If you ever pass through Wichita Falls again, you are welcome to overnight in our parking lot at Kiowa Casino just over the TX/OK border in Devol, OK! :D
That's the beautiful thing about being in your late 30's, you just do what you feel like and don't worry if someone says something. Eric's like, can we film with our phone? Don't know, don't care. What are they gonna do, fight me?
Your candid storytelling in 'Our First Time RV Camping in a Casino PARKING LOT!' is deeply engaging. Despite challenges, your honesty and resilience shine through, making your vlog both relatable and inspiring. Your authenticity is truly commendable. And I am Floating Village Life
Allison your personality is intoxicating ❤ I have been rewatching all the older videos to stay inspired and stick to my goals of getting out of my every day routine. A lot of the help has been watching your positive attitude even when you felt completely defeated.
Hey you visited our home town! You got to experience the temperature swings first hand - it'll be 110 during the day and drop 40-50 degrees overnight, it's great. Glad you stopped by MSA Annex! Great spot!
Wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your channel. I love how real you are and admire the content and editing skills you have. I look forward to the adventures as you continue down the road.
I don’t know if you guys have a freezer on board, or space in said freezer, but you might want to get some ice packs that you could put under your back when you lay down in those hot places. You might want to put a thin towel over it but it really helps to cool you down. I went without a/c for awhile because mine broke and it’s expensive so I had to creative until I got a new one.
The year I graduated college (way back in 1976), my family embarked on a 4 week round-trip cross-country RV trip (starting and ending in Long Island, NY) in our 24' travel trailer that we towed with a neon green (w/faux wood panelling) Oldsmobile station wagon. I kid you not. It was something straight out of "National Lampoon's Vacation" and even had neon green and white shag carpeting on the deck created when we put down the third seat. Anyway, for the Las Vegas portion of the trip, we camped in the parking lot of the Hacienda Hotel and Casino's "RV Park". The hotel no longer exists but it was on The Strip not far from the airport. The "RV Park" was an asphalt parking lot with hookups, a club house, and pool. I have no idea how much it cost but it was legal and we had access to the Hotel and Casino. But I do remember how freaking HOT it was there - since it was the middle of July. Good thing we had hook-ups.
What amazing memories!!! That sounds exactly like what 70's RV dreams are made of...shag carpeting and wood paneling 😍 We wish there were more RV parks on the strip. It's such a cheaper way to do Vegas. Glad we visited when it was a bit cooler...we can only imagine how brutal it must have been in July 😅
You should have battery operated fans on hand. We still have ours in storage till my husband gets the green light to hit the road. We moved to Florida from NY. The heat just getting used to.
OMG! I saw the RV drive in and my first thought was that looks like clementine! I saw Eric on the floor and thought he looks familiar. It was actually you guys!! An opportunity missed. I hope you really a good time in my Tribe’s Casinos.
You two would love Laughlin NV. Super chill little casino town on the Colorado river just south of Lake Mojave. Bonus is the Riverside casino has free parking for RVs and plenty of cheap rooms in case you want a ac and bed for the night
Hi there, I would suggest instead of wasting money at casinos and their buffets and buying coffees to save your money and buy a generator a dual fuel generator that is. I think you'll be glad you did. Good luck
Can’t wait to see your Phoenix videos! It’s so hot here right now I don’t even have any suggestions on things to do. Maybe try Salt River Tubing. It’s a blast. Canyon Lake is gorgeous. You’re better off heading straight to Sedona. It’s so beautiful there.
Hey! I'm a fellow Phoenix-born baby, too! I don't remember anything about it so not helpful with the recommendations. I hope you guys have fun and can keep the early morning driving going. It's so stupid hot right now. Stay hydrated and keep us posted on all the good coffee. We're also crossing our fingers for a Nikita and Matt reunion in LA...
We have 2022 GRECH Strada ION meaning all battery. Air conditioning is not problem, plus a magnetic type stove so not much heat. Super quiet, with endless hot water and so we splurged our budget and then some thinking of the future. No regrets. Oh and 3.5 turbo Mercedes chassis. So it’s really awesome and the guys at GRECH have been super to answer a lot of questions. The van is class “B” with goodies and now 2 years later we feel a little guilty for going overboard but it’s a true comfort…..ah. I don’t work nor am I connected to them in anyway. So for us we’d buy again tomorrow in a heartbeat. Good luck…like your rig too btw
