  • In his first speech to caucus since winning the party's top job, new Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre said Monday his focus will be on holding the government to account for its perceived failings on the economy and inflation. Ontario Conservative MP Michael Barrett said Poilievre will bring an optimistic message to Canadians, focused on affordability.

God help this country if they don’t. We need them in for at least one term to get rid of this present fiasco of a party running the country. Once the damage they are causing is paused and hopefully reversed, if only for a short time, then they can get back into power.

You do know the last two elections the Libs won with thd lowest record breaking margins.
While both elections the Cons had the popular votes.
It's only a matter of time, and next election Libs won't have the NDP to bolster them.

I actually gave you a down vote, but in this, I do kind of agree with you…so I would have actually have liked to have given both a down and up vote…All politicians are pretty much the same, I actually agree with you on that..however, any change at this point, will do the whole country a wold of good. As long as he does away with the bad policies of the last 7 years, we’ll be better for it…too much damage was done. However, if he can’t, or won’t try and change at least some of them, then yup, you’re bang on the mark. “Same old same old”…
On that note, what would you rather…another party, any party getting in and having to start from scratch to do more damage, or the present party who’s already in power, with an idea of how to cause more damage and willing to do it ready and raring to go? As far as I’m concerned, the next election can’t come soon enough.
