I’ve watched so so many videos on how to photograph all clothing, you are the 1st to make this video. You have helped me move along when I was stuck. Thank you so so much! Very easy to understand! Again, thanks girl!
Great video, I started reselling like two months ago and I have noticed so many mistakes I made like not including measurements or not enough photos, so now I am going back and relisting, especially when I don’t have new items to post. You’re videos are very helpful
thank you so much for doing these tutorials, i learnt so many tips just watching this video. i live in australia and started selling on ebay to pay down debt ( we dont have poshmark or mercari here), just wanted you to know your generousity in sharing your knowledge is very much appreciated. cant wait for the next one. take care xx
Aww thank you so much for the lovely comment Laura! I’m so glad I could help out even just a little 🤗❤️ EBay is such a great way to bring in some extra money. That’s so amazing! Working towards paying off debt is such a huge step 🎉 so happy for you! Can’t wait to put out some more content for you to help you along your journey ❤️ take care and stay safe down there in Oz!
Thanks girl 🤗❤️ it’s a learning process that’s for sure, but this is just what works best for me now. I’m sure my processes will evolve over time to be even more efficient 🎉
I love this video cause is actually step by step and realistic behind scenes work for small business. Thankyou Essential Endeavours, we really appreciate you doing videos like this!! 👍
Aww yay!!! Thanks Daniela 🤗❤️ I’m definitely trying my best haha might be dedicating too much time to it right now but it’s been so much fun creating content 🎉 of course!!! It’s the least I could do for all the help you guys have given me with the podcast 🤗 I appreciate you taking the time to watch me! Maybe one of these days we can do some sort of collab?! 🎉❤️
Aww you are so welcome! Thank you for watching and I’m so glad I could help 🤗❤️ yeah some things just look better flat laid. I’m sure at some point I’ll need to get a table for flat lays so I don’t have to get up and down on the floor, but for now it works 🥰
Aww yay I’m so glad I could help 🥰 sending you positive vibes for your new adventure! Feel free to leave comments with questions you have along the way and Id love to help ❤️ I also offer one-on-one tutoring/consultations on my website at www.essentialendeavours.com if you need that sort of help later down the road 🥰 thanks for watching!!!
You’re very well organized and have great attention to details. 👍 The time lapse music 🎶 was ever so relaxing; would be great to listen to while driving on an open road on a sunshiny ☀️ day. 😀
Aw thank you so much! I enjoy fun little snippets of music here and there, haha I try to incorporate it as much as I can. I don't do many time lapses nowadays haha, I definitely need to! Thanks so much for going back and watching my older videos 😊🎉
I love doing flat lays for jeans and jackets, but at 68 I have a hard time get down on the floor! Lol I also find that mens long sleeved shirts look better hanging!
Haha yes I hear you on that one! I’m actually now doing most things hanging 🥰 (as this video is one of my oldest ones). I also try to model some clothing pieces when I can. But most of the time I’ll just snap pics hanging (jeans now too and I don’t measure everything anymore). Lol!
Yup that's me no more down ward dog 😂😂😂 can't get up. I have table for non clothes and I hang up clothes but they seem to come out dark. I put them against my wall.
I use a similar approach for taking pictures, but I've putting on a square table and standing on a chair. Why? - I have no idea. I should try the floor. I definitely need to get better about measuring with the photos instead of typing all of that in the description - I like how you show a closeup of the measuring tape. Two things that I don't have are a white background (I have cream and light grey, but I can see that they could skew the color) and lights. The lights would give me more flexibility for when I take pictures. Very helpful video! I visited your Etsy site - LOVE the designs. Bison brought me right back to a favorite trip to Wyoming. Any plans for t-shirts that are designed for women in the future?
Hi Kay Dee! Thanks so much watching! I am sure the table and chair method works just as well :) basically the same concept but I just use my square table for shipping lol. Yes! So I actually take the pictures but I have a template I use for my listings so as I am editing my pictures, I just scroll down, type in the number real quick, super easy! I will show that on my video on Thursday :) My blanket it actually like a cream as well, but the lights are so bright that it makes it look almost white (that along with brightening up my pics a touch). Thanks so much for checking us out! All of our current shirts are actually unisex sizing, so they’re for both women and men. Our coral and Caribbean blue flag tee has been the most popular with women so far, and it’s definitely one of my favorites :) But they are a more relaxed fit. However, we will be coming out with more women-specific shirts (more fitted tees and tanks) within the next month or two along with more feminine designs. I will definitely keep you posted and highlight them every once in a while on TH-cam as well :) We are also working on our official website as well, we are anticipating to go live with that by the end of the month! Anyway, thanks again for your support and lovely comment :) Take care and hope to chat with you soon!
