I actually had a time where I lived on my own and could barely walk from a knee injury. I could bike quite well, but not long distances. And I absolutely couldn't stand on a train. So when it was full I always took reserved seats and got a lot of bad looks for it. One time an elderly couple asked me to move. I tried explaining that I couldn't stand for a while, but it was no good. The husband was very angry. Because there was no free seats around I just sat on the floor, because I literally could not stand in the moving train. Welp, he did at least apologize when he saw me limping.
