still testing? I wonder if they've found a solution yet for the unacceptably high amount of wind noise coming inside at 110mph that is keeping them from being in service.
Hey mate, I’d really recommend doing a day at Derby soon. I’d love to see your reactions to all the test trains and 37s and especially if you manage to find a good day there, I’d recommend Mondays if possible 😂
Any freight trains that have gaps will create lots of drag winds at high speed. I found that out as a kid before health and safety I had to hang onto the gantry holding up the roof at Bletchley.
It's the traction inverters. The way they work is engineered differently on different EMU classes, which is why for example 350s and 323s both make their own different distinctive sounds.
I wonder how many of those Fords at 33.30 will have 'wet-belts' that are known for failing, and Ford refusing to repair them or replaced the wrecked engine.
@@peterwhitaker4038 London Northwestern Railway are temporarily using some of the West Midlands Railway 730/0s, because the London Northwestern Railway 730/2s aren't entering service until 2025 due to their higher top speed causing problems with excessive wind noise going inside them, which will need to be fixed.
Thanks so much ❤
