Lincoln was a missionary in the same mission as me! The Beckstrands always talked so highly of him - cool to see a familiar face in one of your videos! Your channel is awesome.

The entire time your father was actually teaching you, allowing you to learn on your own.

Listening to your discussion is awesome, inspiring. starting with 49K to 15M fund is the evidence. Guy like me who didn't have idea about fund manager, dreamed only getting a job, now end up over 50 years. Can he still dream about creating own fund with 50K? not sure if realistic dream at all! But loving it this channel.

This is nice because it makes door two look impossibly hard, which both makes door three look easier, and sets an expectation that door three will be work that is maybe similar to but not quite, door two.

I am a fund manager working in the UK for a family office. I don't have a fancy MBA degree and passed school with mediocre results. All I have done is CFA level 1, didn't pass the rest as there is quite load of rubbish to learn that doesn't need in value investing. High level of EQ helps me in investing in the Emerging market (India) in Sep2013, Gold mining companies in Dec 2015 and Oil companies in March 2020 that gave well above average returns for the family I work for.

Saying this at 5:01 Tier 2 is what they teach everyone to do, to work hard, that hard work is the key to success when in reality, you work hard and the success goes to the business owner. The truth and the trick is, to work SMART and only work hard FOR YOURSELF. I'm assuming that's Tier 3 right? Tier 2 doesn't really make it BIG until they change their mindset and step over to Tier 3 if it is what I think it is.
