Some great swaps. I have the Galison Houseplant Jungle one and it was a delight to do. I passed it onto my mum and sister and they both loved it. I loved it so much they gave it back to me so I will definitely do it again.
I’ve bought Betterco since the very beginning. It’s one of my very favorite brands. Their images are amazing. You can get almost all their stuff on Amazon ... sometimes for really good prices.
What a wonderful collection you picked up from the puzzle swap. It's amazing what you can find when you go to a puzzle swap. The subtitles gave me an amusing moment when it came up with rabbitsburger instead of Ravensburger. That needlework one looks lovely but I can't get it in the UK. If I bought it from Amazon com it would cost me $33.40 or £28.09 which is expensive for a 500 piece jigsaw. Ah well I might get lucky and it will pop up on UK ebay from a UK seller. 🤞
lol There is one video from a while ago -w here the captions somehow turned into Portuguese and apparently when you translate it everything is wrong. Oh well. :)
Wow these are some great puzzles!!! I like a LOT of the ones you ended up with! I really liked the NYPC and BetterCo ones. I've done the Geno Peoples one this past summer. It was a lot of fun, but a little darker than I normally do so it was a bit more of a challenge. And that Shanty town with the cork pieces, how fun! I have THREE puzzles with cork pieces, meanwhile I have yet to do any of them!!!! Looking forward to seeing some of these in a video or at least on your IG
That’s a great haul! I think I’ve only done the Ravensburger Needlework one and it’s a lot of fun. I also have mixed feelings about BetterCo. Their images are nice and their boxes are beautiful, but the most important part - the piece quality- is poor. All mine have pieces with damage or factory issues where the fits aren’t exact and you have gaps. I own about 6 or 7 so I don’t think it’s ‘just a bad run’ issue. I always wait a bit before getting another usually if I see a sale hoping they’ve fixed things but the same problems remain. A perfect brand for a swap tho!
Yup - succulents - Dead. The best I did was I had a christmas tree for three years that lived in a pot inside. But then we moved to Temecula and it didn't survive when I put it outside.
Just curious, how does it work out if you can't find anything in the other person's collection you want to trade for? How awkward is that? Have you had that experience?
It's not super awkward. I've been like, "Oh sorry, I really didn't see anything I wanted." Sometimes they'll buy the puzzle if they really wanted it, or just moves on.
Galison gets me with their images too.
"Nature's Mirror" looks like my kind of puzzle!🧩
It is a pretty one!
Great puzzle haul!!😮
I liked Shanty town... and cork pieces sounds interesting. Also there were so many great puzzles for free... I would have taken all of them!
Right!?! I think I made out pretty well.
@@thecasualpuzzler Yes a great haul!
You got some good ones!!👍🏾
Yeah I did!

Ah! I'm excited to do that one. Glad you had a good experience!

Thanks for the tip!
The Town puzzle made from cork material...really looks interesting. Thanks for sharing.
Right!! I think it's going to be a good one.
Your excitement was wonderful to enjoy!
Yay, thank you!

I have a feeling I'm going to love the Cork puzzle. It is high up on my to-do pile.
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it!

Such a bummer - I really want to like them. So hope it turns out ok!
I’m the same with plants. Even plants folks say can’t be killed ... ive killed.

Where was the puzzle swap held and how did you find out about it?
They switched locations each time. The group was called San Diego Jigsaw Puzzlers. They are on Facebook.
