I hope the wings of the lancers have some sort of Draco effect on other cavalry or monsters to give some flavour to the famous winged lancers. The hussars in history had the wings made such that they make a screeching wind sound at full gallop to terrify the enemies before the charge. Though its questionable it would be effective with all the galloping noise , armour clapping and other noises present on the field.
@@Luizguilherme-iz9yl I believe the OP was making a point that it is strange for a faction so 'Russian' to be narrated by a person with a solid English accent. The narrator did a splendid job just does not fit the theme.

Interesting. Although the inspiration behind their culture and state are obviously Kievan Rus and other slavic nations, the beginning of the kislevites is so close to the nomads in our real world. Hope CA will develop this mixing thing further and will create a unique race not just a simple copy of Mediaval russians. Also, thank you for such an amazing video!

Literally. Everything is a coot of somthing else. Tomb Kings, Egypt. Vampire Counts. Medieval Eastern Europe. Araby…. Literally a really bad (racist; or so I’ve been told) rip off of Arabic cultures. It’s not just the human empires. It’s all of them.
I’ve recently started reading the Gotrek and Felix Novels and I’m honestly surprised with how old of a character Katarin is. Kislev features prominently in the early books and they didn’t have their own pantheon yet, Ulrika is named Ulrika because back then Ulric was the Patron god of Kislev, not Ursin, but Katarin is still there and still an Ice Witch. Also they go to Middenheim in one of the early books and while characters like Karl Franz and Manuela the Countess of Wissenland are characters the Count of Middenland is just some random guy, not Toddy.
I am looking forward to playing Katarin, I find mage LL more interesting in general but there is a lack of ones with interesting mechanics behind them. They also suffer a bit from 'mid-late' game powercreep where their spells don't keep up with high tier armies (where melee lords can just move/attack and facetank whole stacks) but that is kind of an issue with the game in general and how it escalates. One thing I really hope they do (although its unlike) is have Kislev not use the winds of magic like the other factions as they get their magic through the 'Ancient Widow’, maybe have a CD based system like the dawfs expect with a high risk of causing damage to the caster and anyone around them. Would like a similar system for the greenskins but now we are getting off topic
Always valid to let us know your thoughts in regards of these matters. 😃👌⚔ The mechanics are getting better and better overall. Add mods to the mix and with proper time, you'll certainly find something awesome for yourself!
You'd probably like the SFO:Grimhammer mod. It rebalances the game really well. I think they have improved the mage LL in terms of keeping up with high tier armies, at least in the second game. Morathi, Teclis, and Ikit are super powerful, and their respective lords (Supreme Sorc, High Mage, and Master Warlock) are all so good it is almost pointless to take the combat lords. Not much withstands a good ol' flamestorm or warp lightning