I used to live in Phoenix years ago. The weather was agreeable year-round with the exception of August. But now with rapidly changing climate, It's hotter earlier and longer. I will be interested to see Phoenix - through you - it's grown and changed no doubt. You might try going up to the Grand Canyon where it's usually 10 degrees cooler and lots of pine for shade.
Once again, entertained us with your trials. You certainly put yourselves through a lot! Very testing! Yet you put on a good smile through it all! We’ve also experienced heat in a caravan here in Australia on our travels in the summer. Not fun after a day’s drive when the van feels like an oven! Hope you find some relief in Phoenix! Love you guys! Better luck next time too!
Eric and Alison...TIP ....To COOL your camper quickly open all windows and doors and just drive SLOWLY a few big circles in the parking lot... that will allow the hot air to flow out and the cool air to flow in.
I just spent this past week in Las Vegas. 110F in the early afternoon! It was still in the 90s by the evening! Luckily I slept in a luxury hotel though. An RV would have been unbearable. So I salute your toughness!
Oh ya...if we're learning anything from this trip, it's to embrace the suck and really appreciate moments of cool and comfort. 😆 Hopefully you had a great time in Vegas!
Welcome to our neck of the woods, hope you continue to have fun in Arizona, didn't know you were a Phoenix native. We've been here since 1996 and love it despite the brutal summers, having AC certainly helps. Cannot wait for the upcoming video on Phoenix and seeing what kind of cool spots you end up highlighting 😎
Hello Allison and Eric. Looked like fun finding ways to cope. I was in Tucson two months earlier the year I was there. It was already hot, but preceded snow in Butte Montana a week or so later. We visited a casino in Las Vegas. I put $100 aside for the night and was up on cards for a while, until a new dealer suddenly started winning all the time. Time to jump to roulette.
I assume you are aware of heat rises? Why close the roof vent and cover it? You would think that opening a side window to allow hot air to escape at the highest point of the camper which is the roof vent?
Wonders of Wildlife Museum and Aquarium in Bass Pro Shops in Springfield Missouri is a fun place to hang out for a few days. We camped free in a parking lot there and ate many meals in the Bass Pro Shops restaurant (very reasonable prices) and went through the museums. You might try it.
First time viewer, nice to find decent people doing the nomad thing that I don't immediately hate who don't pomp and brag... Keep it up! How FAR can you go?
You guys crack me up! Love the scene where you are attempting to use a mask to cover your eyes. 🤣Always fun to go back home. We did just that in our last video and there is a part 2 coming out this week. I look forward to seeing your home town in the next video! - Michelle
Your just a couple hours south of us in Phoenix... it doesnt cool down as much as you think at night - overnight lows (for us) have been in the upper 70's/almost 80. Do have fun in Tucson. If you have time, check out Barrio Brewing Co.
Not sure why you would want camp in the desert in the summer. Head west coast or the mountains. Heat like that woudl be awful for sleeping. Erik will have night terrors.
Did the Casino have a hotel? If so then that is probably why you got picked on by security. That would be like bringing your own food to a restaurant. We stayed at a casino hotel just outside Albuquerque even though they had an RV lot just next door. I had been fighting strong crosswinds all the way from Tucumcari and really needed the room.
You seem to have fallen in love with Texas. This was a good warmup (hahaha) for getting used to competing for the one shade tree in the entire parking lot - then having your car repainted white from the grackle crap.
we've been watching you forever and would have loved to have met up, really sad right now. Tucson since 2002 here. You missed some of the best tacos in the area across the street from the container village at Seis, and if you were in that area at night you could have walked the whole strip downtown
Love watching you two. I was wondering where you got your windshield cover. We have a 87 class c Chevy Honey rv. We can’t seem to find one for the year of our rv. Help!
Maybe this will help for the next time your fan doesn't work. From what I've read, there is a self-resetting fuse that might be tripped causing the beeping on your fan. To reset the fan fuse, pull the supply fuse in the fuse box and reinsert. This will reset the fan's fuse. Or you can disconnect your battery and reconnect. That is some brutal heat to deal with. Take care.
If you guys ever want to head into Canada, I think you can just park and sleep there. No permit needed in most casinos, but you got to at least eat dinner. Unless things change. I think Walmart's are still free to park overnight. mini portable AC needed :)
