In the Franchise please add Hall of Fame back. They used to show us if retired players made it to the HOF.

You reminded me of the All-Pro or all-madden or all-decade teams that they used to have in the game... I know I'm not the only one who reminisces and misses the after mentioned
They kinda still do..if u go to legacy tab it shows new retired players n if they are in HOF
Go to legacy leaderboard. It will show if they made the hof or not
It's still there, it's just buried in menus and doesn't surface it anymore.
I liked the first Face of the Franchise. Small town kid, from High School to the pros, small elements of choice, pretty well written, and actually some drama during the draft. After that it just kinda fell apart. They sorta leaned into almost a parody of what a teenager today might think being an NFL player is like, it just got dumbed down big time and it was REALLY poorly written.
it was simple but good, we get as gamers get greedy
Not to mention you would always get drafted to the same exact team
My problem was my player always glitched out and I had to start everything over. Happend 3 times and I was done.

IMO The first longshot was the only well written story in any sports videogame i've played. Maybe it wasn't even that great, it was just surprising that a madden game made a half decent story. Glad madden and 2k are bringing back the old school career modes, way more fun
I still want more customizable options when creating players. Like the ability to add different hair styles and facial hair instead of just the basic faces they give us. Also the ability to add tattoos

ik they aren’t but it’d be dope asf if their were different animation packages for players, like how u can pick a qb’s throw animation type u should be able to pick tackle, run, qb stance, catching, pass block, run block, ect. it would go a long way in adding variation onto the field and personality to the players.
MLB THE SHOW has that feature

Whenever NCAA comes back out, I hope they will reintroduce and reintegrate Road to Glory mode with the ability to have your player get drafted in Madden.

i would like to be mad bc 2k has this but also football is a 53 man roster compared to 15 so it isnt horrible (but id love to see it lmao)

@@tdup191the other day it finally dawned on me why they haven’t done it it’s because all those players for the most part are in ultimate team, and even though ultimate team would still have a lot of players because it’s addicting and a lot of people like it. It would draw some attention and money away if they had a mode where you could use all these guys against each other for free and since EA is one of the most money hungry companies that’s why we won’t ever get it again sadly.

Heard absolutely nothing that convinces me this will be a better game.
1) No one ever cared about The Yard. It felt pointless in a game where you could just play a regular game with full squads and pads.
2 & 3) Face of The Franchise having a story was never the problem. The problem was that the story was absolutely terrible. Not only that, but it led directly to technical issues, like in ‘22 where you couldn’t accelerate, or in ‘23 where doing anything off field that’s not practice straight up resets your save to the beginning of your career. Of course they’d just take it out altogether instead of making it make sense
4) They do this every year. Game never actually looks like that, and I’d bet any amount of money that there will still be terrible player models
5) It’s a “wrap tackle” now? Wow revolutionary! Let’s see if they’ve addressed the horrible angles that defensive ai players take to make the tackles in the first place
I actually enjoy the story mode aspect of the sports games.. even though it's campy and cheesey, it gives you something to progress toward other just wins and loses

what really pisses me off about the player models is that everyone wears the same length knee pads. some guys wear them short and some guys wear them long. seeing guys wearing king knee pads in game who you know wears short irl is aggravating
They need to add the historical teams
a lot things they don’t have in the game should’ve been in the game years ago they should let 2k make football games it’ll be way better

This does not matter. If EA is making the game, I don't want it.
The madden 24 o line and d line look much better compared to 23. But the qbs, wrs, tight ends were good last year and this year its okay
For franchise we still need a few big things: 1. Simple add but we need to know the weather and attendance of each game, why not show this at the intro of the game, used be part of the presentation. If a team is losing a lot of games their attendance should go down and vice versa with winning. 2. Improved pro bowl tracking, right now it shows who made the pro bowl but no teams are listed, and the info is hard to find after that week is over. 3. Hall of fame. We need better tracking for annual HOF classes, we should see who made it year to year, and we should have the same 5 year waiting period that we do in real life, currently a player can go in immediately after they retire. Just some thoughts, but appreciate the upgrades this year.
Apparently the NFL asked EA to take out the fans leaving when teams are losing, and some teams not having full attendance because they felt it made the NFL and teams look bad.
I hope they will improve MUT so that your binder will show you which cards cannot be sold or added to sets, etc. without having to select the card.

