*Exclusive Designers Interview HERE ❯* th-cam.com/video/_7M9uhxswxM/w-d-xo.html
Loved that interview and thank you both you and the designers for analyzing the ideas and concepts that brought this masterpiece together! From the looks of it, in my humble opinion this is the best modular released to date!
The irregular windows of the more Georgian style workshop is actually quite realistic, Georgian buildings would have the fanciest windows for the facade and then very plain ones for all other faces of the building.
I did not know that! Thanks for pointing that out!
It's impressive when you look at some of the Georgian architecture just how varied they can be in the same building!
But it IS the facade if it's a corner building? And surely it's a mock Tudor not Georgian
I think that's my main problem with this that they seem to have just thrown random architectural styles in, and to me it looks messy, the windows of the 1st floor being my biggest bug
A building that old might not have been a corner when it was first built. I really like the two different styles of window
@@sfroio cool glad you like them, not saying anyone's wrong for liking it, just see a lot of love for it so just an alt perspective.
I haven't collected modulars for years now, but wow, I almost want to pick this up simply for the joy of building it! The angles, colors, and techniques are incredible. Thanks as always for your thorough review, Tiago!

Ayy it’s cheesey
Can I ask why you haven’t collected the modulars?
@@greenmt1100 I spend too much money on 4 Juniors Pirates and 2x2 tiles 😞
Ahahah love that!
This is one of the most beautiful modulars
Agreed!
It defeated my all time favorite; the Parisian Restaurant.
@@derkoenigvonbayern Quite the statement! I agree; amazing set!
The thing that stood out to me the most is the building techniques. They are BRILLIANT and for sure one of the best we got this year. Well done LEGO.
We are not getting this set this year
@@MCSquidwardbro it’s out
@@FuriousJunker One month ago, it wasn’t for general people; this was posted in December.
@@MCSquidward Apologies Squid
As a Brit I simply have to buy this 🤩 My first modular purchase since the Detectives Office!
Hope you enjoy it! It's a good one for sure!
we have the same taste. These 2 are the best!
Detectives office was my first modular building.
In a set full of brilliant building techniques, that one that he literally exclaim was the but tiles inside the hollow spaces of the transparent bricks. I love this modular so much! I want to live in it!
6:37 I like to imagine the person living in the apartment is the clock maker's daughter living in the upstairs of the shop. Maybe she's a student who needs a place to live with low cost.
I was thinking a boarder, or something along those lines. The building layout makes it look like it's meant to be storage space for the shop, or an attic, and the clock maker just repurposed it.
shes the girl clock king kidnapped for his brilliant scheme of upsetting batman and robin
an absolute British icon. they captured everything perfectly; I'm surprised that this exact building isn't just down the road. phenomenal set and the designers are so talented for cooking up something like this. The Tudor rose in the instructions is an amazing detail. it is such a shame that I cannot purchase this one, it is truly one of, if not the best modular building in the series.
Parisian restaurant, the detective’s office, and now this. Absolutely amazing.
I love all of my modular buildings, but these three are my absolute favourites. Can’t wait for January the 1st.
And as always an excellent review by you. I always wait to hear what you have to say about the modular buildings.
Glad you enjoyed it!
9:29 The Tudor corner looks absolutely AWESOME next to the Police Station!
With how my modulars are displayed, I knew the next one would have to go to the left of my Police Station. The excitement I felt seeing it fit so perfectly!!
The tile with the lanyard 🙌🏻🙌🏻 Awesome job, Lego!!
Perfect, everything is perfect, down to the last detail, as a proud British person I can say that this is one of the best Modular’s ever!😁
Not biased at all right? 👀 😂
@@TiagoCatarino nope, not biased at all😅
I am so excited for this. As it is mostly based on English architectural styles it does sort of make sense from what you see around here why the window is different. I totally agree with you as I too would also like it matching, but with these older style buildings many things are usually added and changed as building tastes change over the centuries and it makes for some odd styles. Though not my favourite, I did quite like the nod to that in this modular. It feels like a fitting amalgamation of Britain in a fantasy-adjacent way. In the same way Bridgerton is 'history adjacent'
Cool insights about the architecture, thanks!
