An excellent movie; one of my favorites.

Good stuff as always from Eddie! "Clash by Night" is pretty intense in the bitterness of Stanwyck's and Ryan's characters. Robert Ryan was so completely convincing as the many mean, nasty characters he did. I was really surprised to read a few yrs ago that in reality he was a really nice guy.