Ive said it before and dont care what people think. Sports games do not need story modes. Its always been a waste of resources
The only thing I wish they add into the tackling is the dog piles like on goal line qb sneaks or just running up the middle in general
The Longshot was my mode of FOTF and felt like you were watching a movie or tv show and it really gave it that feel to it. And like I think it was neat that they got the a few actors from This Is Us and Friday Night Lights in both years of The Longshot
The player models are a step back for me. I use created players and drafts mostly and I liked when we had the big Primetime/Dickerson shoulder pads and sleeves. Dickerson's goggles should be added also. I can see changing for better gameplay but I prefer variety AND these things are a part of the league's history.

Superstar mode was my fave. also, Something i liked that i feel they should add back is Stats in franchise mode, Longest recieving td, Most rushing yards in a game etc. It would be like a cut scene on the field when you broke a record. Also the player coming out of retirement in franchise mode.

I really wish that had actual scans of these players we watch and cheer for. The field is the second they use have way better intros example ( madden 12 )it was enjoyable game hack then
I never truly hated the story modes with cut scenes, I just wish there were a variety of other stories that you can choose from
Player models was great for every player that wasn’t an inside offensive lineman or inside defensive lineman
Yeah the biggest guys on the field just had the shoulders of a 13 year old
The yard was fun when it didn’t have specific roles the first year was fun because you could customize your character however you wanted you could literally be a 300+ 6’6 lineman being QB/WR/TE/DB/LB or you could even be a short ass character making plays at any position
The Yard on Madden 22 was EXCELLENT...
Bring back retired players turning into head coaches!!

Would be neat to have different field design options for each team. Example: Bengals white uniforms and white field design or Chiefs Arrowhead Stadium Anniversary Design.
on 23 , sometimes if u tried to conservative tackles, u would just stop and not make the tackle
One thing I ways thought was missing from Madden was historic teams. I always like how in NBA2k you can be the the 90's Bulls with Jordan and play against today's teams. What if they had historic teams where the 85 Brears can play the Steelers teams of the 70's. Or what if you can trade those players into your teams (I would love to play with Barry Sanders or relive the Jerry Rice vs Deion sanders days) I think thay will bring a while new element and fun into the game thats currently missing...just my thought

Three years later 2k still hasn't come so EA scrapped it
EA can be some petty whenever they feel a competition threat
I wish they would let you customize divisions and your schedule for next season and bring the real coach coordinators and dynamic attendance create a new team and edit coaches in owner mode and add new rules like nba. 2k does
I don’t mind cutscenes in superstar mode but FotF had them for things I didn’t care about like “do you go to a charity event or a private workout with a team”. Give me cutscenes for things that regular draft prospects go through, like the combine and interviews (the interview part sucks in M24 though sadly). I feel like Madden tried to do these scenarios like your player is the most hyped prospect ever and it really takes away the immersion for me

From what I've seen so far... The players look ALOT better in Madden 24 than they do in Madden 23 ...

I mean honestly I don't mind the story mode in Madden or 2K but I'd prefer if they did interviews after a game or live appearancecs. Idk maybe that's jus me 🤷🏾♂️

I really hope they do more with Superstar KO, I really like the game with friends but it’s always been super buggy and laggy no matter when I played on my one S or series X, I think if they just fixed the bugs and updated it more it could be super fun for more people
In the Franchise mode, the maximum defensive Interception yards in a season is 511. They shouldn't have any maximum in INT yards in a season.
They need to do classic teams on madden play now like 2k does
What button is conservative tackle? I miss the times when you press one button to tackle or just the hit stick. Needs ro be simple.
Madden is always taking something out, like draft board, for example. Madd 15, you could add your face as the owner,
and it has not been in the game since. Madden 22. You could no longer add your name as the owner. So aggravating.
How can you not like the story mode version of a sports game that’s what made it exciting & keeps you entertained remove the best part about the game how dum
used to love madden but haven’t played it in years, they remove things and add things back with a different name every year
Hopefully in the career mode we don’t see guys who are under contract get randomly traded or on a random team the next season. I literally stopped playing Madden 23 after I saw that bs on multiple fof players

They need to add wingspan with the players. It’s glaring as hell when you see players who have longer arms irl in the game have the default wingspans in game.

