I have an older Cressi MC9 Titanium reg set. Balanced but not sealed first stage, non-balanced second stage. Works great in warm or cold water (haven't used it in extreme cold or under ice). Lightweight for travel. I've been very happy with it and the matching octo. It does take on a little water when upside down though. Still, for a solid reg set for not alot of money, great for taking to the islands.
A little more expensive is a Micron, but I love these regs. Balanced and sealed first, balanced second. Lightweight for travel, small profile, works in any orientation. I've used this on a pony under ice with no problems and as one of my reg sets for side mount. For the price I think the Micron is a great reg set.

TUSA RS-790. Would love to see a similar single review of the TUSA RS-790, 1st and 2nd stage.

The Apeks in the best. But all are very smooth scuba pro is very smooth too. but if you dive cold water Apeks. they are all mid -high end ones though.

I have the Apeks and the Oceanic Zeo. I love the Zeo and it breaths a little easier then the Apeks. It may just be the swivel just makes it more comfortable on long dives. I have used the Zeo at 127’ 37 degree water with zero issues. I swapped for one dive with the scuba pro with a friend that wanted to try my Zeo and He said it was a good reg just preferred scuba pros. I may swap out the second stage on the 200 with a XTX 50 to see if any change as I do love my tec3s on my doubles.

The mares. The air goes around all the internal mechanics so the flow is more smooth. It's definitely the king of smooth breathing but harder to service. So for Tec and cave divers it is not the go-to-regulator.

I don't thing the xtx 200 is a mid range regulator, I think it's high end, only the titanium but that's the same as the xtx 200 only the material,
    Thanks!

And is internal the same as the xtx 40/50/100. From 50 and up, I think it's more high end than mid range....

You mist one of the biggest features of the Cressi Master!
It´s specially designed for diving professionals.
It´s easy to open, with just one screw, so a dive master can clean the membrane etc. pretty easy!

Same for the xtx200 as well. That is why the xtx line is so danm populair by Tec and cave divers.