@AellaMaude-oy9qn I live in Ontario, I once practically lived in a casino for 3 years till they got rid of the poker pit. If I google "casinos in Ontario with free RV parking" every single casino I know off shows up.
@AellaMaude-oy9qn I am from Ontario Canada and lived well off playing poker for many years, most casinos sept Niagara have free parking and RV sections and no permit needed. Niagara Falls is the only place you got to pay to park. but there's like 30 other casinos in Ontario. I played at 1000island, but they decided one day to close the poker tables for good :( other places are too far for me to get too, and my hometown just opened a new Casino but again no poker. I lost my license in the wild poker days, or I would have just gone some other place when they closed the poker room, I kind of did but 100$ for a room and $120 for a train, plus you now pay $35 every 30min to the dealer just to play, it's not worth it now, for now.
@AellaMaude-oy9qn I believe I said most, witch is true. Hey you are in my home state! We live in Sierra Vista and visit Tucson often! Welcome to Arizona! Good Luck with the heat…we are about 10 degrees “cooler”! 😊❤
I would not be able to sleep if it was that warm up and I didn't have a freezer blowing at cold air on me LOL and yes The House Always Wins unfortunately
I just passed the Lutsen mountains in Minnesota, while doing the circle tour a detour from my Trans-Canada highway road trip. Anyway there was a pin on my Google maps for the Alpine slide and I just remembered how I got that pin that was from you guys when you were up here however it is closed today so I will not be doing it. But I wanted to say thank you for making these videos so I can pin cool places!
That's pretty good that it dropped down temperature wise! When I visited an aunt/uncle 2 years ago...July summers in Tucson went up to 116 Fahrenheit...I thought my heart was going to stop...and my son was 5 so he had me carry him because it was too hot for him.... I dont know how my husband was able to even stand it, but I just said maybe because he grew up in NV. He thrives in heat while my son and I dying in the heat!
Ya, the heat is no joke out there. Glad nothing bad actually happened...but it definitely takes your breath away when you're not used to that kind of heat. Hopefully you and your son can avoid triple digit temperatures this summer 😅
You guys seriously need a generator. We have three rooftop air conditioners on the roof of our class A and they kept us cool for a week in July in Key West. We run our generator going down the road so the coach can stay cool. The dash AC just isn't strong enough.
I was in Bullhead City Arizona approximately 15 or so years ago we stayed in a motel right next to casino and went to the delicious Buffet of course. Outside that day it was 122° I really could not tell the difference between say 100° versus 122° 🤔
Free Camping My House In Michigan !!!! Plus i have 5 bedrooms 3 bath so your always Welcome ❤. Love Ya'll with all my heart . Your Videos R Always so much fun , exciting, inspiring, emotional and best of all Amazing. God Bless U . Much Love Coming From Michigan, Tam ❤❤
What did you think was going to happen. Outside of the fact that usually a 100 plus degrees you're on black assfault which only increases the Heat temperature
If you ever pass through Wichita Falls again, you are welcome to overnight in our parking lot at Kiowa Casino just over the TX/OK border in Devol, OK! :D
Thank you for offering them some Oklahoma hospitality!
I'll stop by❤ I love staying at casinos
I'm from this area too. The Comanche casino just down the road has electric hook ups.
Awesome! Thanks for the tip and invitation!
@cheriehaight6918 lawton native hmmm didnt know about the electrical hookups at casino very nice.
The way I would’ve been driving Ruby back and forth across the parking lot from Clem to the casino in that heat lol
That's the beautiful thing about being in your late 30's, you just do what you feel like and don't worry if someone says something. Eric's like, can we film with our phone? Don't know, don't care. What are they gonna do, fight me?
You seem to always go to the hot places when they’re the hottest, and the cold places when they’re the coldest
I was thinking the same!
What can we say...we like experiencing the extremes. It makes you really appreciate a breezy, mid-70s day and heating/air conditioning 😆
puts the permit on the dashboard
immediately covers the windshield
Beat me to it. :)
Lol exactly 😂
Lol right, that was my first thought also.
🤣🤣 it was too dang hot not to put the cover on...we figured we'd already made quite the impression with security so they knew we were registered 😆
5:02 You can only fight heat "in front" of the windows. Never "after" the windows.
It just wouldn't be the same if something didn't go wrong with Clementine. Thanks for not disappointing, you guys! 😜

