I loved your video! I just started to punch needle and did not want to invest in buying an already made frame until I knew I wanted to continue. So glad you sent me an e-mail. You saved me a lot of money. I hope to see more videos. Maybe one on how to stretch the monk's cloth on the gripper frame. Good job!
You can tap them on with upholstery tacks. You have to be a bit careful of not hammering the teeth on the gripper strips though. An alternative might be to ask someone to do the stapling for you :)

What sizes are the wood battens? They look thinner than 3x8 inches
Hello, very good video, thanks for the tips, they are great..I have one question, how deep and wide are the wooden straps you are using? Thanks
Thank you
Are there alternative methods of attaching the grip to the frame? I’m terrified of staple guns but need a custom sized frame so I don’t want to buy it

@@shonaaitken7635 Thank you for helping us out! Great idea!
Can two 40” strips fit on a 30 x 30
It would come up short. You will want 3 of the 40" strips to fit a 30x30 frame. Thank you for watching and asking questions! I'm honored. xx, Shawna
@@ShawnaFosket thank you for replying that really helped.
