you do know , that when it comes to the installation of that tank.....you got the best vid showing details . good stuff meng im buyiing my tank soon . i will put transfer pumps and just use one tank as the main
Great job! I love those old IDIs they are so simple and reliable. You fixed it 100 percent, that’s the only correct way to fix that problem. Some advice with the IDI, maintain your coolant , they are known to get pinhole leaks in the cylinder from not replacing the coolant every 3-5 years, also if you ever have to change the water pump,do not nix up where the bolts go the top upper 2 bolts go into the timing cover and line up with the cam gear, installing longer bolts there will destroy the engine. That’s a great truck ,I’d love to have something similar but here in upstate Ny nothing lasts that long ,road salt gets it.
How about that EPA 😂 That's what I'm talking about son!!! Merica 🇺🇲 sidenote on the tractor. I bought a brand new Kubota l2501 a few years back. I put 5k down to get there 0% financing... it's only 200 bucks a month ol son!!! Worth every penny! I use it for everything and some.
Colt, you definitely need a tractor with that size property, videos for the channel and your hunting camp. Financing on tractor dealers in my AO constantly run zero percent for 48 month offers.y Kubota Grand L with cab and loader has been solid. Only regret is I didn’t go 60HP. I went for the 54HP.
Never disappointed!! Finally got a chance to watch this video and hell yes brother! Good damn job on that install brother! Pinkies up, call for another fuggin latte!!
@COLTSWAY hell of a time! Sent 3 teams , 2nd, 6th, and 7th overall out of 65 teams and we had 2 apprentices show out. Think they pulled 3rd and 4th overall out of like 160 apes. Plenty of fun times, damn good food and fuggin lattes 🔨.
Fuel gauge is pegged because of too much resistance in the wiring. A break in the wire or too much dialectic grease because that grease is not conductive. Best not to use grease. Look for green puss on pins in plug. It’s a common issue with the gauge. Otherwise change the sending unit. Wire interruption most likely at plug
I do things my way too and 20 years ago I took the gas tank off a 1975 Eldorado and had no idea what the vent tube was on the top of the tank so I filled it with silicone to keep debris from getting into tank. Turns out without the open vent tube a vacuum was created in the tank so now I have to back off my gas cap to let air in behind the fuel leaving the tank. You’ll know if u have a problem when you open the gas cap after running the vehicle and you hear the air rushing into the tank. Not sure what the ultimate failure would be to the fuel supply but I never wanted to find out.
Ran the garmin tactic Charlie for about 5 years, left it on my tire and ran it over. Still works but casing broke. Upgraded to the garmin fenix 7x pro. Best watch I’ve had. 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
classicdieseldesigns.com/products/38-gallon-bronco-tank-conversion-kit I got the one that has the built in sump. Need to click it on the drop down box. 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
I think Ronin makes one, that’s either the company or product name. It’s been a minute since I ordered one, sorry I’m not much help. Gives you a start point anyway.
@@COLTSWAY just figured out there are two brown/white wires running to the back of the truck. One of them is the rear fuel pump. I had them crossed when I repaired the harness, the previous owners dog chewed the whole wiring harness in half right near the transmission.
Only youtuber I feel compelled to crack a latte with. BUSHHH.
Love that even though you've got nicer and newer trucks, you still show love to the ole IDI

Good job. That's dirty work.
Not sure, but I believe it originally had 8 bed bolts, so the holes you said you weren’t sure about are bolt holes!
That’s right! They got that gooseneck welded under there and had removed them when they did that. 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
Hey colt do you not have concern for not having a water separator?
Nice to see ya geek

Hey Colt, is there a better 2020 Super crew AM antenna? 👊🏼
I think Ronin makes one, that’s either the company or product name. It’s been a minute since I ordered one, sorry I’m not much help. Gives you a start point anyway.
Cheers
You may want to throw that rusted up skid plate back on under the tank. It’s better than nothing.
Takes one to know one. 😂