Take ruby to edge of the world if you go north to flagstaff. Best views camping on the cliffs overlooking Sedona

Yikes...ya, there's nothing quite as frustrating as being done with your drive for the day, only to be baked alive while you try to relax 🥵🤪

Casino Del Sol is about 15 mins west of Desert Diamond and has full hook ups. Crazy trying to dry camp in Tucson June thru August. 😂😂😂😂😂😂

We visited a casino in Las Vegas. I put $100 aside for the night and was up on cards for a while, until a new dealer suddenly started winning all the time. Time to jump to roulette.
And always have a battery power fan for daytime or nighttime use
Slight chance of rain starting Thursday in Phoenix through the weekend
Love y'all. Will miss you when you stop. Y'all are awesome! Much love & peace. ❤✌️
Thanks guys, I enjoyed this video very much.
You guys are cool. Happy Travels!
That dinner looked amazing. It made me hungry and I just ate dinner an hour ago. 😋
I assume you are aware of heat rises? Why close the roof vent and cover it? You would think that opening a side window to allow hot air to escape at the highest point of the camper which is the roof vent?
We have no AC... remember that Generator you took out serveal years ago?? 😂
Also Reflectix works great in windows for keeping light and heat out
Thank you for sharing this with me. I just loved it.

Welcome! It's a fun community here.
I have done this always park next to a another camper if you can
Thanks for the video 👍🏻

So funny, life in the heat without a fan
Ya all are crazy! No way would I camp without A/C!!!
You're going to Phoenix? Out of the frying pan and into the fire! LOL Hope you can stay cool!
Buy a 3500 watt predator generator from harbor freight store. It will run your generator but be sure you get the inverter type generator
I mean you ac
Not sure why you would want camp in the desert in the summer. Head west coast or the mountains. Heat like that woudl be awful for sleeping. Erik will have night terrors.
Why not have a backup generator to run AC? They are pretty small and effective
I live near Tucson and I’m not even there in this heat. Camping up in the mountains where it’s 75 degrees
Welcome to Arizona. Use dark sheets to cover up windows and get some sunshades. I live in Phx!
The first of May we stayed at a casino in N. CA. I hit a slot for $960.00 and had $7.00 played at the time. Not a bad start to a 6 month trip.
Dang! Wish we'd had your luck during our stay!
I seem to recall you stayed overnight at a Las Vegas casino.
9:47 Go get a room inside the casino!!! I love you all, but you all don’t plan very well sometimes
4:11 it’s not even summer. Come back in July/August.
Oh boy...no thank you. 🥵 Best of luck with that heat!
I live in Tucson… the overnight low 70’s don’t happen until close to 4am. 😁
Try Phantom Fox in Mesa, AZ! Amazing craft beer and plenty of IPAs!
Go hike up S Mountain in Sunnyslope / Phoenix area. You can't miss it it is a big S.
Hot weather is terrible in a class c!!
I can't believe you guys dont have 12 fans, or battery operated fans, or a little solar generator!!!!
You seem to have fallen in love with Texas. This was a good warmup (hahaha) for getting used to competing for the one shade tree in the entire parking lot - then having your car repainted white from the grackle crap.

