    You can buy Like 1000s of the orings to put inside those fill valves. I do it for all my marui mags. For pistol mags...you need size H-001 and there are larger ones.

    Real steel charging handle are quite a bit longer so they would not be compatible with each other as far as I know but there are plenty of aftermarket support for TM that you can easily find a repro of a real one for the mws ( geissle airborne are very nice )!

    Hi, Is it Ok to use Green gas rather than the HFC134a?

    • @RogueSystem087
      @RogueSystem087  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Ying Fan appears to be okay with green gas, however, because the buffer is made out of plastic, that part can break and the MWS is not compatable with WA buffers because they are too wide *unless you heavily modify.
      Note that angry gun is currently releasing a metal buffer! heavy recoil and speed buffer version too!

    • @yingfan5042
      @yingfan5042 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +RogueSystem087 Thank you very much for replying! Apart from the buffer, can the plastic nozzle be damaged as well due to using the Green gas?

    • @RogueSystem087
      @RogueSystem087  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      that's the thing, so far, it doesn't seem to break!! which i'm quite suprised myself considering that it has a couple of extra moving parts inside!
      i've actually been running this on a slightly higher pressure green gas for a while now and the nozzle appears to hold up!

  • @Allegro_Giusto
    @Allegro_Giusto 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi, I have a noob question - how does the bolt cycle in comparison with real steel? Does the gas actually move down the barrel and through the gas tube to re cycle the BCG? Or does the gas cycle it instantly after leaving the magazine directly? Great video by the way 👌

    • @vk-br1dr
      @vk-br1dr 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      its cycles instantly after leaving the mag. I own a TM mk18 mod.1, first airsoft I ever bought. Now Canada is trying to ban airsoft, there goes my new hobby.

    To relieve the most spring tension during long term storage, do I leave the fire selector on semi or full auto?

    • @Obnoxymoron
      @Obnoxymoron 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shouldn't really make a difference but semi. Just make sure that the hammer is not cocked! The selector switch has a thicker part on full auto that enables the hammer (and sear) to drop again and semi has the bigger opening so if you doubt the japanese engineering just leave it on semi.

    I just went to look at a used MWS, the nozzle wasn’t going back when pulled, as if there was no spring. Does that cause problems?

    • @user-uv5ld3cx5t
      @user-uv5ld3cx5t 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The MWS system intentionally made it such that the nozzle is retained (looks like as if it's stuck) at the hopup chamber until the bolt reaches about 60% of its travel distance, of which the spring will reach maximum tension and pull the nozzle backwards. This allows better gas efficiency and better airseal compared to complementary GBB systems.

    nice review! if you don't mind me asking, do you find the lower FPS on the Marui disadvantageous vs the ghk for use in hongkong? what fps does yours shoot at now and is it enough to use with .3bbs?

    • @RogueSystem087
      @RogueSystem087  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      it still shoots around the same (right now a little higher because of the hot summer in hong kong).
      Personally, I prefer the ghk hop up more so than the marui hop up (in this case), the reason is because i have had fantastic performance from AEG barrels and buckings (not to mention the hop up arm you can make an M nub for it so i very much prefer the GHK hop up). I also like the captain america setup from samoon made for the GHK M4 along with the TNT package. So lots of reasons for me to prefer the GHK m4.
      For the marui, its not bad, pretty good, but not.... like its ''impressive'' its consistent but not particularly impressive in terms of .. all aspects associated with the hop up besides the consistency of the hop.
      I have used 0.3 gram bbs in the stock setup before, and honestly it couldn't carry the bb (which i expected being such a soft rubber). Right now its shooting 370 fps with 0.2 gram bbs and goes to 390 right now due to summer conditions. (note i made this review in decemeber, and the fps was still 370 ish).

    Hey! I was wondering what threads the mws accepts? If I were to replace the rail system would I get an AEG barrel nut or GBB

    • @RogueSystem087
      @RogueSystem087  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Altis Independent Films Hi there! i can tell you with confidence that the threading on the MWS is the same as regular AEG threadings like those you will find on PTS rails, and madbull rails (excluding the special madbulls made by G&Ps).
      HOWEVER, you will need an AEG barrel adapter which you can find on my channel here
      th-cam.com/video/v5NUtouywYs/w-d-xo.html
      You will need this barrel nut adapter if you use an AEG rail or otherwise the outer barrel will not be properly secured.
      I will note, that the only AEGs which I do not know about fitment, would be the one's that require a delta ring such as a VTAC or an Omega rail style rail.
      Best regards,

      So do you think the AEG Dytac Giselle rails will fit of course with the spacer.
      (sorry im a bit of a newbei when in comes to AEG parts)

