      Ha! It was a fun hunt. The game always comes up faster than I realize, we’ll see what happens! Winner take all to the CFP is always an exciting game.

    Sharpies in MI glad to see it, was going to stop and hunt that area on my way out of the UP but plans changed. Can't tell you how good it is to see some Pheasants back there again. Worked on the PF Board for 6 years, glad to see some of those $$ being put to work.

      It’s been a pretty good year for pheasants! The hard work done in areas isn’t always recognized, but it’s there and the birds are too.

    Great to see all four upland birds in the bag!! Is this all public land? Lots of public land in FL but only quail!! Good looking pups....

      Thank you, Rich! Yes, all publicly accessible land. Good luck the rest of season!

    Great video! I am considering getting a Brittany for hunting grouse and woodcock in MI. Obviously you are a Brittany fan and your dogs are super well trained. I was wondering if you could give me some info on breeders and training the dog. Any help would be appreciated.

    Nice hunt! Love your Britts. I think I'm going to hunt Michigan for the first time this coming season. How old is Aspen in the video? I also get over excited when my new pup gets a first.

      Thanks man! Aspen was a few days shy of turning 2 in this video. Good luck this season!

    Awesome dogs man ! I hunt ruffed grouse and mtn quail here in northwest coast of Oregon with my corgi I know it sounds weird but he has incredible prey drive and works close as a flushing and retrieving dog. My profile pic is of him with a mtn quail.

    What would you recommend when hunting Mi UP sharptails? Pines, taller grass? Thanks in advance

    love your videos man, i would like to see some shotkam footage but still great job. i do have a question though, do you hunt private land or public?

    • @UplanderLifestyle
      @UplanderLifestyle  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks man! It is all public ground. I like the idea of the shotkam, and I have considered it. Only thing is it's just another thing to haul into the field, another battery to charge etc. But maybe I'll give it a shot one day. Thanks for watching and following along!

      @@UplanderLifestyle Its truly amazing that its possible to practice your hobby on public land and have a big variety of places to go, where i am from you barely have 1 spot if you dont own a piece of land. Nice to see you consider the shotkam footage but either way i love your videos man just keep at it :)

    I'm curious, at the 21:35 mark you appear to have downed two birds but only retrieved one. Am I wrong?

    • @UplanderLifestyle
      @UplanderLifestyle  ปีที่แล้ว

      There was just one bird there. Maybe you are thinking the slow motion replay was a second bird?

    • @rabidcougar6465
      @rabidcougar6465 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@UplanderLifestyle After hearing your explanation and repeatedly watching that section of the video, it is apparent that the second shot was a slo-mo portrayal of the shoot.
      Just curious, was that on public land and if so, what area of the state was it? What area of the state is the most productive for the dwindling population of pheasants.?
      I haven't pheasant hunted in years and would love to get back out for one last season at my age but have no private landowners to connect with and no idea which areas of public land are the most productive.
      Thanks, really nice video

    Do you never get nervous that you'll accidently hit one of the dogs?

    • @UplanderLifestyle
      @UplanderLifestyle  ปีที่แล้ว

      No. Because I wouldnt take the shot if I felt there was a chance of hitting or even being close to hitting the dog.
