Wow! Another great video. I’m trying to imagine just how much that conversion must have cost. All those guys working plus all the materials. I’ve thought about converting my pool too. I don’t think I’d go the wetland filter route though . I would think my existing pump and filter system should do the job. I would add a UV light system as well. I have 2 ponds in back also and the UV works great. I’m afraid my Koi will out grow those ponds. I’ve also entertained building an above ground one which could handle them. The pool conversion could handle quite a few big Koi. However I do like the idea of above ground so I can have a viewing glass ( actually Lexan) because it’s so kool looking at them from the side too rather than just from above .
Cool vid. Thanks. How does the plumbing work.? From the pump in the shallow end into the catapiller? What pump you using. Thanks for any advice. Great channel
Wow this is going to be cool...Brian could you use cement block for that wall instead of the aquablocks? Actually mortar them in? Just wondering. God bless
Greg, Ed,Brian,Chris and crew😜Your in Florida again and not at my house, Come on it’s a dream for me to have a pond, I’ll even help” Come to Englewood, Florida and help a Florida girl out, pretty please!
If you can't answer my question I definitely understand BIG DOGGIE 💯👣 But if you can't answer can you pass the question on to the pond professor BIG DOGGIE 💯👣 Thank you very much BIG DOGGIE 💯👣
Did you guys do anything with that light niche? Pools gotta be 40+ years old. No way it doesn't leak. Did you 2 part it? I built 10 inground pools in illinois last year. Mostly in the dekalb/sycamore area. Really cool what you guys do. I'm getting burnt out in pools tho. Love how you put this one to rest.
Great video BIG DOGGIE 💯👣 I have a question for you BIG DOGGIE 💯👣 I love your natural l👀king ponds BIG DOGGIE 💯👣 I live in Southern California, and wanted to know if datnoids could live in one of your ponds outside BIG DOGGIE 💯👣 Or would it just be too cold for them BIG DOGGIE 💯👣 Or would you know how to put heaters in the pond, but keeping it l👀king natural BIG DOGGIE 💯👣 Please let me know BIG DOGGIE 💯👣
I was enjoying watching your videos but too many of them do not show the final product. I was really wanting to see the indoor builds you were doing at your place of business and still have not seen it. Very disappointing.
Good idea to go down to Florida where the politicians aren't so corrupt and you don't have to put a diaper over your nose and mouth. Nice aquaecapes! Let's go Brandon!
I really don’t like how much space they wasted just too make the filter they had plenty of space to make an above ground bio filter system. I have lived in Florida all my life and we have a lot of predator birds getting rid of the deepest place for fish to hide is a mistake plus they wasted like 7,000 gallons of water space.
Lime stone is still bad in Florida, you did a poor job explaining why your going with it, someone might draw bad conclusions. If your going to use the ground water in fl its going to be very hard/alkaline so the pond is going to have trouble growing fish and plants that can't live in it anyways so "why not use limestone if the water is going to be hard anyways." But not everyone is going to use ground water to fill it/ top it off (rain or treated) and some people who do use well water are going to bring the hardness down using peat or acids and the lime would be bad for those people. People are trusting they are going to think just because they are in Florida they can use it and have the same results of a balanced pond. . sorry to pick just trying to help those who may not understand.
all that money and all I did was turn off my filter, buy one 300 aerator with weighted hose for both ends ... ffs, if you live in Florida like us. plants all in the canals. you wait until you see tadpoles. put in a few plants, toss in koi. etc. then go collect a lot of duckweed, alligator flag, floating lettuce, hyacinths, etc. cover abt 60%. i don't even have a filter. My water is clear because of the plants. the fish eat, poop and feed my plants. it is beautiful. I have cranberry hibiscus submerged .. duck potato, etc. cattails. It looks like an actual pond.
@@TEAMAquascape May I ask why you brought the filtration up that high? I'm sure it'll look fantastic, I never have a doubt about that anymore. You guys are too good to fail there, but if it's the same concept as Rich's at OFR, that one was left much deeper. Is the difference the size of the pool? No criticism intended, just curiosity.
Awesome!!
I would love to see the before and after.
We've seen the before. I would rather see the after...

Fun conversion for a great guy Sam!
I wanted to see it when it was finished. Where can I find that video?
So great to have met you all in person at the Academy event ! Thanks for all of the great info and tips you share from your amazing projects !
Thanks for coming!

