    My adenium plant started shrinking after repotting! I have checked the roots it’s in good shape! What advice can you give in this matter! Thanks a lot! Your video’s are helping a lot 😊

      This happens in both cases - Overwatering and Underwatering. As you have repotted recently, look like overwatering or soil is holding water for much longer time. If possible do these things - Take out the plant and keep in shade for next 5-7 days. Once everything is dry, repot it again with fresh soil mix. Doing this we can save an overwaterd plant (For more info, please refer this video - th-cam.com/video/aDXziQ6hswM/w-d-xo.html). But in case, soil is too much dry, then you need to water it. Hope, it helps and thank you so much for your feedback, much appreciated!

    Help me with my adeniums. I have 7-8 adenium. And none of them flowers. 2 are big caudex and rest were baby grafted which never grew caudex. 3new adenium rotted this year since I let them remain in clay soil as they were budding when I bought thsm. My mistake since I do not know how to water when plant is in clay soil.
    I love them but unable to grow them. This year I gave them 90% sand and 10% Vermicompost. I added DAP every 2 months but no flowers. I applied 0:52:34 as advised by one channel, no flowers. What am I doing wrong. 1) Why is caudex not growing. I water when soil is dry. 2) why they are not flowering. I get sunshine morning till 11:30 am in summers and 1:30 pm in winters.
    They all grow leaves and multiple branches. Currently 2 smaller adenium caudex is soft. I am exhausted with them.

      Sorry to hear about your experience. Some issue in the soil mix. You are adding 90% Sand and 10% Vermisompost. So, the plants actually don't get anything to grow. Sand doesn't contain any nutrients. You can try my soil mix but please note that, adding Basacote is must. Or else, they won't grow as my potting soil mix also doesn't have any nutrients. Because of continuous rainfall, I have stopped using Garden soil. But if you like, you can try another potting soil mix while repotting -
      50% Sand + 30% Garden soil + 20% Vermicompost + 25 grams Bone meal + 25 grams Neem cake powder + bit fungicide
      This also works well. Please avoid using DAP for Adenium, doesn't help at all. I have tried using it. Once they start to grow, definitely Caudex would be also grown. It takes time though :-( I would do videos on Caudex very soon. Wish you all the best!

      @@GardeningUpbeatthanks for your reply. Channels recommend not giving lot of compost or else they will grow only leaves and no flowers. Channels recommend lots of DAP for heavy flowering. I will try your recommendations.
      I will change the soil mix to your recommendations for two adeniums this week which are not growing at all. I will change soil mix of others in spring next year as by October end, all adeniums go into hibernation here due to cold nights. Meanwhile I will add more compost to them.
      They are simple plants but somehow I am unable to get it. Thanks again.

    The leaves of my adenium are yellowing and falling off. How do I prevent it?
    Context : I have bought this adenium of late and have repotted it in a shallow pot using a media of Soil, Sand, Vermicompost, Gravels, Bonemeal & Perlite.

    When should I add fertilizer after hard pruning, haven't seen any new growth?

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Adenium is a slow growing plant..so, it takes time..For example, I pruned one of my plant on 5th March (th-cam.com/users/shorts1YnARip9X4E). Can see new growths which are around 1 inch long. I have also repotted my plant once.
      Fertilizing - Once in 30-45 days is more than enough..

    How old should the plant be to start flowering? I had got a small seedling in 2020. So my plant is 3 yrs old now and has undergone pruning 4 times to get more stems. It now has 6 stems.

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  ปีที่แล้ว

      3years is more than enough and usually they bloom within 1 year. As you are pruning, look like it's taking time to prune. Anyway, after October they would stop blooming and then again it would start around Feb Mid-End. Hope, you would get flowers next year..wish you all the best!

      At this time of year, flowering would be bit less unless you are from a place which Adenium prefers..There should be a temp difference between daytime and nighttime..Even same thing is happening here in my place. They are budding..but not blooming heavily like they do in Feb-April and in Sept-Nov..Plus, continuous rainfall is troubling them a lot :-(

    Sir I don't agree with u in one point That's using coco peat
    It's a desert plant and already stores water in its caudex So shouldn't use coco peat in Adeniams as well as in any bulb grown plants The best season is Summers Do hard pruning and treat them with Growth mix and flowering booster (both are slow releasing fertilizers) on alternative months 👍🙏

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  ปีที่แล้ว

      If other things are working for you, please continue doing the same. Since I am not using any Garden Soil, Cocopeat won't harm. Adenium is a drought-resistant plant but it does need water....since other components in my potting soil mix can't hold water, used the Cocopeat. Thank you and Sir is not necessary actually :-)

    Giving advice that mentions brands of products has no value if the intended audience is outside the country of origin. Please use generic names in the future.

      Agree...that is why I usually provide the alternatives! Actually, bit difficult to refer generic products. But, I would make sure to provide more info about the products I use..mainly, which components they are going to provide!
