Okay I knew a *bit* about the drama on TikTok with this product but finally watched all the stuff AFTER filming. 😂 WOW! Glad I tried the WTF foundation in different ways because I do actually like it. Of course, I also like low-medium coverage foundation too!

You used a lot more WTF foundation than Bobbie Brown said to use. She said to use VERY little with a brush or hands. She has a video up demonstrating. It seems that the product should come with more detailed instructions. Thank you for trying new brands and introducing us to different things.

I like Bobbi Brown but yet again, the assumption is women my age always need balms and oils and giant sticks of moisturizer. I’m just sitting here waiting to give my money to the first makeup brand to realize that some older women have very oily skin and need good products that stick to oily, aging skin without causing breakouts.

Yes!! My skin seems like it gets more oily the older I get.
This video is the first one I've seen that the foundation hadn't separated and looked decent. In the others, the foundation has a half inch of oil floating around on top. That's way too much of a "glowing" look for me.

Both Jones Rd and Bobbi Brown range leave me scratching my head. Like is Bobbi Brown any good at makeup? (Skincare is not even a question). None of her products preform for me. Who wants to slather balms and essential oils on their face?? Yuk

The Jones Road beauty line literally gave me the confidence to leave my house. I’m 50, and I’ve been watching Jessica for years, since her decluttering days at her parents house. During the height of the pandemic, we lost the family business and my confidence was nonexistent. I also follow a very low-fat diet because I don’t have a gallbladder and my skin looked like it belonged to a significantly older woman. This line of cosmetics has been the ONLY line to make me look and feel attractive, and I usually do not ever feel attractive, that’s just my nature. Im reopening the business and I’m not going to scare anyone away with the condition of my skin, thanks to Jones Road.

I really appreciate that you gave the products a fair shot, i.e. read the info on the website and washed off the Hippy Stick when it didn't work out. This brand really speaks to me as a consumer (minimalist packaging, no makeup makeup) but I've felt like a lot of reviews on TH-cam have been a bit unfair, I mean they're not aimed at creating a full glam look. IDK, personally I really like this brand!!

I am 45 and have very oily skin. I love the Mirwxle Balm in "Flushed," my #2 pencil and the WTF foundation in porcelain. Like you, I felt it was a perfect shade match and makes me look like I am "naturally beautiful." However, the WTF doesn't have staying power for me. I only use it for event makeup when I only need a look to past a few hours. For all day I need something more durable and oily friendly. Too bad because the shade is spot on.

The products look lovely on your youger skin, Jess, though in my early 60's with dry skin I might be her "target audience"---but who knows? I'm going to pass on the whole line, I think. My skin is good and my face isn't too scary, so I achieve a no-makeup look by ... going without makeup. ;) Sunscreen, maybe a light dusting of powder on potentially sweat-prone areas, and lipbalm. Maybe I've just become more of a curmudgeon, but if I'm going to look pretty much bare-faced, I can do it for a lot less than Bobbie is charging. As for you, you look stunning in pretty much everything. Love your videos, love your reviews, and wishing you and your beautiful family all the best.

The line “the world doesn’t need more beauty products, it needs better beauty products” is so… odd? Idk the right word for it cuz it’s like the world doesn’t need more beauty products but here’s more beauty products, they’re just better 😂 is that not ridiculous. Especially when you realize Bobbi Brown sold her brand and made a new one. If the world needs better beauty products and not more, why not make those products within the Bobbi Brown brand?

Because she didn't own Bobbi Brown after I think 1995 - Estee Lauder owned the majority when she sold it, so anything she created under her own name thereafter was property of Estee Lauder, not BB herself. If she wanted to add something to the market, and wanted to make the money on it herself, she was better off waiting to leave EL in 2016, waiting on her non compete to end in 2020, and launching what she wanted to.

This whole line reminds me of glossier. It looks good if you already have nice skin without too much to cover, especially normal to dry skin. This line is probably good for that too with the balms and the light coverage. Not for me with my oily combo skin with patches of melasma and some redness to cover.

I so love your videos, personality, humor!!! :) - I am so excited if those pot eyeshadows are like the OG Bobbi Brown ones of decades past. They were so much better that the shadow sticks!!! have a big favor to ask if you would list the shades of the products you use in description box? We have similar skin tone, thanks!

