I've been binge-watching Greg's videos for the past 3 days. This by far is my favorite on how much value was put in such a small space.
This is gorgeous. This is what I want in my back yard, but maybe just a little bit bigger pool.
Pandacat 666 i think pool would be correct, wouldn’t it? A pool of water is just a small body of water, usually the product of rainfall.

Man, I haven't had time to watch any videos in a while... But I'm glad I saw this one. Im currently in the works of building my pond, and I'm going with a formal/ ecosystem pond... And literally the design is to be similar, except I'm going for a circular design vs rectangle... Omg I love this, it almost exactly what I was looking to do... 💜💜💜💜💜

I say like $40k to $50k or more .doing them ponds and stuff it not cheap .if you see good size pond and water falls it sell for $100k and more

I have been planning a natural looking saltwater pool but love the idea of something like this as well. Being from the South, however, I always wonder how you keep snakes out.
That is my concern too. Was reading through comments to see if this was addressed.

Water constantly moving...mosquitoes are in stagnant water.
Upside of snake issue- you can see them in this landscape vs. Most ag ponds.
This is something different, I found it quite interesting.

This is one of the very few "biopool" setups I've seen that didn't use any plastic liner at all... in that regards, its a bit of a game changer for our plans.
at 5:49 during the construction you see them lay down the pond liner.

What a beautiful swimming pond. I built one myself with biological filters in the tropics (Thailand). From all ponds I have seen so far, mine is the only one with clear water and it is running like that already for 8 years. I'm planning to put an extra basin for relaxing next to it, but need to figure out to connect it to the main pond. I was thinking of getting a sandfilter, but now I decided to go the same route. I want to have that seperate spot because I had a piece land behind my pond that was just gathering weed. And the fish I have in my pond are hungry and never stop picking on me whenever I'm in the pond. I'ld like to have one section without fish.

i have a question. . . what's the operational cost of that set up a year? or maybe the 'average kWh usage a year' vs actual . . curious because that's near the size of a set up i'm doodle'n right now :)
I think it wan mentioned the pump used is 9,000 gallons per hour - from Amazon , 620 W rating. Is you run this 8 hours per day, 4,960 Wh - at 12 cents per kWh in the US, that’s about 18 dollars per month.

Like that? 40-50k maybe (guessing). It’s the stones that really add up the cost. If you wanted a similar size but didn’t add the stone aesthetic you could certainly do for cheaper. There’s other videos on TH-cam of guys making their own for 15k, sometimes less than 10k (but they don’t look as good as this one does, this is pure art right here)

I am doing an off-grid property. In general, are these pumps the same size as typical pool pumps to achieve sufficient water exchange, or are the pumps smaller since they run 24/7?
I assume the wattage consumption nets out about the same since moving less water all day requires about the same work as moving a lot of water for 8-10 hours a day.

It's absoIutely beautiful but I wonder how much it costs to pump all that water. I assume, for the pool to stay clean it has to be running all the time. Also I'm not sure I could live with that much noise so close to the house, even if it is good noise.
Tips for setting your waterline below grade? I want a nice clean finish around the edges like This and a walkway around the pond but I'm unsure of my waterline and how to do edging at ground level with a walkway right next to the pool.
Would you be able to make that into a saltwater pond? If so I would love to see how that would be done.
I would also be interested to know . By saltwater you mean “sea water salty” and not the salt water pool that is chlorinated by a chlorine generator ? Thanks

I would have tried to purchase the yard behind me by 25' and the length of my property for greater and bigger pond.
