    I have an 03 Tacoma and I watched this videos for some ideas. Love the wind chimes.

    Leave it to a young guy to teach this old guy the tricks. Thanks much for this video (great BTW) as well as your video on the AC backlights. Been putting both of these off forever.

    I bought that same stuff on your recommendation. It worked GREAT. Even took the windshield wiper opening cover off, cleaned and painted it. Made a world of difference. THANK YOU.

    Come spring time, I’m going to do this to my fender flares. Thanks for the informative videos!!

    Did this a few weeks ago with the same products and it looks great. Used index cards behind the flares. Thanks for sharing this!

    Great video with great information. Keep up the good work. Definitely doing this to my plastics on my truck. Mines a 2001 Toyota Tacoma SR5 pre-Runner V6 edition. So yeah it’s definitely a little weathered.

    I agree with you that the only way to restore faded trim is to paint it. Great job. I just need to find the rubber molding for my overfenders as all four deteriorated.

    This was EXACTLY what I was looking for . Great job. I am replacing small rubber trim under fender and body. Study side Toyota . Keep your truck stock man looks very clean. Was offered 9g for mine there becoming a collector it seems.

      @@BK_BT I will be spraying mine this spring. It's pretty easy. Base coat then clear right away. Wet sand and buff.

      @@BK_BT I get most my hard to find parts for my 2000 Tacoma from sunnyside parts barn. And they actually pick up the phone when I call.

    I slid playing cards behind my fender flares before painting mine

    • @birdseyesupply
      @birdseyesupply 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great idea I bet they were also much easier to slide in than the index cards I used.

    Looks good. I was going to paint my valence, but for $52 I bought a new aftermarket Valence off eBay. Easy to remove and install too. A bit more pricey, but still low cost for new black plastic.

    I have an 02 that's the same color as yours (Imperial Jade Mica - shame they don't offer it any more). I'm going to try this as my over-fenders aren't looking very good anymore. Mine has almost 300k on it, how about yours? No major repairs either. Just tires and exhaust.

    The idea for stuff like back to black is to use it before your trim fades.

  • @linenleslie6870
    @linenleslie6870 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks for the video! OK, so... I am attempting this and when I used the prep spray, i was trying to be precise but it seemed that the rubber part behind the plastic, or just the grime, smeared quite a bit onto the side of my white truck (my clear coat is probably shot, so maybe that is part of the problem?) It was in the garage at the time but the sun was shining in on it while I was doing it too... it will not come off now. What should I do? I tried to spray more prep spray on it but it wouldn't budge. Goo gone did nothing. What else should I try?

    • @linenleslie6870
      @linenleslie6870 ปีที่แล้ว

      I tried rubbing alcohol also, did not work. What did work was Weiman Glass cooktop cleaner & polish of all things! 😅

    • @linenleslie6870
      @linenleslie6870 ปีที่แล้ว

      Another thing.... just tried to do my grille, and the prep spray is making my chrome peel and chip off within 10 minutes of spring and wiping... I even taped beforehand! I don't know what to do now, I probably have to peel off the chrome and paint it all black 😢