FoF was so disappointing. Everytime I got a few games into a season my game glitched and I had to start all over! Next gen too.

On PC, the franchise mode playbooks are limited to teams. I want hired coach to have an option to assign Spread and West coast Play books on offense. Ability to assign 46 on defense.
The new system looks realistic tho the bending of the cleats and everything I just think u gotta get used to it I see the improvement tho

Can they add madden moments back where you can play a game with a specific moment it was so unique and if you complete a certain amount you get ultimate packs

Out of the 4 maddens it was in, the only FOTF I liked was Madden 21. Madden 20 barely did anything, Madden 22 completely flopped in my opinion, and madden 23… I mean it was a different storyline but I just kinda like the getting drafted storyline better. The reason I liked madden 21 was 2 things 1. I liked that we started in high school and the Tommy storylines were pretty interesting 2. It had a choice for any random team to pick you (the other two that had a draft, there was always like 2 or 3 set teams that you always got drafted by and it was so annoying)

Superstar mode should ditch all cut scenes and just have more realistic dynamic things happen to you in season. Madden's franchise and superstar modes have been an absolute joke for like a decade now. Like what will it take to just get some semi decent stat sims and dynamic events?

In my fantasy dream madden was an actual football game. Right now we don’t have different commentators or themes. Ik that takes time and money to get the licenses but how long is too long. The London Games is a stretch but it’s not like EA is unable to have those things. Gameplay is the foucus and it should be but at what point do we need to update the visuals and actually make every game played feel different
Edit: I know it takes a lot of money and it has restrictions to use those things but that’s just my fantasy
They need to fix the hit stick it's completely useless now
They need to do a better job of allowing you to edit player names without saying it had too many numerics or considered "vulgar". For example if Fletcher Cox retires in franchise mode & you want to edit him in a draft class, they consider the name Cox as offensive, same with Eric Dickerson. I understand if someone is trying to enter a flat out curse word, but not when there are legitimate last names like Cox or Dickerson.
It'd also be cool to see retired players in franchise mode to come back as coaches similar to NBA 2K & the Madden games for PS2

You’re just wrong about not wanting a story in a mycareer mode, that’s part of the reasons I play all of those modes in every sport’s game… actually makes you care about your player
Rosters are final on what date before release . Ex Kwon Alexander signed with Steelers will ge be on there roster
Madden needs to integrate to the old players better too. I like how all the legends & old teams are accessible & easy to play with in any mode on 2K. We shouldn’t have to download man made legends rosters.
Bring back the secret teams in Madden 2003. Only the OGs know that’s the best Madden 💪🏽💪🏽

i feel like FotF is still good. i can see why a lot of people might not like it that much but i think they should just make it more fleshed out rather than getting rid of it
If Madden still cared abt their product and customers they would have given us a Hard Knocks type of story mode by now. But that’s too much work for EA i guess. Just like in UFC 4, the UFC has had TUF ever since i was in diapers and they still haven’t thought to give us our own TUF story mode. It’s not like that would be a bad idea for new fresh game modes
Face of The Franchise was good 1 time and that was in 21 because it let you play a career start to finish
Still see the helmet texture glitch where certain teams helmets air holes are covered by helmet texture

We need the College All-Star game where you can play with the incoming draft class on Madden 07-08 on the PS2
6:27 They need to have at least 4 more body types. There are players who usually are in-between body types.
Wonder if superstar mode will be on PC or if it will be face of the franchise
