The fact that Dave recorded the first Foo album alone, in the same room Nirvana recorded their last is haunting...
and it is the best ff album. it has an amazing vibe and sound.

didn't know that, it amazed me that kurt got to listen to some foo fighter songs!
"Exhausted" is Foo Fighter's best tune.
For sure I remember getting the first fii album and I loved it. The album did this process that was really cool to hear and then the last track Exhausted I also believe and agree was the best.
Interesting! Didn't know he got the chance to listen to FF songs. Its different when you're singing vs playing an instrument cause you're putting more of yourself in it, so makes sense he'd be shy about asking to change the lyrics.

Geez, Kurt's final days recording mirror those of Layne Staley nearly exactly. The band played & recorded throughout the day, then Layne would slink in at night to lay down the vocals. So sad. Such incredible talent, but what a way to go out, for both of them.

it is. it's easy to replicate above the nut. I guess if you remember the band being weird you might remember something from years ago with rose-colored glasses. however. it's super easy to make that sound without steel drums and with a guitar either above the nut or below the bottom bridge that holds the strings in place.

It's below the bridge of his jaguar. That's a feature people like about jaguar and jazzmaster tremolos.

I always thought it was "sterling silver begins to melt." As in heroine use. Which is what he was known to abuse when he needed to mask his physical pain. And the chorus is him screaming and repeating the world pain. So it always made sense to me. Could always be wrong though. And the "I feel so warm and calm inside" is indicative of an heroine or opiate high. But I could be reaching. lol

I was 7 back in ‘94, I owned a cassette of bleach, nevermind, and immediately got the Unplugged cassette as well. Definitely a favorite band for me! And I was gifted with you know you’re right in my teens! I gotta say it has amazing quality and to me is true nirvana at its best!
The lyrics on "You Know You're Right" (both the original live lyrics and the finalized recorded lyrics) obviously paint a picture of his failing marriage to Courtney and like her the picture wasn't PRETTY (on the inside as well). Courtney herself told Tom Grant over a recorded phone conversation (that she wasn't told was being recorded at that time which was shortly before and after Kurt's death) that Kurt was going to divorce Courtney and that "I'd win in a custody battle" and also told their then Entertainment Lawyer Rosemary Carroll to "get the most vicious and meanest divorce attorney you can get" (or something along those lines?). Kurt's lyrics tell the story that it was ending between them. Courtney was caught cheating on Kurt with Evan Dando of The Lemonheads, Billy Corgan, Trent Reznor (pretty sure she was sleeping with him while Kurt was alive) and I strongly assume others. Kurt was just about to be free of the ugly duckling whore that was an embarrassment to him and was never trustworthy (ask her first husband James Moreland how she tried burning him alive while sleeping and paying thugs $200 to beat him up cause he didn't do what she said. Or Isiah Silva how her and the goons like Osama Lufti and the Asian fella who played on the Netflix show "13 Reasons Why" and other's to kidnap, assault in a physical and verbal sense, then murder him TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE A SUICIDE. Sound familiar!?). I'm sure everyone is just lying on poor ol' Courtney. She's just an innocent and perfect angel that is a victim of people randomly lying on her for no good reason. That's very logical. It can't be that Courtney Love murders people who get in her way of millions of dollars (Kurt divorcing her and proving cheating on him while having a pre nuptial agreement at their wedding and Isiah Silva having the acoustic guitar that Kurt played at the MTV Unplugged show that recently $old for over $6 million dollar$ 💰. Nah.... Can't be.

She seems narccisitic and they were both addicts with infinite money to feed the addiction. Kurt was using it to mask the physical pain he was going through. He often disappeared and wasn't reliable. You leave out SO much context in order to drive your narrative. And you use truths, and half truths to jump to the conclusion that she murdered him, when it is just as, if not far more feasible he took his own life. His bandmates, close friends and family members think he took his own life, and were saddened by not shocked.
Who am I going to believe? His family and friends who actually knew him, or some random conspiracy brained weirdo online, using cherry picked facts, a revisionist history and leaving out so much context to come to your conclusion that she murdered him? I will go with the former. I am sure there are plenty of places for your wild skitzo posting, but let the guy rest in peace, holy hell.