One of the reasons I take photos with the measuring tape is that I feel it gives more "legitimacy" to the measurement if that makes sense???? I would rather the buyer "see" the measurements rather than just take it from me reading them in the descriptions :)
Absolutely! Definitely makes buyers feel more comfortable when they can compare those measurements to their items and can visually verify they are indeed those numbers, great point, Tracey! :) and sometimes people don't read the descriptions so at least they will have seen the measurements in the pictures and vice versa.
You got a great system 👍🏽 you also take great photographs. Thank you for sharing how you do things, it helps me as I compare and modify how I do things in order to increase my own efficiency.
Aww thanks so much 🤗❤️ I definitely do my best! This was one of my first videos so my process has changed a bit now - now I primarily do hanging pictures for tops and jackets and then flat lays for pants and bottoms 🤗 just to save a bit on time 💁♀️
As soon as you said me and my husband I subscribed 😅 🙋🏽♀️ Me and my husband are starting a clothing brand. Thank you for sharing, wishing you all the success in your journey 😊
Congratulations! That’s amazing 🤗 we did our shirts for awhile but moved on from that endeavour! It was fun to learn a new skill and try our hand at it 🥰 best of luck to you and thanks for watching!
I really like your superman pose for the clothing, mine usually always look like stick up. The pictures were always way to wide when they were just out straight.
Such a great video. My wife and I just started reselling this year and still trying to learn. This has been helpful! Thanks!! I would love to learn how you and your husband started the clothing store. Who you use for the tshirt and product design. Will you be making a video on what you two did?
So glad it was helpful 🤗 we ordered out shirts through a local screen printing company at the time and later got into dye sublimation at home and got all the equipment and everything. We did have to open an LLC to get a resell license to be able to buy blank shirts at a steep discount. We did it for a little over a year and are no longer in the shirt making game haha we focus our free time on DIY projects now while slowly selling all our old inventory ☺️
I love watching your videos!! You just seem real and down to Earth. You can always tell when someone is only out for themselves but you are out to help others, rare quality in today's world!! Thank you for the awesome videos! I was wondering if you ever thought to use a mannequin or do you think the items are better laying down or hanging up? Just wondering for my personal resells! The only thing I noticed wrong with this video as opposed to your other videos, the volume was off on this video. Probably because you were hands on away from the phone/speaker but it was harder to hear at certain times. Thanks again for being amazing!
This is amazing advice thank you I’m new to selling clothes and it’s helped lots p.s do you have a mannequin? As it would help with some of the harder to move brands... just a thought I found one on the curb and has sold a jumper or 2 :)
I was going to get a mannequin but decided against it because it's a bit creepy 😂 But tons of my reselling friends have one and they help with making great pictures as well! Thank you for watching 🎉
I use latest Smartphone to take picture and they still kinda blurry. I use 1:1 ratio Samsung s23 phone . Any suggestions why they come come out blurry when I upload them?

I just subscribed to your site and watched the video of staging and taking pictures. You ended that video with uploading from your SD disc to your hard drive and said that your next video was going to be how you post everything on ebay. I can't find that and I'm not sure how to search in my subscription your subscription to find it
Thanks for sharing this video! I noticed the blanket you linked isn’t the same one you have, yours appears to be a minky blanket with little nubs? Can you like where you got yours?
Hey there! Thanks so much for watching 🥰 yes so I actually got mine from a Walmart years ago and i have no idea the brand of it so I just found something similar 🤗 you don’t need the exact one, just a light color is nice! But I don’t even use it very much anymore and just take it on a contrasting background and then remove the background to make it pure white 🎉🥰
Hi Chani! It is called "Vendoo" it is a cross-listing software that I use and a lot of other resellers. It is so helpful! You can get 5 listings for free to try them out and if you like them, I have a 25% off discount for your first month :) vendoo.co/register?via=essentialendeavours Hope this helps! Happy listing! :)
Any advice. I create tutu dresses, dresses for children. I have manakins. The lighting in my apartment sucks. My pictures do not come out well in my apartment even with my ring light, not do I like the outside pics. Any advice?
