    Thanks for the video. That was perfect it answer one of the questions I had. I was adding an octopus and I moved my primary that was in the back to front and the Octopus to the rear. My scuba shop had everything in the back holes. No big deal but it appears the front is better. Thanks

    5:39 yes, it is very advisable to connect it to a cylinder before you go diving !!

    This was a great video. In My Apeks MTX RC manual they say tighten with 46Nm. Is that what you are doing? 46Nm sounds quite high to me.

    The plugs have O ring. Do the high and low pressure hoses have O rings on them ?

    Some people suggests using lubricants when assembling regulators. Do we really have to?

    Hello guys i need some help.. I am using Aqualung Titan LX requlator and by an accident it got a pretty hard hit on the first stage. I opened them on a shop with a professional but we were not able to find exactly were the damage is. Any way if i buy any other 1st stage from Aqualung or Apeks am i gonna have a problem ? Is it going to be dangerous ?

      Any Aqua~Lung first stage should work. Another Titan would be a natural match, but you might want to upgrade to a Legend 1st stage if it fits your budget.

    hi do you sugest any lub while assemble ??? regards

      Silicon grease will be best. Just a warning though, it does have hydrocarbons and is therefore flammible when in contact with high levels of O2, but only if its air that is 60% O2 or something. So it won't be a problem with the average diver

      No, do not use any lubricant when assembling your regulator. You want a tight friction fit on the hoses so they don't become loose with use.

    Is he recommending to pretest fifteen cycles on the reg before each dive or just on new equipment as a commissioning / burn in test?

    this is very informative. dummy question - so both regulator and octo need low pressure hoses and BCD / gauge will need high pressure correct?

    • @orhanrujevic3778
      @orhanrujevic3778 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      BCD is a low pressure hose as well. gauges and transmitters go to high pressure.

    There’s a hole that says 300 bar 4500 psi. What should go in there?

      Air cylinder is the only thing it could be.

    many p How orts are there for first stage .how many low n high pressure ports n which fits in second stage n octopus

    • @bdtrap
      @bdtrap 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on the specific 1st stage.
      You can get an inexpensive 1st stage for $100 with 1 HP port and 2 LP ports, or a 2 High / 5 Low for $250. If you're not using a transmitter, then 1 HP will probably be fine. If you're solo diving or are okay w "buddy breathing," then you'd only need 2 Low Pressure - one for BCD and one for 2nd stage.
      There are other considerations like piston/diaphragm, balanced/unbalanced, etc.
