This is a great response. Time is how we interpret change, but it has no independent existence. It’s a framework the mind uses to make sense of reality. Evolution doesn’t need time to work; it’s the unfolding of potential within the present moment. Change happens not in time but as the inherent activity of existence itself, always here, always now.

EXISTENCE is synonymous within BEING. All of EXISTENCE exists now. There is no more EXISTENCE to come. If there was it would have to already exist. The PRESENT is all that is present, indeed, IT is ALL PRESENCE. Thinking = change, NOW, the PRESENT is changeless.

The past, as we commonly understand it, does not exist in any tangible way. It is a collection of memories, stories, and impressions stored in the mind, arising as thoughts in the present moment. These thoughts are fleeting, like clouds passing through the sky, and have no existence outside of the awareness in which they appear. From the perspective of pure awareness, the past is not a separate entity but a mental construct-a projection of the mind onto the eternal now.
When we dwell on the past, we give life to what is no longer here, often chaining ourselves to regret, nostalgia, or unresolved emotions. But when we observe these memories without attachment, we see them for what they are: transient experiences appearing in the present. Pure awareness invites us to see beyond these constructs and rest in the stillness of the now. In this stillness, the past loses its grip because it is recognized as an illusion-a thought-story arising in the vast space of awareness.
In truth, all that exists is this moment. The timeless presence of pure awareness encompasses all experiences, including those we label as "past." The more we connect with this awareness, the less we feel bound by mental constructs like time. This doesn’t mean we deny the past or its lessons but rather recognize it as a reflection in the mirror of the now. From this perspective, freedom arises-not from escaping the past, but from seeing its true nature.

Thank you! The past always exist as the pure event in the field of consciousness. The conscious experience of the understanding the event is always changed by the time. For example, my first experience of event was a full of suffering and sorrow but after years I have an experience of understanding the reasons and circumstances of that event. And maybe after some time my understanding of the event will become deeper. We can call it the process of maturation.

Dear Rupert, you have spent so much of your life explaining the finite mind and its way of being. You also explain that infinite consciousness in its non dream state (the finite mind) can only ever know the infinite. Do you possibly have any more to share on what consciousness may be understanding, thinking and doing as infinite consciousness. It would be wonderful to try understand any insights into g-ds way, not as the finite mind but from the perspective of infinite consciousness? Thank you.

    In linear terms, time exists apparently as past, present & future. In the suchness of nature ie all that is what it is - time does not exist;
Because our Light of Awareness shines & reflects on everything but doesn't cast shadows on all the things.
All that is - are appearances, images, sensations, etc imprinted in our memories, and will be gone when our body-mind ceases to function.
In practice, to whom whose mind is abide-less ie detached from all things in a state of Thusness, time doesn't exist - the Teaching says. 😊🙏🙇‍♂️🌷

If the guy didn't do his yoga meditation, then he wouldn't have problems with a past or if a past is real. Obviously yoga meditation left him more confused ,that now he is stepping out of the frying pan and into the fire of more mumbo jumbo from a so called teacher.
All your past is in your present where it exists so that you can recall your past experiences for the purpose to survive and evolve in the present moment and for as a future reference. Whats so difficult about all that.
At the inception of your lineage generational, that is the point in time to the point in time of your presence. Hippy love has nothing to do with it all.
That means your inception has already manifested from the elements of the Universe and transcended. That means your lineage inception was initially FORMED ( from elements) not BORN ( biology), however both are in a symbiotic relationship.
The guy has nearly got it by bringing biology into his equation and all the so called teacher could say is " I am not sure if I understood you" and instead opted for sorrow and feelings as an answer. Now that is proof so called teachers do not have a clue how elements and biology is the factor for your true nature in reality in reality. "Bear in mind" that your lineage inception Formed source has been surviving and evolving its host the Biological body and brain for aeons, after all, how do you think your lineage has come thus far.
Reality couldn't car less what so called teachers nor gurus beliefs are nor what someones state of conscious is in nor what one perceives. The guy didn't need confirmation, he had his own answers.

We can’t fathom a split instant of time - at quantum levels, 10^-33 second is an eternity, at Newtonian levels, a quadrillion seconds is an eon or eternity. I’m not sure how well we can link our emotions or consciousness to Time, though you’d think that some sort of relationship occurs there. Deep and difficult stuff.

Both the "remembrance of earlier moments" and the "anticipation of later moments" (leading to the impression of an increasing distance between earlier moments and the Present, and a decreasing distance between later moments and the Present) make the ceaseless flux of the Present SEEM to be a movement "from" earlier moments "to" later moments.
In other words, remembrance and anticipation make the Present SEEM to be a "movement through time".
However, as both earlier and later moments (and the steadily increasing/decreasing temporal distance between them and the Present) are not actually anywhere to be found beyond the finite mind, the Present cannot ACTUALLY be a movement from earlier moments to later moments through time. This apparent movement is nothing more than the ILLUSION of time.
Flux itself is logically beginningless and endless, and is therefore timelessly present.

But what about the scar on my forehead I got when I stumbled at the age of 6? What about the video from high school graduation day long ago? What about the poem I wrote for my first love as a lovesick teen etc., etc.? That seems to my limited understanding to point to a level where time do exist, we could call it the human level. Then there might very well be another level where time does not exist and our view of the past might change. What we once thought was bad might later be recognized as good as so on. But just to say time does not exist seems very lofty to me.

Is pure sensing the ultimate goal here ? Or isn´t it the the language which builds the world and gives the sensing a sense as things can develop based on this "language" consens? I would say for example that the dialogue here is a model of what I mean. But I have to commit that if language is narrowed down to single words and you try to catch the single word then it dissolves after a while and only a feeling is left. Thanks for sharing all these vids&thoughts&teaching I am more confused than ever but sensing that it is the right way moving forward (for whatever purpose)

Time is not a line. Time is a societal imposed concept.
The apparent passage of time can only be truly cognized by the arising and passing of bodily sensations.
One sensation after another, one moment after another.
Consciousness, sentient, or otherwise is awareness of the apparent serialised, successive moments of time's passage.
    Thoughts?