    • @RogueSystem087
      @RogueSystem087  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Altis Independent Films it should fit, although I have not tried myself, I'm fairly certain they will fit since the threadings on the MWS are the regular aeg threads.
      Be entirely honest, the only thing i would be concerned about is torqueing down the barrel nut on the gun with the spacer because there's a descent amount of people out there who are installing by hand (such as noveske rails or strike industries rails that don't exactly have a specific area for you to take a wrench and torque down. (i ended using a pressure clamp tool as a wrench to help others install).
      Otherwise, you should be fine, just make sure u can the proper version of the dytac rails cos they make many

    hey!
    Thanks for review, really great and thorough!
    I'm thinking of getting into GBBR, just because it looks and feels cool :D I want to feel special also haha
    Sorry if I ask something wrong :)
    Since I'm in EU, my two options are: GHK m4 v2 OR TM MWS zet
    From specs (on redwolfairsoft.com) the only problem is that I'd have to upgrade TM from 280 to 400fps (1.5J) since that is the allowance in my country for assault rifles.
    My questions are:
    1. approx how pricey would that upgrade be?
    2. would you recommend the GHK or TM in this case? I can do some minor, but don't want any major, upgrade for whichever rifle
    Thanks a lot! Stay frosty!

    • @maX0229567
      @maX0229567 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, I have both so I can answer your questions.
      1. Both don't really need that much upgrade really, skirmishable out of the box, more on the marui side. I changed the buffer return spring on the ghk tho, the original one was weak.
      2. Both rifle would do just fine, GHK has an edge on realism and recoil, but TM is somewhat more accurate and reliable. However if you buy TM be expected to change the buffer tube or the lower assembly soon because shooting green gas with it might have a problem

    • @gordanovcaric7670
      @gordanovcaric7670 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@maX0229567 thank you a lot for answer!
      so if I don't want to meddle with the original rifle a lot (at least not internals), better option would be GHK?
      and if you could say, what is the difference in accuracy? like small or big (your approximation)?
      and what means "more reliable"? reliable in what way?
      sry to bother you and thanks a lot for help!
      I have only money for one, and a big stretch haha, so that's why I'm "afraid" to pick wrong one

    • @maX0229567
      @maX0229567 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@gordanovcaric7670 Both guns have solid internals, you can pick either one and it would be fine.
      Accuracy wise, when both TM and GHK are stock, TM's grouping at 5-7 meters are smaller by half.
      I ran into some bolt lock problems with the GHK, I took a file and grinded off some material and it has been fine ever since. The TM zet system is designed to counter this problem, but I don't have it long enough to tell you if it's solid or not, but there should be a lot of info for you on the internet.
      So to conclude, if you want the most realistic one, GHK. If you want more performance, and are willing to chime in some small money to upgrade the stock parts, TM for sure.

    • @RogueSystem087

      unfornately ghk was just a big disaster for me cos the stuff internally can't handle its own power (if u look up the problems, its not really fixable without paying a high cost to order the parts get it shipped and all). for me the marui was cheaper and more stable.
      in terms of pure performance, i would give it to the ghk (When it is working).

  • @playlifes26

    You are missing some details... what gas did you use? Does standard AEG grip fits? What outer barrel would fit, AEG, GBB or not?

    • @RogueSystem087
      @RogueSystem087  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +playlifes26
      gas I showed on the video, the can is in chinese and does not specify the contents as detailedly as a propane tank that you would commonly find in the US. In hong kong, its labelled as top gas, but also called green gas (word play in hong kong i guess). Not sure, but that's why i use.
      As for the AEG grips, AEG grips have a completely different interface relative to grips for ARs, since an AEG grip works by lining them up with the grooves on a mechbox, therefore it will not interface correctly with a GBB body of any kind (WE, WA, INO, TM etc etc). There's also cos the screw required to install is different and different holes. But the primary problem, is interfacing the grips is not possible due the size difference and straight up incompatibility.
      As for the outer barrel, i excluded that information because the TM M4 MWS uses their own proprietary barrel nut and barrel clamp system which i could not remove at the time. I later found out that it was rather easy to remove it.
      But to answer your question more directly, no barrels in the market right now will fit the marui M4 MWS. With the exception of the Angry Gun 300 Blackout kit barrels that were released a couple of days ago.
      best regards,
      RS087

    • @RogueSystem087
      @RogueSystem087  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Travis Lu i think it depends on how u view both systems, if u dont mind working on a ghk platform them go with it, i prefer TM cos its simpler in terms of using it, no hop up issues, no o rings blowing out, mag doesnt leak as often as ghk mags although to be fair anyone using gbb should use gbbs with the expectation of replacing o rings, since they are consumables. I think the downside of tm is dissassembling them aint as fun as a ghk, depends on you view it really.

