Before the pandemic the best place for me to find puzzles was a local thrift shop. Value Village never seemed to have as good a selection. Now I can't physically go into thrift shops ☹️ but I bet there are more puzzles than ever to choose from because of all the puzzling people did during lockdowns. I don't remember having issues with missing pieces from used puzzles but just did a new-in-the-box puzzle that came without one piece. Bummer, because I really, really like the image and colors.
This was fun to watch - some great finds for sure! There are two goodwills in my area that always have a ton to choose from. My daughter and I love to go thrifting for puzzles and usually take a pile we’re finished with back to the store so we can justify getting more! 😂😊

Nice haul!! They are perfect for relaxing in front of the tv at night. I've already seen two of them on your IG account! Snoopy is perfect for December! I know what you mean by showing restraint. When I go to the local GWs here I will pick out the puzzles I want then walk around the store. Before I check out I look at the puzzles again and pull out the ones I know I wont do. Gives me that beat between that puzzle high and regret! 😄
That was a good haul and having some left over budget is even better. 👍 Some lovely puzzles there. The one you were trying to think of when showing the pencils one was Ravensburger's Floral Reflections. This was one of the puzzles at the World's competition in Spain. The Educa 1500 is called North American Landmarks. Looks like you will have a good choice of shops for further puzzle sprees! 😃

A very nice haul. I think you have some great finds. I have been getting a lot of my puzzles from a Boys and Girls thrift store near me. I've been lucky in having very few with missing pieces. The boxes are always taped so I don't look inside. Sometimes the previous owner will mark on the box if there are missing pieces.
I don't know how I missed this one. OMG I almost cried when I saw the Peanuts one, I would have bought that so fast! Great haul video.

I have been super lucky with thrifting and yes I've noticed a lot more people puzzling now.

If I donate a puzzle that’s missing a piece, I mark its place on the box. Yesterday I got four puzzles for $3 each at Goodwill.
