    The slash and spread is better the flare falls evenly. The free hand method if you add to much to the side seam it will not distribute evenly and with flap on the side seam

    If we are cutting on lace fabric .the down side I mean the lace edges are going to trim it off and add it back .am talking about the (eti aje)

    • @TaylorMadeDesignsSewing
      @TaylorMadeDesignsSewing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No you don’t have to trim the scallops I mean if that the looks for going for

  • @euchariadonokolo714
    @euchariadonokolo714 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Thanks for this tutorial. Pls Why Was the slash on the center front different from the back. I mean the way you slash the front at the kneel area is not same with the back. On the front panel, u only slash through one side of the kneel area while at center back, u slash through both sides.
    Thanks.

    • @TaylorMadeDesignsSewing
      @TaylorMadeDesignsSewing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello thank you for watching. The reason why I slash towards the side of the front and not towards the center front is because I did want to distort the shape of the center front. If you spread the front it’s going to look weird because it is going to be protruding and you want the front to lay flat while most of the fullness is at the side and back, I hope you understand what I mean

    • @TaylorMadeDesignsSewing
      @TaylorMadeDesignsSewing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello it depends on how much flare you want and what size you are. The trick I use is multiplying my hip by two or three to find out how much fabric I need for my flare. Best taylorMade

    • @TaylorMadeDesignsSewing
      @TaylorMadeDesignsSewing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Try cutting the pattern on a cheap fabric to see the fit then you can make the necessary adjustment. You could use crinoline to give it the wavy look at the bottom

    Hello, I just had a quick question, I wanted to know what's the difference between bring the darts up 1.5 or 1 inches? which one would be a better fit if I wanted my skirt to hug my shape.. Im 13:54 minutes into your video :P

    • @TaylorMadeDesignsSewing

      1.5 inch is ok. Remember to come down at the front . It helps to eliminate gaping
