Thank you so much for this video. I am 47 years old and never like makeup, but I like the idea makeup no makeup . I have dry skin, even that I live in Miami Beach hot and humid. I will definitely try Jones Road Beauty. I already gave you a like 👍🏼 and subscribed to your Chanel. You look very fun and real. Also , I like the little chatting that you have with your helper in the background. 👏🏻👏🏻😘♥️🙋🏻♀️🙏🏻
Hi your skin looks amazing i did see her article and have been wondering about the Jones Road miracle balm thing you have made me now thing about purchasing it. I like that you are so honest and real thank you Happy Easter
A new convert to Miracle Balm. Miami Beach is gorgeous. My preferred application (after breaking the seal) is actually using the Jones Road Everything Brush. I just stamp the brush lightly into the balm and then apply in a similar way to the cheeks. Application is much better this way than with fingers and the colour of the balm is more noticeable too. I have 3 now: Miami Beach, Sunkissed and Magic Hour. Love them all! I’m 52 too and the Miracle Balm just really suits my dry skin so well. Great video thanks. I’m not taken with AB cream - I’ve previously been sucked in and bought a whole bottle and used nothing else but the cream, as per the brand instructions. It did nada for my skin. In fact I thought my skin looked worse after 6 weeks - having not used my daily Dermalogica Vit C serum and Drunk Elephant Powerpeptide serum. Needless to say I did not repurchase. The AB Hair oil however is fantastic and I use it daily - a daily hairwasher like you too! It’s lasted 18 months so far and still a bit left in the bottle so it’s been good value for money.
Oh that's so interesting! Ok, firstly I need the brush, so I'll pick that up on my next order. As for AB The Rich Cream, I refused to give up my other products for that exact reason. I still used vit C, serums, mists ,etc and I only use at night (too expensive for twice a day) and I'm hooked. But whatever works, right? The hair oil I might have to look into. You must use a tiny amount if it's last that long!! I'm a daily uesr of Olaplex No 7 bond oil but I may have to splash out (or put on my Christmas list 😂)
@@SkinObsessedMary The AB hair oil is silicone-free. The Olaplex oil however has silicone in it. I really don't like silicone in hair products as it weighs my hair down and by the end of the day it looks greasy and limp. I just use 3-4 dropper drops of the AB oil and apply to the lower half of my hair after towel drying it. That's all that's need with my hair anyway, hence the bottle lasting so long - although the bottle size is quite generous. Skincare is so personal and TH-cam would be pretty boring if we all liked the same moisturiser I definitely recommend the Everything brush. Its brilliant.
So I used Sephora's 20% off sale as an excuse to try the AB rich cream. I also got the AB Soothing Cream to try, which I really like! I thus far have been using the soothing cream as the final layer in my day routine. Not sure which one I like better. Have you tried the soothing cream?
You know, I only use the Rich Cream at night, because it's too expensive to use twice a day (for me!). Because it's such hydrating formula, I'd go with a lighter sunscreen. I'd probably try one of my new favourites....IsnTree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel SPF 50+ PA++++ go.shopmy.us/p-1237400

@@SkinObsessedMary I'd love to see a Q&A too, and the man behind the camera. I bought Miami Beach & Bronze miracle balm, WTF in beige, conceler sticks in 6 (color correction), 7 & 9, eye shadow in linen and ash. Still playing with them, but I like them better than I thought. Going back to other make-up (Laura Geller) I feel like everything made my skin look older. Thank you for your reviews Mary.
Loved the highlight. Iv just bought Charlotte Tilbury mascara wow best mascara iv ever tried, I bought tye travel size to try but definitely will splash out on the full size x
Hello from a fellow Jones Road fan! Do you use the Rich Cream at night at the same time as your prescription retinoid? I have both, but I’m not sure how to layer them.
Yes I do use both! It's best if you do tretinoin as the first step but I'm actually doing it last these days. I stopped tretinoin for about 2 years and only just started back, so what I do is.... double cleanse, then do all my skincare (mist, eye products, serum and moisturiser) around 8pm. Then, I do the the tret about 2 hours later, right before bed. So I'm really buffering, to reduce potential sensitivities. Eventually I'll start using as first step, but I'm not there yet.
You are so right! I was testing some other products (haven't used it for almost an month) and just went back to it this week and my goodness, skin is singing. I'm just going to have the bite the bullet and make sure it's always on hand 😬
I read somewhere that if you have oily skin it pays off to use oily products, that way your skin learns that it doesn't need to produce so much oil in the first place and the sebum production calms down. I never tested this theory out on my skin. However, I have been using Uriage washing creme to wash my hair. This creme has Karitébutter + Meadowfoamoil and Sunfloweroil in it. And I am down to washing my hair only once a week instead of two, because my hair is just less greassy.
I haven't tried the Uriage but it looks right up my alley. I use New Wash which sounds like the same type of product. Is it actually designed for hair?
I am 41. I tested this theory when I was younger although I knew it is not recommended by Dermatologists and all I got was more oily skin, more congested skin more pimples. If you have true oily skin it's because genetically your skin is oily adding more oils on top of your skin does not send any messages to the glands which are deep in the skin. Medical grade ingredients like niacinamide, salycilic acid, azelaic acid have the potential to do that and that's why they are FDA approved they do more than sitting on top of your skin. For me azelaic acid is what reduces my oil production the most. My skin is still oily with it but less oily.
I love your channel and BB too! I would love if you could offer some alternatives to Bader - I know they won't be the same but I'd value your recs on lesser priced moisturizers. Scrubbing those sheets on my wavy/curly hair would cause mad frizz for sure. Have you tried dry shampoo? And thank you for being real and filming without your hair perfectly colored and done.
Thank you so much - you just made my day! Ok, here are other products I really love. They're not AB (in my eyes, nothing is), but they do amazing things for my skin.