Hi Jessica and ladies mentioning the L’Oréal whipped foundation? If you haven’t tried it, I highly recommend the Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Lift foundation. It comes in a jar and has a lovely creamy whipped consistency and SPF 15. I used it when I was younger, but now that I’m almost 55 and have more wrinkles and drier skin, I’ve started using it again and I LOVE it. They have a great primer too. It gives good coverage, doesn’t accentuate every line, and stays put, especially if set with powder.

Oops I guess it was Revlon…I used it and loved it. The EA foundation is the closest I’ve found and I do have combination skin.

They wouldn't have had to declare bankruptcy if they'd leave their damn product line alone! They have discontinued every amazing product or shade theyve ever had.

This was a great video, I just it to my sister as i was trying to explain the miracle balm-which I use everyday! Except I use "bronze" all over my face to tone down the redness and give myself glow and look just sunkissed. I will move to one shade lighter for winter. I adore this product because I use it under foundation, on top of foundation and alone. I do have combo skin that needs a fair amount of moisture but still want to look youthful. The foundation I pulled from my line up until winter but after watching you apply it, I may play a bit more this summer. I kept it (they do have a retuen policy if you are on the fence) because i felt like at the end of the day-my skin looked GOOD. Not full coverage makeup - and I am blotchy but somehow the miracle blam evens me out. Thanks for the review. I am on the fence about the pencils BUT because they travel so well and can fit in my purse, I purchased another one. I am happy with this brand!

I bought aquaphor on you recommendation! It by the brand Eucerin and here in the Netherlands they don’t market it as ‘Aquaphor’ as a stand alone brand. But I’m pretty sure it’s the same thing. I really like it!

This definitely seems to be a Grown Up Glossier. I enjoy balmy, moisturising products and yes, the ingredients seem to be good but my issue is that I see low-pigment products as kind of poor value for money.
For example, I could use a moisturising lipstick or even lip oil for a balmy cream blush. Same with the low pigment/sheer eyeshadows.

you're right, and I do that from time to time. but for an every day product, you would run out of the products you already have fairly quickly. so the value is same same imo :)

“I’m a genie” had me cracking up. Also, I really like that this brand seems geared toward very dry skin. I think while there are a bunch of options in makeup for people who are extremely oily, there really isn’t that much for those of us who are super dry. I have eczema prone skin and I’m actually really curious to try this line.

I use the hippie stick on the bottom of my feet. Even with dry skin it is too much for my face. I like the foundation but I do have to set it because it stays sticky all day and I don’t like that. I like the miracle balms also but I can’t wear them with the foundation, it is too dewy. I just look greasy. The pressed shadow in Patina is one of my favorites.

Yeah that moisturizer stick at the beginning may be one she’s thinking people will apply and do other things for a while before applying makeup. But the reality is not everyone has the time. Although it will be great in the winter months I’m sure. You’re probably right in thinking that the foundation on its own is moisturizing so probably didn’t need the stick. Thanks for doing this because I too had lots of questions about the new release

I live in south Alabama on the Gulf coast and today it's 94° with a heat index of 100. For us when we normally have a Gulf breeze this is a little hotter than normal. Yesterday was 100° and index was 109. This Thursday the high is supposed to be 104! It is truly stifling bc our humidity is unbearable....85-100%.

Completely unrelated: Just saw an ad from makeup brand Pür instructing how to get the "sunburned look".
To me, having had severe sunburns in my life, this is a godawful, terrible idea to promote. Why in the world would anybody want to look sunburned and why in the world would any beauty brand glorify such a thing? Utterly irresponsible.
I'm just a rando on the web, and only follow three BeautyTubers these days (you, Emily Noel, Zabrena), so maybe I'm behind on trends, but I'm utterly horrified that looking sunburned would be considered an "in" look.
Sorry for a ranty tangent, but dang...

people are gonna tan no matter what you do about it… i think it’s better to promote getting that look(which is why anyone tans anyways-the specific look) with makeup and things like self tanner etc than to actually have them go tan. You won’t be able to stop everyone from irresponsible sun exposure but like that’s an impossible task anyways

The miracle balm is definitely something to get use to. I love them I have three of them. They really give the skin a nice glow and just makes it look better. You are awesome love you ❤️❤️❤️
