Hey Pond People! As you can see, we’re never short on testing new things and taking risks when it comes to building ponds. What did you think? Do you feel we made the right choices? And speaking of good decisions, remember to tune in next week to see us build a fire and water fountain display… inside of our retail store! Will everything go according to plan? Or will it be the worst decision I have ever made?! Stay tuned!!
I am building a similar wetland filter: long rectangular shape, sandbags at the bottom, aquablox, gravel on the top, but it has concrete walls. I hope it will also clean my pond. It is nice to see a this big company without a single person in a suit 🙂
That is great. A slight improvment of the test would be to build two similar ponds one with Brian's Bio Balls and one with the traditional rock and gravel, and compare the two. Maybe take the water from a bigger tank and spread it in the two testing ponds for similar starting point.
is aquascape in need of a remote VA or remote office staff? I'd love to work for aquascape! I have ponds & keep all sorts of fish from goldfish, koi, & asian arowana here in the Philippines!
It would be really cool if you guys could build a working wetland filter out of acrylic and have it on display in the front lobby, use it as an visual educational tool for people who come in
I'm sure you;ve thought of this but if the bioballs work I suppose you could make bio cubes or cylinders to get competitive with rocks in price but be a produce sellable by aquascapes.
Hey guys, I have a question about something I spotted at the very end of this. The faux stump behind Brian in the feature that Chris built has a hole cut into it. It looks like that one is designed for covering propane tanks for your fire/water features? I have had an issue with mine (which does not have that opening) causing my pump receivers to overheat & shut down. It only happens when it gets to be >90°F outside, which is only 2-3 times per summer. I've tried cutting air slots in it, but the bigger you go with the cuts, the more it stands out. Thoughts? PS, Brian's Bioballs for the win! 🤣
The faux stump covers come with holes in them for covering propane tanks, and without for covering cords, etc. Try to make sure your smart receiver, if possible, is in the shade and not direct sunlight, even when covered with a faux stump.
Any concern with those bags of sand becoming a very large anaerobic zone with to potential to release harmful gases? How will the water be mechanically filtered or is the hope that the suspended particulates will just settle out in the pool. I really appreciate the experimentation and your willingness to share your results.
Howdy guys, this is a very interesting idea, building a pond inside a building, above ground. have you done very many above ground ponds? I watched a TH-cam video of a homestead/farm, with animals who had a small pond built in their backyard for his son's turtle and fish collection. Was it your company that made their pond? If your company is the one, you did a beautiful job on it. If I ever own a home again in the future, I might just look your company up. I have Redeared sliders
Sorry, but I had to only listen to this and not watch it, the editing with all the small jerky cuts and clips really messed up my eyes and head! But the concept of a pool as a giant filter is awesome, and those pools are cheap!
oh man - i so wanted to enjoy this - totally ruined by the constant music in the foreground background foreground, unwatchable without turning sound off and hitting captions. Terrible Edit.

been following you since day 1 when paul cuffaro was still a kid. :)
Is there a maximum height for the aquablocks and then the rocks above? ditto with the snorkel...

You sir, are a marketing master.
Great idea
You ROCK brian Thanks
Thanks! 🤜🤛
Anxious to see how the water clears up!
Wow! The filtration is so crazy! 👏👏👏👏
It would be amazing to work for such an awesome company!!
Agreed I would love to work with/for them
Love the sand bags and insulation boards. This made my day
I am intrigued to see how well that filter system works. God bless
Brian awesome video! 😊
last year over summer I filled a „Sickerbox“ (equal to an aquablock but bigger) with hel-x to test it out - works pretty good
Brian, I love your new vlog format and content. Very interesting and entertaining. Keep up the great work.
I'd like to see Greg's reaction to the cost, please.
🤣🤣🤣😳
🥰 Love the new “format”‼️ Awesome job thinkin outside the box…if y’all even have a box - I don’t think y’all do 😉 🙋♀️🇨🇱
Thank you!!
This is so cool, I love that you're sharing this journey with us! Can't wait to see what we all learn from this!
Love this!! Future goals for sure🤞
As an employee of Hardyakka land and water scapes these videos have helped me so much ,Australia
Is there an update? I'm having trouble finding it
I dig everything about it Brian, great job outstanding creativity sooo cooool EPIC design knock it out ogf the park once again by TEAM AQUASCAPE
🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷 My home away from home love my island hope you had fun But most important memories

Have you experimented with ozone for ponds? Create an easy system for us homeowners that want to go that route.
driving and making a youtube video.... Adore.!!.. amazing stuff ! beatifull video!
Going to Ponce PR?? Some amazing views around that city. Beautiful sunsets from the beach also. Make sure to make it to Bio Bay at night.
Sometimes you got to think out of the box!

What size pump did you use for this project
Hey why cant we use natural pumic stone instead of bio ball its natural n has far more surface area?
Vait . . . Wut? The other one? That's a lot of Brian's Bio Balls.
How do you clean the filter?
I can't find any follow up video of this experiment😢
That pond does not need 75k in work that’s nuts.
Im surprised you didnt fit one of your rubber liners inside the pool

We left the sand in the bags so no worries there. It’s indoors so no real need for a mechanical skimmer. Thanks
So was the water clear ???
What about lava rock?

We built Daniel and Houston their pond

Any plans to visit Ohio fish rescue?
Only in the top layer of aquablocks.
Problem solving! 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Great video. But you seriously have to do something about those thumbnails. Mouth gap jawed in "surprise"? Not a great look.
sounds as a bacterial infection story in the long way
No that's a filter on steroids
Why not make a plywood pond instead of the pool?i think it's more reliable than the pool pond.
Dongshan Township
Increasing the surface with plasticballs is a terrible idea!
You are contaminating the water with a huge amount of microplastic !
Cool , but that pool won't last 6 months
Longer camera shots. The constant flickering from angle to edit is making me feel like I have adhd
to bad it dont come in pink
