Join me in this incredible Pakistan travel vlog as I take you through my terrifying and thrilling experience riding the Fairy Meadows jeep ride on the most dangerous road in Pakistan - the road to Fairy Meadows. This rough rocky mountain road known as the Karakoram Highway and one of the highest paved roads in the world was once the famous trade highway connecting Pakistan and China. Today, as the Karakoram Highway is prone to heavy landslides and is mostly rugged and inaccessible terrain, considering it is the second most dangerous road in the world, it has become a famous tourist attraction in Northern Pakistan. As a foreigner in Pakistan exploring the beauty and culture of this magnificent land, my journey through the Fairy Meadows dangerous road was certainly the greatest Pakistan adventure.

My father was part of the making of this highway. He was a Major in the Pakistani Army. During school holiday my mother brothers and I joined him. We got caught in a landslide on our way to the camp. A rope was set up each end of the landslide, and a soldier allocated to take us across safely. We then had to cross a river in a basket. My father drove the jeep just like in this video cause he would not trust anyone with our lives.
I have lots of memories and photos while up in the mountains. It is the 8th Wonder of this world.

I see the road has improved a lot in terms of width and quality. My first time on this road was 22 years ago when it was barely enough for one vehicle and damaged at several places. In fact, the year before, the weather had damaged it significantly such that traffic was only one-way....morning for going up and afternoon for coming back. Now, there are many places where two vehicles can cross.
Hope you enjoy the remainder of the trip. Are you planning just Fairy Meadows or all the way to the base camp and high camp?
Thank you for your detailed comment. I guess they do fix up this road from time to time. We have just done the trek up to the Fairy Meadows base camp and went back the next morning, as you can see in the video after this one.

I also visited FAIRY MEDOWS last month wonderful experience but jeep ride was so thrilling and scary, even i cant express the beauty of this valley in words but due to dangerous jeep road i will not visited here again 😂
