    I think you hit the nail . On the head. I've watched a lot of videos. I can fry excellent fried chicken and I think they are wasting a lot of seasoning on fried anything that they do.

    My American grandmother is from the South. She lightly coated her chicken with mustard, then seasoned it with Lawry's, garlic/onion powder and black pepper. Sometimes she used McCormick's Season All. Prior to that she washed the chicken with lemon and water.

    I think what I love most about watching your videos is you dont have all this fancy cookware just basic stuff like what I already have in my kitchen. Deep frying is just a big pot that most folks have. I got my deep fryer yall!! and most important your recipes are the business...my family was really pleased with thanksgiving. .I just followed all your recipes...my sons was laughing at first but then when they tasted that good food they understood why I had my tablet on the kitchdn table following you word for word...thanks bruh

    I use to work at KFC as a child and they double coated the extra crispy & cooked the original in a pressure cooker. This is an excellent video for cooking chicken at home. The main three things I took away from this video is to marinade overnight or at least 8hrs. Second is to let the flour apply to the chicken for 15min before frying. Third is to deep fry and I use a cover for my pot. I didn't mention the importance of cleaning b/c any cook should already know that.

    Howdy, folks! Idc about his nails, how his kitchen looks, or anything else! All I care about is a better method to cleaning, seasoning and frying chicken than one I've used for years. He has a better method and I enjoy watching his videos. Don't get me misconstrued, I don't like long nails on any male! That's a turnoff to me! Besides, we are not eating from his table, we're not eating from his kitchen, we are eating from our own kitchen, etc! I'm just make sure that my nails and my hands and my my kitchen are ALL clean! I don't have time to worry about someone else's! The thorough explanation and full detail of how to prep and cook the chicken is very well needed because in a few of his videos, he said there are some people who are "slow". There are a lot of challenged people in the world who need that thorough explanation as to why the video is so lengthy. I'm far from challenged or slow but I'm also detailed and thorough like he is with a lot of things, enough to keep a person interested and not bored. That is all he is doing in his videos is trying to keep you interested and entertained. He does crack me up the way he says "oyu" instead of oil. Lmbo. Folks say I have an accent but I still can pronounce my words. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion so unfortunately there will be negative feedback, regardless to what is being displayed. This is no different than Facebook. it is still social media. So, if he has a Facebook page and have added people or it's just a regular fan page, imagine all the positive, and negative comments he has on there as well. I'm just saying! He has so many subscribers well close to 40,000 so seriously you think that is going to stop him from making his videos? I don't think he is the least bit fazed at all! Nah, I don't think so!😒

      Angela Norwood thank you, people who tend to find flaws normally are very jacked up themselves, l have a cousin who don't allow her kids to play on mall toys, but house nasty as all get out...Yes its his nails, I will admit a little nasty or gross to me but wtf do I care, I'm cooking in my kitchen and I surely will eat from his...stop it

    • @ThouOLORDartashield
      @ThouOLORDartashield 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Girl, I know right? I am no saint either but Lord knows I don't care nothing about his nails even though that is a big turnoff to me for any male but his cooking is going on.

    • @ThouOLORDartashield
      @ThouOLORDartashield 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      And oh yeah I can't do it my house being nasty from my bedroom to my bathroom and my kitchen area because I have to cook food. I don't even like cooking food if I have a dirty bowl or spoon in the sink. Everything has to be washed. Even the countertops and the stove have to be wiped down and garbage thrown away. I try to clean as I go unless I have to soak something in the dishwater. I stay in public housing and I have no excuse because the garbage chute is right down the hall from my apartment.

    Fried Chicken is such a staple of good old fashioned home cooking and it brings up so many good memories...and fierce debates over what is the best way to do it! I love watching everyone's interpretation of the way they like to do it...from the different spices, oils, cooking methods. I have my favorite method (simple old fashioned pan fried in a hellishly hot cast iron skillet seasoned with salt and pepper only) but love to experiment too. Thanks for posting your favorite way!

    I happen to know someone who works for a restaurant. He told me their fried chicken had spices in their flour. In other words, it is a good idea to add spices to the chicken before cooking, but I think it would help to add spices to the flour mixture before frying.

      It takes longer to do it overnight, etc. They will be absorbed into the chicken if he pokes holes into it. We did stuff like that to tenderize round steak when I was growing up. I usually add to the flour...I use corn flake crumbs 1/2 and 1/2. I plan to put the chicken in the marinate, and it sounds like a good idea. I hate to waste all that marinade that's left. I bet you can freeze it to use later. I may try that too.

    Before I do anything I soak my chicken in buttermilk over night. Buttermilk breaks down the tendons making for juicier and favorable chicken. I also mix my spices together in one container then sprinkle over the chicken for even distribution. Marinate again for a couple hours in the seasoning. I also fry my chicken in peanut oil..there is something about peanut oil that adds to flavor.

    It just amazes me how many people criticize your steps. It is ok to offer critical advice but not with so much negativity.

    Sooooooo delicious. Last night I began the process for this chicken recipe. (6 whole wings) the vinegar & salt soak made a huge difference in texture and taste. Pbj your preparation awarded me with the most flavorful crispiest golden fried chicken ever. My neighbor joined me for lunch and sang praises of like from the first crisp bite to the last, and then some. Lol...Lol...Lol...thanks for sharing your time and skill. I will now try other recipes from your channel.

    that solution it soaks in also helps keep the moisture in the meat, so when fried it doesn't dry out!.. it'll be crispy on the outside, and juicy in the inside!... great recipe, Philly boy!.. You Rock!.... we season our meat like that in Belize!..

    TIP.............The vinegar, water and salt solution, allows the spices to penetrate with some time in the fridge.
    Important step, don't forget it!

    This chicken probably taste good, but I really hate when people say there chicken/food is the best. Food is all about what your taste buds prefer. This is only one of many ways to cook fry chicken. This gentleman has some really good tips but please don't think this is the only/best way to cook fried chicken. This guy is very generous to share his recipe. I would never share my recipe, but I will cook it for ya...lol
    His recipe probably does taste pretty good...

    I under-season the marinade just a bit and then season the flour as well to bring it to that sweet spot. You want flavor at all levels.

    Yum! I bet this was so Good! And I love how you washed your chicken. The only thing I would change is the black pepper, pay the extra dollar and buy black pepper in a grinder it is like night and day. Pre ground black pepper is tasteless cardboard but the fresh, man o man. Once you have it you'll never cook with that again. You can find them in the spice isle at most grocery stores.
