    Definitely the cockpit that I'm going to eventually upgrade to. Great video as always Ermin. Your enthusiasm is contagious. I'm using an FGT Lite for now and will most likely upgrade the wheel and pedals to the CSL DD with the boost and some proper pedals (using a Thrustmaster entry level wheel and 3 pedal TM set for now, but still enjoying the experience.) I'd love to see this cockpit with a Dbox or NLR seat mover with traction loss (like Will Ford was using)in my music/game room. I think that will definitely be in my future as a upgrade. God bless and race on!

    Ive used the original F-GT for 3 yrs, ive put a couple of struts in to support the wheel deck and i use 8nm csl dd bundle and its the best rig ever, solid as a rock and i couldn't recommend it enough, its the best bang for buck rig on the market.

    If it helps even in my 1/2 million plus dollar cars one the AMG GTR is made for track use- there is some flex in the steering wheel if I decided to snatch on it. I apologize for sounding douchie with that but I wanted folks who work hard for their money to feel like this flex isn't them getting ripped off the cars I had when I was a poor Marine also flexed maybe I should have led with that.

    I like your enthusiasm, Ermin :-) This is by far the best review of the new Elite model I've witnessed so far. Originally being extremely satisfied with my F-GT Lite (of which I've enjoyed for 9 months by now, still best fully flexible seat on the market, IMO), this review changed my mind. Only show stopper is the price. €1100+delivery for the Elite-model is quite an investment compated to my

      But pretty much any extrusion profile rig can get you rigidity like this, what you're paying here is the ability to go from formula position to GT, if you don't need that then you can go for other options that cost 1/3rd of this

    • @steenzeebergiversendyrmose1517
      @steenzeebergiversendyrmose1517 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DavidGarcia-oi5nt You're probably right, and I think the multi position feature is a sales parameter from Next level for people (like me) racing all kinds of vehicles.
      If one deals exclusively with the materials, it should certainly be possible to make it cheaper and Next Level is in a bad position if their competitors find a similar stable solution at e.g. 75% the price.
      BTW my flexible F-GT Lite seat still has several more DOF's speaking possible seat positions, though by far not as stable as the Elite model, which is teasing me.
      Edit: Maybe I should just wait a year or so to to wait and see if there is a competitive market on this solution - OR if it's just a niche market where DIY's already coming up with much cheaper and yet as stable solutions, but haven't seen this so far.

    I love my F-GT Elite!!! I got the full setup with the monitor stand as well. I am still waiting on my CSL DD to arrive so in the meantime I got the wheel plate edition and bought the front and side mount as an addon that I will swap to when the DD arrives. I find that with my Thrustmaster T150 that I have hard mounted to the wheelplate because the wheel has soo much rattle all the rattling forces go through the rig and give me haptic feedback so I really hope the CSL DD does too. The complaints you had in the video are pretty much the same that I had. Took me about 12 hours (Including triple monitor stand, also I had never built a rig before) to put together and get the fit right for me ergonomically but I loved the process. One complaint I will add for the monitor stand is that the TNuts that they provide are a very snug fit and I found that I couldn't move some of them along the arms without inserting a long allen key in the slot and bashing them with a hammer, they were fine on the main rig so not sure why the monitor stand was different but its a minor complaint. I am in New Zealand which means everything is expensive but this rig will last me eons :) Great on point review!

      What;s your view on it now 4 months later, seat comfortable for F1 position? How is the Wheel flex and pedal flex with CSL DD?

    • @whiplash231
      @whiplash231 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@notenoughgain I typically leave the seat in a hybrid position somewhere between F1 and GT as that is easier to get in and out of. No wheel flex with the CSL DD, well there is a tiny bit but that is more due to the Mclaren GT3 V2 wheel itself having some play in it. Pedals are rock solid!! I have the rig on a concrete floor so I do feel all the bumps and vibrations right through the rig but I think this would be less on carpet. That's not a complaint though as it makes everything feel more realistic.

I've had huge problems with this rig in terms of mounting Fanatec products (CSL DD, Shifter/handbrake and V3 pedals) I can't reach the pedals even though I'm long legged, had to mount the shifter/handbrake a long way due to the plate and had to half mount my CSL DD. Also it didn't have enough Allen screws and nuts to mount everything so had to go to Bunnings to get more.

Tried to modify it to makes things more ergonomically better only to slice open my right hand on the cheaply made aluminium strut that holds the wheel base in place, stripped several allen screws and gouged the soft and cheap metal even though I was being super careful.

    I'm really disappointed with this review. If you don't have the ability to fully review the product, why even bother? I was looking for more information on the adjustability of the shifter mounting. And I wanted to see more about the formula position, as well.. It is a hybrid cockpit. If I wanted a GT cockpit, I'd be looking at GT Elite reviews or the PlaySeat Sensation, or something like it. You show footage of mounting the Fanatec Podium DD2, but then test it with the CSL DD. I want to see the rig tested to its limits. The flex in the pedals is also mostly due to not using a pedal plate. With the pedal plate it would have more distance between the mounting points to the rig and an extra plane of rigidity and the flex would be a lot less, too. All in all a waste of time for everyone, unfortunately. I hope you'll do better.
