I hunt pheasants in Nodak without a dog that said people have no idea how tight these birds are holding to cover. Without snow cover and smaller drainages I personally would never flush one bird from that mess. I’m learn so much watching these dogs break down an area and find many of my birds in similar cover so I know I’m looking in the right places but missing so many birds If you can handle the winters and not the best deer hunting state North Dakota has it all for the outdoors person 😊
It’s a bird hunters dream for sure! I can’t imagine hunting there without dogs though. That’s what I enjoy the most watching them do what they were made to do.