Aww so glad this video could help you! Reds and oranges can be tricky sometimes. I’ll usually play around with the settings on my camera and if that still doesn’t work I’ll try and just use my phone 🤗 I’ll usually make a comment in the description of the picture too letting the buyer know which picture is true to color in person 🥰 hope this helps!
Ahh, I wish you could! I've started using Photoroom now for pure white backgrounds :) here's my video on it, hopefully you find it helpful as well th-cam.com/video/Z2ahA3C_fSk/w-d-xo.html Thanks for watching!!! :)
@@EssentialEndeavours thank you for responding! I saw on your video that you selected so many of the pics at the same time were you lighten up the pics?
You can take pictures in a 1:1 ratio on any camera or latest smartphone :) I would suggest doing that now for all platforms you sell on (I have been doing that for nearly 6 months now and so glad I have it saves SO much time) :)
Hi thanks so much for watching 🤗🎉 I use a free editing software to edit all my pictures at once called Photoscape X! The info on that is here: 14:31 - 18:40 🤗 best of luck!
I measure with my iPhone and then take a screen shot, I’m so happy that Poshmark lets you add up to 16 photos. Do you find it better to use your camera than your phone?
I know I am so glad they have finally updated that! 8 pictures just was not enough. How do you measure with your iPhone? With the measuring tool app? I can't for the life or me get that thing to work lol. For me, it is just way easier to use the camera cause I can just plug in the SD card and do a batch upload, and edit and then I work from there when listing (I have to use my desktop computer to list, when I have to use my phone....I am horrifically slow!) And I just set my phone aside when I take pictures otherwise I get distracted haha. Hope this helps :)

I’ll usually play around with the settings on my camera and if that still doesn’t work I’ll try and just use my phone 🤗 I’ll usually make a comment in the description of the picture too letting the buyer know which picture is true to color in person 🥰 hope this helps!
@@EssentialEndeavours It does help... Thanks!
Hi, great informative video but can you convert photos to white backgrounds as a "batch" with this software??? Thanks!
Ahh, I wish you could! I've started using Photoroom now for pure white backgrounds :) here's my video on it, hopefully you find it helpful as well th-cam.com/video/Z2ahA3C_fSk/w-d-xo.html Thanks for watching!!! :)
Super 🎉 thank you!
Thanks for video pretty ☺️😊☺️
Thanks!
What is the white background you use was that a sheet or a blanket
It’s just a cream colored blanket that I grabbed from Walmart forever ago 🤗 any white/cream colored blanket would work!
@@EssentialEndeavours thank you for responding! I saw on your video that you selected so many of the pics at the same time were you lighten up the pics?
@@felicianelson654 yes I used Photoscape X which you can download for free on your computer 😊
I love this!!! Tha nk you
Love your videos, how do you keep the pics together for the items?
Old school Brittani video!! Althogh closed captioning said Brittany, lol
Hahaha super old school! Lol I wonder if there’s a way I could correct that for all my videos 😱🧐
How do you deal with square mode in poshmark? I have a mirrorless cam I wanna use in taking pics
You can take pictures in a 1:1 ratio on any camera or latest smartphone :) I would suggest doing that now for all platforms you sell on (I have been doing that for nearly 6 months now and so glad I have it saves SO much time) :)
I love this video. It would be lovely to be able to get up and down as you do. Terrific photos!
Oh gosh I’m definitely not doing that much anymore! You could just do hanging pictures, it’s much easier 🥰🎉 thank you so much for watching!!
Great job 👏
Thanks so much 🤗
Hi, may i know the app. That you use to edit the pictures?thank u😊
Mary Jill Erestain hi Mary! Yes I start talking about it at 14:31 ❤️ it’s called Photoscape X
Hello, with your camera, do you have to use any filters or photo apps?
Essential Endeavours lol, I can never find the measure so I ask Siri to open it,(good old Siri)
Lol yes she’s a lifesaver that’s for sure!
One of your links for lighting comes back as page unavailable.. can you tell me the name or brand or give a new link
Aw sorry about that! I don’t know why that happens 😭 but here is the link for the lighting 🤗 amzn.to/34LoHJc