I always look forward to your reviews especially because of your knowledge, honesty, and excellent photography. LEGO’s modular buildings line is my absolute favourite and has been since 2007. Having said that, there are releases I’ve skipped because they didn’t make my heart beat a little faster lol. I won’t be skipping Tudor Corner. Your review really highlights its charm. And I think I’m going to love it as much as 10243 Parisian Restaurant and 10297 Boutique Hotel. Thanks for another informative review :)
By design It’s very British 🇬🇧 and that makes me very happy - great run through/review Tiago of what is shaping up to be a much loved modular.
The moment I saw this it instantly became one of my favourite Modular buildings ever. I thought it was a high end MOC at first so it's amazing how they got all of these details in an official LEGO set. The corner pub reminds me of my old local one.
Wow! That's an amazing new modular! Definitely a must have!
This will be my first modular. Fantastic review
Honestly one of your best reviews yet, Tiago!
This modular itself has some qiite insane building techniques 😲😲
Wow, thanks!
Who designed this set? And why are they not designing literally every set for LEGO? This is one of the most well designed sets I have ever seen for LEGO. Up there with the Lion Knights Castle.
A French friend of mine, so proud of him ! 🎉❤
@@Hellacop6 Tell him he's a legend. First Lego I've built in 15 years since I was a kid, and it's absolutely gorgeous.
@@andrewtucker94 i will when I’ll be visiting him this year in Billund 🙏✌🏻
Really like the look of this, definitely one of the stronger looking buildings in the series.
I like the more European look. This is an amazing set. It's very sophisticated in color choice. Also I love the windows being different.
Overall I would say it's architecturally more a 'Mock Tudor' corner than a Tudor one. There are still a few Tudor buildings of this size in London, like Prince Henry's Room on Fleet Street and St Bartholomew’s Gatehouse, but most of the buildings that look Tudor are actually late Victorian or even 1920s/30s imitations - a lot of them are pubs (or 'inns' if you like, but no-one in the UK would call them that!) and the style is even sometimes known as 'Brewers Tudor'. Given the style and shape of the ground and middle floor, this feels like one of those buildings - still perhaps 100-150 years old but not quite 500 years old! Btw the way I really love this set and the channel, really appreciate the reviews and looking forward to building the (Mock) Tudor Corner, once I get through some Black Friday purchases!
I find it funny that you a European says: two corners together forms a nice alley. Another US-American review I saw was complaining on it being another corner and they didn't want so many roads XD.
I don't have the space to collect modulars, but this is a very lovely model!
We need to start planning our Lego cities around our idealized modes of transit
Love how the new Tudor building turned out, especially the exterior of that black and white striped-wall.
This is seriously one of the best looking Modular’s I’ve seen, might be biased tho as I’m a history nerd but I love it. Genuinely so excited to pick it up when it comes out!
Genuinely the review I look forward to most all year! All about the modulars for me!
favourite Modular so far, really good design
I love this one so much !!! It pairs very nicely with the library ! I love those old style buildings, they're full of charm ❤
Great review! I have never been so tempted by a modular. Also, thank you for showing how the angular timbers were constructed. It is a cool build technique, but unfortunately takes a width of three bricks.
There's no easy and reliable way to do it any other I guess. It did take a lot of space on the build, but the effect is quite something!
Great review! I’ve been collecting modulars for 4-5 years but usually take my time getting them. This might need to be a day 1 buy!
This set brings my two hobby’s together ; LEGO and Tudor watches , it is so smart to call this building with a clock maker the Tudor corner ❤️
Tiago I always appreciate your reviews.
im from the uk and id just like to say that windows being "tiled different" as you call it is actually quite common here. i cant add any insight as to why they do this but its definitely realistic from a design perspective, i think they nailed this set perfectly tbh
id also like to say that having to go through a shop to get to your apartment is very very normal here
I was not aware! Cool!
My daughter uses a hidden disability lanyard identical to that so she will be blown away that something important to her she uses daily will be in a Lego set. I love that!
It really reminds me of the Parisian restaurant, theyve both got kind of a mystical atmosphere to them
It's growing on me and this review only adds to that. Great review!
Hooray! The next modular is finally here, and it looks great, I really love the color scheme.
