I have 2020 with them frozen. I did not go hard enough for the "pop," but they are slightly different. Thanks for the video, and if anyone knows more about the 2020, please let us know!
I had the same exact issue with the f150LEDs. I thought about trimming the inner ring but hesitated. I guess I’m pulling the headlights out again but hopefully I can recreate your solution. Thanks again!
Thank you .. for posting this ... I am so frustrated with F-150LED ... I have the same kit and all the same problems ... huge savings finding this post ... again thank you
This explains so much. No wonder my efforts to lower my cutoff line had an opposite effect. I just ordered new LED bulbs and I would have blinded oncoming drivers until I figured out how to fix the adjusters. Thank you for being so thorough!
You’re an absolute genius. I was adjusting my drivers side light and heard the pop. Of course the dealership told me it was broke. (The price was close to what you said) I had another mechanic tell me the same thing. I found a new set left and right from a kid that put aftermarket’s on. I was fortunate, but if had seen this video first, I would have saved a few hundred bucks. Great video!
Thank you for the outstanding information. I just did this to my truck and what a difference. I am able to finally adjust my lights. What a relief, still testing at night. The info you gave is worth millions. Because it actual save you hundreds. Great Video
Great video. I also have a 2017 F-150 with the same issue on the drivers side. I also have the same LED’s which I made the same mod to. When I get time I’ll work on fixing the adjuster. This is the best video describing this issue. Thanks for taking the time to show us.
Thanks for posting this. Gave me an idea of how this adjustment works. In my case the adjustment gear that gets turned by a screwdriver got chewed up. Unfortunately the 2018 F150 is a little different. You can’t access that beige piece at the rear of the adjustment mechanism, it’s a solid piece not a hex. I was however able to rotate the adjustment mechanism like I was removing it to access the gear that pushes and pulls and rotate that with a screw driver.
Anyone know if the adjuster piece can be removed on a 2019? I have this problem but can't see if the adjuster is able to be removed, and haven't found anything online for my setup.

Hopefully someone here has some knowledge. Check the forums too.

Good info for anyone with that generation, appreciate it.
thanks for sharing your experience
I'm here for ya.
Yes yes I have the same LEDs had to do the exact same thing. Too bad they tell you this when you buy them. Nice job man 💯
They do have a video on their website showing how to do this, but didn't exactly make it obvious this was necessary when purchasing.

Not sure about the '19. Another commenter had something to say about that generation below. Might be able to tell you more.
how do you adjust the high beam ?
High beam housing is non-adjustable.
