Yeah, I always hate it when outfits are tied to stats. You want the appearance of one thing but the stats of another. I wish that you could simply upgrade your stats without affecting cosmetics.
Is that wear one armour, but then have it look like another piece of armour you have? So you could wear, say, the world serpent set but have it look like the wolf skin set? So, you have the serpent armour stats but have the armour look how you want it to look. Or, does transmog mean soething else?
Would have been cool if the gave The Boy the same tats as Daddy K. They could have differed a bit in design or colour as long as it was instantly recognizable. Just imagine if Ragnorok opened in a cave as Kratos is inking him up. It would be as if Kratos accepted him not only as his son but as a real man and as his equal. Great way start and show how their relationship has matured. Plus if it was in the same style but still noticeably different, it would be like acknowledging that he is a man and his son but still his own person.
Just imagine a game/comic/film where the ultimate predator who has successfully hunted every creature it went up against. And now only 1 trophy remains - the only creature to have killed and eliminated TWO pantheons of the most powerful gods. So first you would hunt and battle Kratos and then you switch to Kratos who goes up against this alien god. And Kratos would be able to use any Yautja tech he manages to get (mostly melee cos plasma weaponry would be too easy). Obviously they would both need to deal with Xenomorphs and possibly Engineers. Can you just imagine what we get if a Predalien infected/impregnated Kratos? A freakin Yautja/Xenomorph/Olympian/Spartan?? LOL just before it hit you with that inner mouth it would just roar "'BOY!!"
First play through I didn't really understand armor, just the 3 archetypes (atk, runic, def- axe, blades, armor) so I focused on legendary sets. I beat most of the game on hard with Tyr and no Amulet upgrades. Only did Valkyrie armor because the game felt short and I had early game armor. Maaaan So later I figured that Mist and Magma are too OP and mostly for competion. Valkyrie too I guess, unless Thanos you want to roleplay with the easter egg. Best armors imo are regular armors on final version upgraded max. I also liked that each armor family has 2 final variants one with different stats from the archerype (but my God of Fashion tho 😩) Lastly, hinsight I never understood the point of Def focused armor but the god mode mechanic makes Def armor s lot of sense. My favorite style is the Runic family but now i know thats Thor's armor style so I guess I go back to Kratos' style (Atk armor family)
One thing that I don’t like about this game(btw this is one of my all time favorite game!) is that I have to ditch the coolest looking armor because it’s not the strongest. I wish that they’ll ditch this rpg side of this game and just let us wear any armor we want and not let it be about the levels of the armor

Well this is fuckt i thought there was Unlockable skins in this game but it's all the same skin with different flavor where are the days of Ps2 when you could Unlock real skins for Gameplay ohh and by the This is just Horizon reskinned as God of War or Sony got lazy and used the EXACT SAME engine on both games this is not God of war

My personal favorite is the Sindri Armor. Looks nice and is really good for runic augmentation.

So basically this game has 5 armor sets? 2/3 are reskins or recolored
and the ones that look best in kratos, highlight their muscles, in ragnarok we have some ridiculous ugly armor that looks like a thermos