One of the better Modular design in recent years imo...
As a lover of all things Victorian and Steampunk, the modulars have been hit-or-miss for me, but this one is a DEFINITE buy! I can add it to my Victorian town with minimal changes, and the design is gorgeous!
You should check out the Steampunk series from both Pantasy and Funwhole! Top-notch quality (and way cheaper than Lego).
This is so beautiful, especially as a British AFOL that associates this kind of architecture with home. A must-buy for me!!
thank you for showing how the angled timbers were made! that is a holy grail design for castle builders to try to create
2:41 Tiled like THIIIISSSS 🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵
Dang, I need this, but told myself I was going to limit my Lego hobby to Christmas Village and the Castle/medieval theme. I feel this is gonna open up a passion for modulars that I have zero space for.
It’s a really nice building. My only complaint about it is that it doesn’t have a bedroom. I mean it’s an inn so it feels kind of weird that there isn’t a bed for minifigures to sleep in.
Great review! Thanks for sharing with us. This is absolutely a must have Set!
It is a set that Lego fans need to buy ❤ it's lovely!
I cant wait for this Eurpoean set. Excluding the original three, I have every single city modular set and hope lego continues to explore, research, expariment and design foreign modular building structures for future yearly sets. It might be interesting if the next set happens to be a “construction site with the final product being “incomplete” similar to the bricklink construction set or possibly, have the building be fire or storm damage.
When i first laid eyes on Tudor Corner, I got the good vibes similar to The Bookshop. Maybe it's just me, but I think these 2 sets would go really nicely together because they just convey Britishness. By the way, I think the lady on the top floor apartment has a sofa bed. Thank you, Tiago! Hope you would review the Bookshop soon 😊
I love the lego 6067 reference for the inn!!
Guarded Inn, which is a classic LEGO Castle set from 1986. 🥰
Well done review 🎉 as always ❤ it will join my modulars collection 👍
I love it, but next year I'm wishing for a building that isn't a corner or bigger than one base plate. Just like the Jazz Club and the Police Station!
Hopefully its one building that fills an entire baseplate, its been a bunch of years since the last one
clearly someone really wanted to build a load of clocks and see how many different ways they could.
Joking aside, I think this is the best one they've made
You mention that you find the building experience of modular buildings to be on the boring side. However, there's one thing that they're amazing at in terms of building experience and that is *sharing* the build. When I got the jazz club earlier this year, my wife and I built it together; she build the bottom floor while I built the other two and it was such a fun and satisfying thing to do together that I wish Lego would embrace this kind of shared build process more, for example, by splitting up modular build instructions into multiple instruction books (I downloaded the PDF to my iPad to allow us to build at the same time).
Looks EPIC like the angle of the tudor set great detail and minifigs awesome review 👍
It does!
I love the reference to Lego castle set guarded inn
I recently completed the DnD CMF because I'm a massive DnD fan and they were retiring, even tho I didn't really have a place for most of them. This modular will be the perfect place to place them around in my Lego city tho!
That, and this type of restaurant is a type I've grown up with, so it hits close to home, as well as the build just looking phenomenal, I'm so excited to pick this one up. I might honestly do D1, and use some VIP points to get it down to like $200.
It is a big challenge to incorporate clever building techniques into the modulars simply because they are so optimized for the most interior space possible. There is not a lot of wasted space between walls or under terrain building that allows for you to hide a bunch of intricate framing.
I just got the market square and bookshop, I should have waited for this, it’s stunning!
Wow amazing Set and very nice Review 🎉 🙏🏻 😊
I cant wait …
One of the best Building.
Thanks soooooo much 🤗
The past few years have been good but not the greatest for the modulars. This is definitely my favorite one in many years
Great review as always! The build seems awesome!! Also glad to know it almost doubles up as a droid battlepack 😂
I totally agree with you on the gift with purchase. It looks like they could have easily included this one and the Endurance one with its' gwp with the actual sets. Great review.
the color combination looks really nice
I find the Star Wars droid piece use so cool
It’s not often I feel motivated to buy one of these sets on the day of their release, but I love this one so much that it’ll be the first thing I buy come 00:01am
The ally with the boutique is genius
This modular is beautiful!