I live in Tucson. It hasn't been cooling down to the high 70s until about 4 a.m. Best of luck!
Fun times. Thanks for sharing
It is even hotter in Phoenix!
Love watching you two. I was wondering where you got your windshield cover. We have a 87 class c Chevy Honey rv. We can’t seem to find one for the year of our rv. Help!
We ordered ours on Amazon, but I believe Camping World and etrailer also have them. We just searched for "RV windshield cover". Hope that helps!
Maybe this will help for the next time your fan doesn't work. From what I've read, there is a self-resetting fuse that might be tripped causing the beeping on your fan. You guys need to purchase a ryobi 18v battery operated fan. We always take at least 1 camping incase the ac goes caput.
If you guys ever want to head into Canada, I think you can just park and sleep there. No permit needed in most casinos, but you got to at least eat dinner. Unless things change. I think Walmart's are still free to park overnight. mini portable AC needed :)

So what ended up being the overheating issue?
Covering the windshield hides the permit. How do they know you have one?
Hey you are in my home state! We live in Sierra Vista and visit Tucson often! Welcome to Arizona! Good Luck with the heat…we are about 10 degrees “cooler”! 😊❤
Just curious, since you blocked your windshield, how are the security going to see your pass.
Low 70s? Not in Arizona. Lol. Lived in Gilbert for two years. It never cooled down at night.
4:23 you didn't need a permit with that sun shade up. They won't see it anyway..... Ticket ?????
I would not be able to sleep if it was that warm up and I didn't have a freezer blowing at cold air on me LOL and yes The House Always Wins unfortunately
I just passed the Lutsen mountains in Minnesota, while doing the circle tour a detour from my Trans-Canada highway road trip. Anyway there was a pin on my Google maps for the Alpine slide and I just remembered how I got that pin that was from you guys when you were up here however it is closed today so I will not be doing it. But I wanted to say thank you for making these videos so I can pin cool places!
You need a generator and small fans.
Wichita Falls has a great city park with EW.
Didn't you stay at the casino in Las Vegas?
Yes, but that was a full-on RV park with hookups. This one was just a free parking lot stay...well, until we went inside and lost all our money 😅
if you ever do the rv thing again, get a LP generator.
Very nice video 📹 👍 👌 👏 😀. See you on the next one adventurers 😊😊😊❤❤❤.
oh cool, from the Phoenix area! you better find a place to hook that RV up, it's freaking hot up here. iI live in Mesa, Az
Wow what a heat 🥵 hope it cool down for you 🙏🤞. Safe Travels 🥰
I re-watched the video but you didn’t say anything about the overheating issue. What is going on with it?
I live in Phoenix Az and Rvs usually stay at Walmart parking lots for free
That was a hot video! 🔥 😊
OMG! This gave us flashbacks to sleeping in our RV in Valley of Fire a few weeks back! Ended up on the sofa too - so hot!!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Dang, sorry you know just how miserable RV life in the summer can be...but hopefully the views and adventures made up for it!
You poor things. Here in Tucson there’s nothing cooler than 200 degrees outside past May. Come back in November. It’s much nicer.
Awesome videos guys❤
My favourite band is from Tucson ,Az.
Calexico 🥳
You guys seriously need a generator. We have three rooftop air conditioners on the roof of our class A and they kept us cool for a week in July in Key West. We run our generator going down the road so the coach can stay cool. The dash AC just isn't strong enough.
I was in Bullhead City Arizona approximately 15 or so years ago we stayed in a motel right next to casino and went to the delicious Buffet of course. Outside that day it was 122° I really could not tell the difference between say 100° versus 122° 🤔
Was in Bullhead City back in the 90s and our rental car was overheating when we ran the a/c hahaha it was very hot.
Reset your electrical system and your fan will stop beeping. This happens to us occasionally.
Don't worry, it's that hot in chicago this week.
Oh that's sounds incredibly miserable. I hope Phoenix treated you better and you will soon be home.❤

What did you think was going to happen. Outside of the fact that usually a 100 plus degrees you're on black assfault which only increases the Heat temperature
