Very nice, and a very big plant! I suggest to use a *wooden* tool to remove the soil from the roots - like a chops stick. That way you can avoid injuring the skin and roots of the plant. Washing of the roots after that, and hanging the plant to dry for a couple of weeks, also helps avoiding any rot. Green thumps to you!
@@deezhang6399 After the flower falls off you'll see two little bumps, if they keep growing you'll get seed pods. Google "adenium seed pod starting" and look at the image results, there are lots of good pics at various stages ;)
@@MartinGentile-fv5sk don’t worry you will know they look like two pencils attached they grow extremely fast. Don’t harvest until you see them start to split. The pods attached are over a foot long. If pollinated they will form after each bloom set. Mine are thick with leaves and needed a trim but I waited for the pods to mature first. You will get about 150 seeds per the twin pods.
I just repotted mine last month. I use crushed lava and pine bark. About 3 to 1.5 ratio. The bark pieces are small. This is the first year I have used this. They are loving it. I toss in slow release 10 10 10 when I use the chop stick. Before I top it off with the final layer of soil. I also mound it up around the caudil so it eventually falls down over the season and exposes the roots slowly. Way cheaper than premixed soils I have tried in the past and here in Florida they seam to love it.
@ghelp, Are those the only ingredients you use, crushed lava and pine bark? That's what I use, but I also add some pumice and/or perlite. I add a small amount of potting soil to keep it from drying out too fast. I use clay pots and don't like having to water it every other day.
Absolutely beautiful plant! I have 9 desert rose. All smaller. Ive had about 3 yesrs now and still learning. I just found your channel and you now have a new subscriber!
Great video. I love your passion and I learned a lot. I have about 6 Desert Roses on order and should have them all in the next few weeks. I'm already obsessed. I'll check out some of your other videos too.

I just found your channel, I've got about 30 adeniums I need to repot and came across your video when I was surfing for ideas. That right there is a beast of an obesum knot, it almost looks like an aribcum with all the trunks. I think root training is overrated, I like the natural look better :) Keep us updated on how it fairs in the new container and growing medium. I'll be back to check out more of your videos as I get a chance.
I just can't believe the roots of this Adenium! Beautiful...how long was it in the pot? I love the natural hugging of the roots, like a Family Hug!!! Great going. You are so invested in your Plants and do a fantastic job. I have 2 so far and am getting Hooked! Thanks for showing your treasures!
My mom loves the desert rose. We live in iowa so it’s not often we find them at garden centers especially those with more unique colors. Last time she went to Texas and Florida and ended up with a bunch of new desert roses 😅
Where did you find a large plant like this ? Unjust getting into them and find it find it challenging. I just bought one this spring at a nursery for 7.99 Mary small but growing no flowers yet.
Once you harvest the seed pods do a massive trim. In about 6 weeks the new branches that are short will explode with flower buds. That’s how they get these beautiful photos.
Man , this is the most interesting root system you’ve shown so far. I can imagine when it really matures , how much more pronounced they will look👍🏻
What a beautiful plant. I think it looks like a mom dad and baby adenium hugging each other! So cool
That’s a beautiful desert rose! I hope to get mine that big! Awesome plant

Couple of weeks??
The plant does not need cross pollination to seed. I have only one plant and it self pollinated to produce a seed pod.
What does the start of a seed pod look like? I am a beginner and trying to figure out what to look for after it blooms. Cheers
long seed pods usually 2 at a time.@@deezhang6399

Awesome! It can take 3-7 years to start getting seed pods as well. It’s a long game! 😂

That is so beautiful . I love it
I just found your channel and I love it.
I love them too. I recently got a red double that I found at Lowe's. Didn't know it was a double or red until it bloomed. ❤
That’s awesome!
😊😊😊 that was amazing thank you for sharing 😊
Thank you!
I have desert rose envy!!
What is the purpose of doing a lift to keep exposing the codex on the Desert Rose?
2 things. Promote mass to the plant and prevent a mass of roots that will hold water and cause root rot

So awesome 👌 🌼 🌸 after watching your vlog. I'm inspired to revive my neglected adenium plants 🪴 . Watching from the Philippines 🇵🇭 😊
Nice score! I'm seeing the video one year later after repotting, wonder how it looks now?
It looks really good! I’ll repot it again in the spring and do a follow up!

I look around a bunch of different nurseries enough so I only find them like this from time to time.
Your garden looks awesome have you ever seen a swazi lily I am in South Africa and just got one
Absolutely beautiful Adenium Obesum and great repotting information. Thank you 😊 🪴💚🌿
What instrument are you using to cut the roots so cleanly
Nice brother. I want to add a couple more desert roses to my collection.
You should
Is that from the antique rose emporium in Brenham?
How long does this rooster system to form like that?
Question if you still remember, but how much did something like that cost you?🤔
Did you do anything with the bottom roots?
great video. we both enjoyed watching it. what program do you use to edit your video?
I use the Pro version of CapCut
Dangggg I’m getting excited to repot mine
Yes!
I love your passion!!!
just re potted about a dozen of mines..good stuff
What size green pot is that?
New subbie from COG Hill ☺️
Howdy!
Great job!
How old do you think this monster is?
I have read that if you let the seed pods mature, it takes so much of the plant's energy that the plant will not bloom good the next year. ??
That has not been my experience

Why wait to water it and I thought it needed full sun?
If you use shallow pot it will make it more girthy instead of tall. Love from India ❤
I’m gonna repot again in the spring. Thanks for the tip!
@@texasgardenguy 😊
Nice job bro
Wow that is gorgeous! How old is it?
The ones that I have of this size are 5-7 years old
@@garybrauckman5299 NICE!!!
How old do you guess that beauty is?
Can I ask how much you paid for this beauty?
You can't graft Jade plants!
They grow readily from seed or cuttings
👍 That’s awesome!
COOL AMAZING
Thank you!
Прекрасно. Но ничего не понятно. Из России смотрю. Хотелось бы послушать с переводом на русском. Спасибо🙏💕
Nice 👌
Thanks 😊
Would like to see it in bloom
I have got to remember the cinnamon.
