I too own a 635 and on occasion have forgotten to wind on the film ,your photo's are super , l like your analogy on others ideas of how to take photo's etc ... Personally I listen in and take away anything that grabs my attention.

I do that too, of course :) Having so much information out there is great and certainly helpful. But sometimes you can have information overload and get confused.
Trial and error is a fantastic way to learn. But for film it can be a little stressful :)
Thanks so much for checking out the video and reaching out!

I think the images with the softer light source came out best!

I really enjoyed this video Nats, loved the raw dialogue and the sight you shared on your experience with shooting medium format. It’s been fun to be along the learning journey, using the light meter and experimenting with positioning and lighting. The score was amazing on this video- loved it!

You have no idea how cool it is that you enjoy the process too! Especially now that you are doing your own thing here as well :)

I’m glad you enjoyed the calmness. I wasn’t feeling too hyped so I’m happy it still can work when I keep things chilled. All the best and thank you :)

wonderful work best hing is your enjoying yourself. Some thoughts that may be of use. Your lighting set up is good and simple --- first back up this light until thew circle about fills the size of the
round diffusion. This will lower the contrast of the light source, you had indicated you want the look to be more natural. Larger round diffusion would also help. Also you can point the light source and diffusor so you use the edge of the light projected this is even softer. Try your exposer to the ambient light from the window and the ;light form the light source are about he same exposure.
As you experiment with film try rating is at half the ISO this will help you hold value in the blacks, you can then try adjusting development time plus for minus to adjust highlights. After all my take
or leave but sill keep having fun.........

Hi Paul! I am so very sorry for the late response to your helpful comment. Thank you for your tips. I finally have my soft box back and can now position the diffusion further from the light source. I am about to make new photos this evening and will incorporate your advice. Thanks again :) all the best x

Beautiful portraits. Big fan of Kentmere and Arista (which is probably Fomapan), both produce beautiful results for me developed in either Xtol or Arista Premium. My most recent Yashica TLR has issues lol so I’ve been shooting a ton of 35mm with my beloved OM-1.

Cool! I’ve never captured images with Arista. What’s wrong with your Yashica TLR??

@@NatalieRosellaBoonzaier Have a Yashica-12 and the taking lens was listed as clear/clean but in actuality it’s not. I’ve tried cleaning it ten times it looks exactly the same ;)

@@marike1100 Aw, I'm sorry to hear that. Is it mould? Sometimes you can shoot through that if it's not too crazy. Mine has a touch of some stuff inside and it's okay as long as I don't shoot into the sun...I think.
