I have this exact model. It's really good but a few things to note - When you put 2 enduro bikes on it they will rub/touch together. I've lost paint on my chain-stay and my fork stanchions because of the rubbing. Also I think I will sell it and buy a new rack where the bike grab-clamp goes over the tyre instead of the top tube because I've now got a few paint scratches from the clamp on my frame. This model is good though with the lights on the back and it easily fits in the back of my Mazda 3 hatch with the rear seats popped down
A warning to anyone looking at this rack that has a modern mountain bike. This will not fit a modern trail or enduro bike because the straps are too close to the middle of the rack and the straps are too short to reach around the wheel. I bought this rack and it doesnt fit any of the 5 mountain bikes that we have in our garage of which two are trail bikes and three are enduro bikes with tyres ranging from 27.5x2.4" to 29x2.6". None of them fit. I contacted Thule support and they suggested that I pay an extra $80 to buy the XXL straps so that I can actually strap the wheels down. Really upset with this product and considering that Thule states that these racks can support "mountain bikes and ebikes" on their website yet they dont provide straps that are long enough out of the box is just laughable and a slap in the face to the consumer. Feel free to ask questions if you wanna know more info.
Hi Johnny! Is it possible to drive with this bike rack on a tow bar into an underground garage or a multi-storey mall parking lot? or will it hit the ground? I'm thinking about it for two (924) or three (926) bikes . What's your opinion, Johnny?
In Europe is it a law that a hitch mounted bike rack must have lights? I haven't see this model in the U.S. but I think it's a very good idea to have lights on a rack like this regardless... It's not a law in the U.S. for some reason.
I was very nervous putting my brand new beach cruiser on this rack. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxG6JIgwJhur8_Rg8UeQ3EmePzi_wSncL8 But after reading many reviews I decided to get this one and take a chance. When arrived it was very simple to adjust and put together. I also added spike tape over the metal hooks before securing and tightening the straps, and no scratches. I also purchased the top bar made by the same company so that my cruiser sits straight on the rack without having to turn upside down. Extra bungee cords are used to secure the front wheel from flapping and even piece of mind knowing your bike is secure. Definitely recommend...
Actually you have to drop the U-bar down into place, only then it can't come forward anymore while on the road! Drop it about 1cm, then tighten it up. When you want to fold it again, open the bolts, pull the U-bar up and lay it flat.

Hi, not gone in a multi-storey with it to be honest. However I would not think it would pose a problem.

In the UK if a bike rack covers all or part of your licence plate and/or lights, you need a separate lightboard.
Would it be legal without a number plate on the carrier ?

No. You have to tighten it up.

Is it wide enough for tires 3.00 inches ?
Hi, The widest part of the rack measures 7cm, which is approx 2.75 inches. So I guess not ideal for the larger tyre. Hope that helps.