    • @travislu3748
      @travislu3748 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wow thanks for the quick response! ghk has hop up issues? I was unaware of this. I know the ghk is known for Internal realism but I don't exactly know how? what makes the mws less realistic and why is the ghk more fun to disassemble?

    • @RogueSystem087
      @RogueSystem087  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      well to be honest i strongly reconmmend you research GHK a little more cos its worthwhile to know all the technical aspect of it, lots of information and reports of problems and many different builds have been done since then.
      The take down of tm is in a trigger box, lots of things are not similar to a real ar, where as a ghk has actual trigger pins, an actual hammer that locks with the base of the trigger and semi auto sear like a real AR, it looks very similar. Tm like i said its in a trigger box, as u can see in the video it does have a semi auto sear but it uses several other levers to move the primary sear, so the take down is more complex and less realistic.
      Compared to a GHK, WA, the tm is reallly really different, there’s almost nothing like it, whatseven more odd is the tm full auto sear has a role to play in both semi AND auto. Where as other ars the auto sear has nothing to do with semi.
      Research all this a little more carefullly before you buy, if you dont have the cash to pay someone to fix it for you, ur probs gonna have to learn it, see which one is best for you.
      My decision making process was as follows, taiwan parts are not readily available to me other than by Samoon, which i have to pay shipping everytime. Tm always has local support in Hong Kong, so my decision is logical and fairly obvious. As you can tell in the video too, opening the rifle is fairly straight forward to me as well so the complication does not apply to me.

      +an8kyoe unless if your bbs are somehow not going all the way up (which is common for bbs like madbull, G&G, they will jam up the follower causing it to feel like u fired all the shots in the mag with no bolt lock (the folllwer need to go all the way up for it bolt lock).
      my last thing is... maybe somehow magically your internal bolt mechansim in the trigger box is somehow malfunctining which is not likely o)O

    • @RogueSystem087
      @RogueSystem087  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      hmm have you ever taken apart a WA? its sorta like wiggling it past the full auto sear which u may need to press on it a little then just push the selector out (note the selector has detents pushing up against it, it will feel a little difficult at first, don't use a hammer, not needed!

    • @T7thK
      @T7thK 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Where is the full auto sear on the Marui? In the WA system, it's easy to find, but I'm not sure where it is on the marui

    • @RogueSystem087
      @RogueSystem087  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      yea its really hard to see if have never disassembled it before, because the full auto sear is right next a tertiary sear for the trigger.
      if you pop open your gun, have the hammer down, and pull your trigger you can see the trigger sear moving and that is how you tell the difference between the full auto sear and trigger sear.

    • @T7thK
      @T7thK 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah, so is it easiest to work out the selector switch between full auto and semi?

    • @RogueSystem087
      @RogueSystem087  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      you normally just wiggle it out, between semi and auto. Reason is because the selector catches on the back side of the trigger, so just wiggle it u'll eventually get it.
      I don't really pay attention to the specifics when i take apart the gun so forgive me, but i just remember it didnt' take long to wiggle it out.

    • @RogueSystem087
      @RogueSystem087  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +RogueSystem087 I am interested in PTS CMR 11inch & PTS Fortis REV free floating rail 12 inch, do you have any ideas which one could fit the marui M4 gbb better?

      @RogueSystem087  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Both rails are quite straightforward, to be honest, ur problem will probably be the shim that u need to hold the barrel. u can either make ur own like i did or buy after market shims thag currently being released. i suggest u just pick the one u like and then figure out the shim u need to install. cos that part can be annoying to some

      Its also worth noting, that the top part of the rail that locks in with the upper receiver willl have a small gap, but this is not a problem since the rail clamps onto the barrel nut tightly (as u can see mine is flush).

      +RogueSystem087 I purhcased the same rail that you are using today and I am waiting for 3rd party to release the shim which is designed for M4 MWS GBB.
      Thanks for your advise~

      Want to meet some foreigner to play together. haha~I also owned the marui m4 mws. How's your performance on your gun?

    • @RogueSystem087
      @RogueSystem087  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha maybe one day! rather busy during christmas with work! but u r more than welcome to visit ehobby! i work as the gun doc there!
      as for the marui m4 mws its been working really well. i will say the long distance range like 40+ meters needs a lot of work to tighten the groupings, and i do experience some cool down issues when extreme rapid firing. currently attemtping to filter out these minor problems, but otherwise its been very reliable so far.
