Candice O'Denver 🙏 Awareness is aware of everything by its infinite capacity to be aware of all things at once simultaneously & timelessly. The Light of Awareness shines on all things & reflects, and yet casts no shadows on them. Awareness is like empty space, it is not shaped by what that passes thru' it - it remains untouched, whole & free. Fundamentally, our Awareness is our aliveness which is also True (Self) Nature. 😊🙏🙇♂️🌷
By 'not getting distracted,' she means not getting involved or identified with the ego and its tendencies: comparisons, projections, desires, fears, attachments, judgments, resistance, and the constant pursuit of validation or superiority. This means not to be pulled by the content of the experience, but rather to observe through direct experience, that is, pure observation without interpretation.
Today I really benefitted from Candice’s comment that you can’t look for Awareness because Awareness is what is looking. It’s not that I hadn’t heard that before, and understood it; it’s more that sometimes, when the time is right, an understanding is more pervasive, more powerful. That was the case today. 🩵🩵🩵