I love the tudor style
Definitely one of my new favorites
The hat store and clock shop are amazing, the pub is great
With a hat store I was hoping for new hat molds, but it doesn’t seem like there is any.
I wish it wasn’t a corner building, we need a 32×32 one building modular that fills most of the baseplate. Hopefully next year
The grey cap is a new recolour!
What a beautiful set! I wish I had the space and money to collect these, one day maybe
2 years ago, we had a corner-modular, and now another 😂😂😂! It's insane!!
I will add that the idea of someone going through a business to access their apartment is not too far fetched! I live above a thrift store and the owner of the apartment also owns the thrift store, I have to go though the front door, in order to get to the stairs of my place lol. So i like to think that the animal lover upstairs is renting from the clockmaker, that or they are both renting from the inn owner
I might start doing these Modulars. Lego are making more and more things that are Medieval - like. Which I like. Not complaining.
Also full prints / no stickers should be the standard for all the expensive sets (this is the treatment they needed to give to the Medieval Town Square).
Ahia, Tiago! 6:11 You built a clock with the wrong time!
Even in that corner at 6:25!!!
Fantastic review, as always! And I appreciate you also added your thoughts on the corner kiosk GWP.
But then I was intrigued: what IS your top five modular list? Parisian Restaurant, Boutique Hotel… Police Station because you often use it in your videos?
And Natural History Museum! Can't beat dinos, and I really like the longer 1 building only modular as opposed to Assembly Square made out of several different "buildings"
Anyone wishes they would naked stuff like the gwp into a city set or something? You need buildings like this if you want to make a city, not the 100th vehicle.
This review helped me like the set a bit more. I'm still thrown off by the color scheme of the top floor. It's a little jarring for me.
Have somebody noticed one of the chimney's ducts goes to nowhere?
Mentioned in the building instructions as something the chimney sweeper petitioned to keep in there for aesthetic purposes. No joke!
This might be my favorite modular
This has surely got to be the greatest modular of all time. I've been waiting for a modular to drag me in and this is it. God help my wallet!!
I’d love to see a video where you rate your top 5 Modular’s!
0:53 that hood piece is from Wyldstyle from the LEGO Movie.
I would’ve been drooling over this set as a kid. The Modulars were the dream back then. Unfortunately never got one 😕. But nowadays it’s just too pricy for me to justify 😂
im reminded that europeans call the floor above the lobby "first floor" rather than the north american "2nd floor". this really caught me off guard the first time i traveled to europe lol
Definitely one the US gets wrong. Ground floor makes much more sense
That red hood piece was introduced on 2014 for wild style (Lucy) in back and pink printing on the inside of the hood from the Lego movie 😊
Never bought one, this will be my first
Same
Finally a modular that can top Parisian restaurant
Nice review of a impressive build! I finally managed to not being tempted to buy all of these, last one was the hotel. While it is gorgeous the lack of logic with the apartment really helps me not buying this one. I love the workshop and the vacuum cleaner though.
Many inns in the UK are actually pubs so the name here isn’t unusual.
Going to be a heck of a parts kit for castle mocs on rebrickable
I don't like the shape of the corner and the stairs leading up to the room. It gives a gab. But I love the details on the outside and ground floor.
Good to know your thoughts on if those of us who have never gotten one would have a good start here, I've been watching them since the OG Cafe Corner released years ago but never got into them because price, now that I have funds, I never got into the because there's just so many, but this one, it kinda speaks to me... Maybe I'll start with a few corner sets and go from there haha...
Lovely!
In the UK often Inns are basically a Pub that has rooms that you can stay in.
I skipped a few modular buildings due to price and space issues… (last one was the police station)I think I will get this one though because it reminds me of a few buildings here in Forest Hills, NY which use a lot of Tudor inspired designs.
This looks great, however I think I will wait for a discount
ayyyyyyyy baby new tc video
More to come!
The way the wall plants in the alley grow all the way from the trash container to the appartement balcony almost suggest the cat uses it to climb up and down for some nighttime adventures in Brick City.
honestly the top floor could be rechanged to moonknights apartment !
I like it but my favourite build ever was the fishing hut so much creativity
