Thanks for joining me on another TOUGH winter session! If you'd like to learn more about this channel, fishing days, online tuition and more please visit the website at www.catchfishingchannel.com Thanks for watching and please stay safe! Jamie :)
Hi Jamie, it's amazing how a simple tactic can be so effective. I found fishing small venues that fish definately spook from a feeder and a simple link with just a ssg keeps the fish coming! If possible i feed with a catapult but often start with just one cage feeder crammed with maggots and plugged with soft cloudy groundbait is enough to get fish interested. I love this simple kind of fishing, just a soft bomb rod no pole to be so effective. Take care Bill
@@CatchFishingChannel Hi Jamie i have gone downhill rapidly and i am bedbound now. Watching fishing video's like yours helps me deal with my situation. Kindest regards Bill
I went there last Sunday fished the floating raft to your right had a nice 10lb mirror on banded pellet with method feeder and micro shot pellet keep posting mate 👍
Thanks for loading another great session up. Great to see you out on the bank and nailing a few fish. Amazing how you hit that same spot everyone between the two floating islands. Great bonus perch on the session. Is there any general rules for fishing different depths during the day..obviously later in the day it gets warmer but would you start in a shallower swim first off in winter? Thx again Jamie.
Great vid. again Jamie. I always struggle with under hand cast to get accurate, is there a chance you could should this with some detail in another vid. 👏👍
Good video Jamie how are you and your dad mate was that your dad in the peg to your left and is there any chance you could do a pole fishing video on a canal please
Thanks Thomas mate! No dad is OK but he's been staying at home through this period. Yes of course mate I've got some pole fishing videos lined up so hopefully you'll enjoy those mate :)
Only lakes seem fishable at the moment, though I guess there is always somebody to winkle out a fish or two from the Trent, Don etc.... It's beyond me though 😄
Cracking video bagger really enjoyed it thanks for sharing.question please do you ever dunk feeder before you cast the feeder out before you switched to a bomb or would that have slowed the maggots down too much
Thanks Nick! Because there wasn't any wind and I expected the bites to come quickly so I needed to watch the tip as soon as the feeder went in. You can still see bites when it's like that even if the line is on the surface mate. That make sense?
Nice just to be out catching Jamie. Think the reel needs a drop of oil, got a squeeze there! Notice you backwinding on the one that got away, not using the clutch. Any reason or just personal preference?
Love the videos with great information in them. just a question really I been looking high and low for the matrix bait and accessory bag and they are out of stock every place you don't no when new stock availability is.
What? No Sturgeon? Hahaha. most other types tho. Got to ask, how's your Dad mate? Hardly seen him this last year. Here's one that had me questioning my own sanity. With a seriously reduced income, I made close to £800 of purchases, on much wanted Matrix gear. Right up until my pay was stopped last september. Always right happy with how my gear was building up. And at about that time, early autumn, I asked my wife it she would pick me up a new lunch box. With a simple "don't break the bank" request. She's a girl girl, came back with a new lunch bow. From a local pound shop. the first thing I did was check it over for imperfections, and hunt for something to moan about. Since thinking about that a couple of days back, I find it heard to believe that I'd quibble over a quid's worth of plastic box, right on the back of such a twisted sense of priority. I wouldn't change my gear at all, but it's that dreaded irony I strive to avoid, and got swept along with... Take the greatest care my friend. Bye for now.
Oh Graham these certainly are testing times aren't they and it's amazing how lots of people are looking at things in different ways now isn't it! Dad is really good thank you, he had his jab a month ago and he's not been on the bank at all as he's making sure he stays at home. He's missing the bank but he's staying positive thank you mate :)
Top video. Which type/brand of maggot feeder would you recommend/did you use? I tried the Preston one weekend think it was 12g Ics but found it too small and fiddly
Thanks Samuel! I used a Kamasan Black Cap in this video but to be honest it was right. I needed something smaller and lighter but I didn't have any others with me mate
I'm watching lots of u tube recently and can't understand how various sponsored anglers are on the bank although I haven't been able to fish since September year. How is this possible during lockdown if we can't travel to venues?
@@CatchFishingChannel hi Jamie thanks for your reply. It's all confusing, I've contacted local fisheries and they have to remain closed as they are non essential. Apparently we are only allowed to fish if we can walk to the venue but as you can imagine that's not really possible with seatbox etc. What's classed as local? Cheers Matt

No not on this rig mate
Anyone notice the islands moving around ? Thanks for the video 🇬🇧👍🏻
Haha yes they are tethered so they move a few inches each way mate!
Cracking video bagger really enjoyed it thanks for sharing.question please do you ever dunk feeder before you cast the feeder out before you switched to a bomb or would that have slowed the maggots down too much
Crack vid, as always Jamie. Can I ask, whats the reason for not sinking your line between rod tip and feeder?
Thanks Nick! Because there wasn't any wind and I expected the bites to come quickly so I needed to watch the tip as soon as the feeder went in. You can still see bites when it's like that even if the line is on the surface mate. That make sense?

Thanks Dale really appreciate it! I don't off hand mate but have you tried Aston Park Fisheries tackle shop? They have a good stock mate
@@CatchFishingChannel thanks mate will look. just this morning got my hand on the horizon x 3000 reel to so that a bonus for me
Hi Jamie, love the videos, keeps me sane in theses testing times, just one question, what dictates changing hook lengths?
Greay video unlucky on that better fish. What size bomb were you using?
Thanks Adam it was an 1/8 ounce bomb mate
Great video ;)
Thanks Frank!

I think he uses the kamasan maggot feeder in 20 grams

Why do you change your hooklength length ?
That reel could sure use a cleaning and a drop of lube 😁
Haha yes it was the plastic bit on the handle it's had a drink of WD40 so it's all good now mate :)
