Karrie, I love the end result. I am especially admiring of all the editing and curating. I think you could have removed another 20 percent of the stuff like the faux plants. You did an excellent job of creating the symmetry and mood with all for next to no money. Great job.

I love your aunts style and I love how you interpreted it in a fresh way. I appreciate the eclectic without it being too cluttered which sometimes happens. The green curtains were exactly right, and they make the room along with that rug that reminds me of the one I bought from my room recently. It’s hard to tell because of the lighting but mine has turquoise and orange, which is weird and I recognize that and I love it. I kept going back to it and telling my husband.”I know this is so weird and nobody will like it, but I love this rug so much” and he made me buy it which makes me love him extra. ❤
Also , I think that the little lamps are perfect in that room and I am glad that you put the chairs next to each other instead of with that cabinet in between. That just made me uncomfortable.

Looks so great! Changing the curtains from brown to green was a definite win, so much better! Also, I think it looks so much better with the bookcase off to the side. Having the chairs together with a side table (that's in the middle, lol) will make conversation so much easier. Great job!

Huge improvement over a dreary room. The reading nook was a good choice for that alcove-----so glad you didn't leave the tall shelf between the two orange chairs. Tall mirror fills the wall without additional bulk. Very nice job!

Remember the golden rule for bedrooms ... always face the bed towards the windows, not towards a blank wall. Same for sofas - never have back to windows.
The point is for the people in the bed or on the sofa, to be able to look out the window.
Love the way you finished the seating area. The bookcase was too large to go in between so that table you made is perfect in between the chairs. Love the burnt orange chairs. I found a tufted one in a mustard yellow velvet across the street and swooped it up. I just need to change out the fabric since it’s dirty. It’s so comfortable.
This was so good! I loved how you worked with what she had and just made it more her style. You made the right choice on the bed placement. It feels more like a hotel room, but cozier.
GREAT MAKEOVER!! The rug is awesome! It is perfect for the room. And the lamps are perfect also, I cannot believe they are from Walmart! The Reading book looks perfect took. Good job on the door too! I really like the Gallery Wall too, it looks perfect in the room. The green curtains were a wonderful choice as well as the beautiful bedding. Everything looks gorgeous! You did great!

This looks amazing- HUGE improvement. But from a practical standpoint, you removed an entire dresser. Was it empty? What happens to all the clothing in there? Now she goes into the spare room every time she needs clothes? That part doesn't seem very practical. An entire dresser and all the clothing in it- just gone. My room would look better too, if I could just remove some of the furniture!
WOW!, Karrie you just have such a talent of decorating a space! I just love it all from the way you out the bed in between the windows and then extended the drapes. (Which are gorgeous). The rug just brings everything together and the bedding looks great with it. I have a blue child's chair that I want to paint, and after telling us about Beyond paint, I decided I'd give it a try. I happened to be near Home Depot and stopped in. They don't sell that brand, but they said they get a lot of people asking for it. QUESTION: Where can I find it?😊