What a crazyyy project ?!?
can't wait to see it running!
Where is the finished product? I want to do this to my pool, and want to see the finished conversation
Why go throught so much trouble? What if you just put gravel in and the filter
My thoughts exactly
Cool vid. Thanks. How does the plumbing work.? From the pump in the shallow end into the catapiller? What pump you using. Thanks for any advice. Great channel
Beautiful
wow, your intro stole my heart lol that was a great intro.
Using Aquablox as Gabion cages... creative solution. Love the design and information about native stone in Florida.
Yes, creative but I don’t see the point in terms of cost (Aquablox $$$ vs brick wall $). Great video though.
Uber cool. Nice to see Jack and DK mentioned in the intro. The Team works!
They are a great team!
Shout out to Garden State Koi helping with this project!!!!
Waiting, Waiting, waiting!
lol
How is it you guys continually kill it every time!
I love these pool conversions. :)
Thanks!!!
I had no idea ya'll were in Florida! I have hope!
So Awesome
Awesome video, can’t wait to see the end product. Keep up the hard work.
Thank You!
@@TEAMAquascape so where's the final product? Also how much does something like this cost?
Awesome!!!
Sam’s gotta Love this!!!
The cliffhanger is strong inthis vid...really would have liked to see the finished, running product
Is there a final video on this pond build?
All that gravel and rocks plus water, did youcalculate the weight on the pool foundation?
It's ok everything underwater becomes lighter. (Only joking.)
I wondered that as well, it's a lot of weight added to the pool. I want to do something similar but worried I'll crack the foundation of the pool.
I agree
Cool conversion and super helpful for planning a pool to pond conversion.
What type of fabric did you use to line the bottom of the pond please?
Amazing!
This would be a dream job..love fish and nature and you guys kill it every time
Amazing what you guys can come up with.
To the Motley Crue. Fantastic job boys. That Pool Pond looks amazing. Rock on! 🤟
Where is the after/fully set up and looking clear with fish in it video? Links please :)
I want to see it full
It’s always nice to be the camera guy
How would you clean that filter though
Once a year drain down and back flush with the snorkel
@@TEAMAquascape ok kool I was wondering I had to redo my filtration system to be able to clean it easier
I thought that “Florida has no rules” was an exaggeration but all that limestone really says Florida has no rules 😂
When will the final part be done???
I would have dug next to rhe swimming pool adding the filter stuff and love pool volume
Please update us on how the pond is doing during the hurricane!!!!
what would this typically cost on a similar size pool in middle GA?
I love Sam he's friends with Kenan and has gorgeous turtles and many reptiles, so cool to see , his ducks will love it!
Why did they stop you taking ditchwater and will we see an update? Great job!
would it be correct to class it as an undergravel filter -- does that make sense ????????
Pretty much what it is
Someones been watching Ohio Fish Rescue lol
I’d be pumping that water at night out of the ditch with every pump we had!!! 😉
Dam, Brian. I certainly hope you buckled up. 5 hours in an uber to Florida. Amazing.
We said the same thing 😂
Are you worried about the water that soaks down into the gravel below? Is it going to get "stagnant"? or does covering it keep it from going "bad"?
Wow this is going to be cool...Brian could you use cement block for that wall instead of the aquablocks? Actually mortar them in? Just wondering. God bless
Yes you could!
where is the part 2??
Y'all in DFW?
I kept looking for something to tie the aquablock to the gravel layers … didn’t see it, oh my. I wish them well anyway.
Where is the finish project?
So wait did you finish? Where is the end result?
Why could you not pump out of the ditch? Usually it's the reverse, can't pump into a ditch.
I guess it's a no no lol

Roughly how much does this cost?
Too much for you.

an uber ride to florida? from chicago???
No from the airport lol
haha, i wish everyone could afford those kinds of stuff, awesome though👌🔥♥️ watching from Philippines ❤️
It seems to me the weight would cave the pool in. ????
Ofr will be jealous.
I'm amazed you threw the deep area away. Koi like deep water.
Did you film the other two events?

Come by Aqualand in St Charles! We can help you
How much did an Uber to Florida cost?? And from where??
you need a tracked mud buggie for hauling the rock. haul more less time and less strain on men
This should say part 1
Yeah, a pool or a pond, pond would be good for you....
💯🔥💙👍
Is Greg the pond guy related to the Mike pillow guy?
Nope 😂
Does anyone else notice the camera is dirty/foggy

Rainwater harvesting….??
Imagine being able to actually walk around and make a video at work!
Not an expert at all but isn't what you did removing water space?? Meaning it went from 20,0000 to probably half 10,000 gallons
I was enjoying watching your videos but too many of them do not show the final product. I was really wanting to see the indoor builds you were doing at your place of business and still have not seen it. Very disappointing.

Cool! Plants make amazing filters
This is atrocious, I wish I had a pool like that. They can build that mud puddle anywhere.....
It's gonna be a filtering son of a buck but it's a shame you lost so much depth. Six minutes to go... let's see how it plays out, shall we? 😁
It doesn't need to be that deep

Sorry, but this is ridiculous. There's almost no swimming pool left for the fish to swim around. FAIL

People have too much money.
No, no and no. I hate click bait promotions!
Waste of a good pool, bad pond design and filling with nasty water.😢
STOP SAYING " I ".....AND START SAYING " WE "

Amazing!
