glycerizzen so is that different howany cups can I drink ,I more than one treat tea today

      My experience of the use of licorice root 40 yrs , and started because of the fact that licorice root is a very high in natural growth hormones
      Go to a holistic doctor or a herbal practioner , you will get a different story from someone who is not trying to sell U unsafe pharmaceutical meds ,which all hv harmful side effects that cause something else to go wrong .
      Look them up

      @@lesterlasa3367 also from my yrs of holistic natural medicine , doctor I am not but for the fatty liver issue , i would diffinatly look into lemon oil and spirulina
      Seem to work wonders, of course your medical doctor wont want you to use ,because it very cost effective and works , hit the books and educate yourself , quit being poison by the medical field , go holistic
