@@plull3302 exactly, back in GoW3 Fear Kratos was also OP in the hardest difficulty for the same reason, Fear Kratos did 4 times more damage and took 4 times more received damage, well in God of war difficulty that's perfect since you die in 1 or 2 hits anyway and the extra damage actually helps you take less damage because you can clear the mobs faster, so less angles to get attacked from

I really wish they had more variants of the sindri armor. Personally, breastplates are my favorite type of chest piece in the game, but still it would’ve been awesome to get other types. Especially with that color, it’s so nice

I know it's late, but I would said that for valkyrie armor, it would definitely look better if the body armor doesn't have the shoulder armor part. If it doesn't include shoulder armor, it kind of have some resemblance to spartan armor with some minor differences

Not great bc you can turn its full 85% effect into one enchantment, and it's got good stats, meaning it's just more efficient to use a set that can't be made into an enchantment
The Smoldering brimstone is definitely the best who anyone who goes a strength but it is a very poor choice for anyone who rely on the damages of the runic attack

I gotta say the normal version of the ivaldis pauldron armor set is still the best, looks wise and overall. This new game plus stuff doesn’t really seem all too worth it, seems more of a completionist grind than anything truly new and exciting.
I was hoping zeus's armor would have some cool effects like small Clouds surrounding all over the armor while while there are small lightnings comming out of the small clouds.
idk the more you wear it the more you like it I think. its a subtle, noninvasive armor set that shows off kratos's stature without having those weird chunks of armor sticking up and out. You could pair it with the ng+ valkeryie waist to add some royal god-like detail while keeping the misty green, or brok's royal dwarven waist to for that high-level flair which looks great with the black chest strap. This goes double for the gauntlets. I prioritize fashion in this (and most other) game(s) rather than build potential, but so long as you know how to synchronize perfect talismans and pommels then you'll still be viable while kratos is looking his best lol
I like it. It DOES look like the ancients reskin but that green inside makes it literally look like it was crafted from Niflheim mists which I think it’s pretty dope

You can't do a new game plus anyway unless you finish the main quest first. And you should definitely do a new game plus when you finish. You can play through the amazing story once again with all your gear

Tyrs Lost Unity Set is best one.....make sure u get realm shift talisman and your cooldown is over 250.....cooldown stat is Key To Replenishment of Runic and sons abilities

Starting my new game plus today. Why did they change the appearance of some sets? I loved the way the muspelheim sets looked, now they seem just like the Ancient set with a different color. It looked so cool in the cinematics, with all the red bits. Also, the Sindri set, it was my second favorite, now it is weird looking. The Ares and Zeus set look so generic, like the lvl 1 armors. At least, the Valkyrie set was not changed. Guess, I'm gonna use the Tyr set then. It is important to look cool while killing stuff.
I know I’m a year late, but to anyone who sees this: if you didn’t get the two shields you get for beating normal gmgow before you start your ng+ play through, you can get all 3 of them for beating ng+ gmgow
In my opinion the normal Ivaldi Armors looked better. They basically made the Deadly mist and Endless mist sets look like the Ancient and Traveller sets

Somewhere in the comments I read that it takes about approximately 10-12 runs on NG+ to max all these sets ... my biggest concern about it is, that almost all gear has a big downside in their stats. There is mit one set that is real deal... and that’s a pit because if you put in so damn much effort and endless time to farm these sets you have no real benefit in the game... it always confuses me that I play Kratos, the god of weak, ehm I mean god of war, that has think about which gear he has to use just to be able to beat some areas on gmgow....
Naaa, you don't need to play in ng+ so Many times, if you go and play ng+ in gmgow you get every reward (the ones you get for playing Just ng+ and the ones you get for completing story Mode on gmgow, including both valkery armor+ and zeus armor, and all the shields) after that, you go to muspelheim and you do the challenges all over again and you Will be earning xp, money and skap all over the place. That's what i did. But Maybe playing ng+ another time could work in a lower difficulty to farm stuff easier Talking about the armor, you are absolutly right, there are really like 3 to 4 armor sets that give you the stats that you want, that are somewhat balanced, other Just not, and you don't use them because of it. I think in my case, that it could've been better to let us customise the stats with point (similar to dragon ball xenoverse) and then have the armor only being accesories. But still, you can always do hybrid builds to compense.

Normaly i love to play with the Zeus Set because it's the only set that deals the amount of damage that is worthy for a god of War. :-D thats the biggest downside to me because i always have a big problem with the fact that kratos defense is weak as hell. Yeah, it's challenging of course and it has to be this way. But kratos is sooooo weak on the defensive site and everyrime he dies u think "well, you are a god,... For real?" :-D

And yeah, if you like story then play it back again, as soon as i build everything i doing the same. Zeus armor is insane, the only thing i dislike is the armor design, specially the gauntlets, But still is powerfull, But you also can be killed with two hits so is well balanced. Yeah we die and all But i mean, that's more on us for not playing like true gods of war, and for me it makes it more challenging, cause you are forced to improve. After completing this game five times (one in a speedrun) i finally come to the thinking, that it would have been awesome if the developers had made Tyr's Set the best Overall Set. Tyr is such a special guy in this Story and the quests about him are great as well. For me it was very hard to make the decision to change this Upgraded Set into an enchantment without knowing what this will be... After all it's nice but it don't bring that much of an advantage that (for me) justyfies that exchange.

But again, Maybe that would make not play the game that much since you have to play it a lot to improve most of them. Right now i'm really looking forward to see how they are going to upgrade the whole stats and armor system in the next game.

It's a shame we can only turn three of these armors into enchantments. Imagine utilizing Brok's armor like that for quicker rage build up, the Muspelheim armors could've been three enchantments, and all three of the Ivaldi armors into one enchantment for maxed out health regeneration. Though doubling up on the Zeus armor like that would've been too much.
For me its Cod of War his chestplate And belt or whatever Its called for leviatan Its valkyrian And for Blades Is the fire ones And ofc i have the spartan SHIELD
The question I can't find an answer to: What do you get from the Nornir chests on a new game+ if you already have all of the apples and blood meads? Or, do you lose them and have to get them again?
How in the world do you get all this stuff? I have been crushing the game. Destroyed the Valkyries and everything, but I can't seem to get my levels this high.
God of war did NG+ right. Most recycled sets got a new appearance, and the stats are all great. Each set is worth wearing. Was very disappointing to go from this to ghost of tsushima... ghost's new gear was worthless!
The only things that give bonus Stat stuff in ghost is just extra charms, which most are just for cooler effects or mechanics. Like the taming dogs and the charm that makes everything bloodier. Vanity wise, there's still a bunch of good things yo get that you can't get in a regular playthrough

Well new game + gives you better armor types. If you fight the valkyries, over time, try to find an attack pattern for the valkyries. And sigrun the valkyrie queen has a combo of all the attack patterns

This guy probably knew all along how to farm that tremendous amount of skap slags when he reached nifleheim/muspelheim for the first time. Just wow.
even though its not the best, i rock the Fallen Ash + set every playthrough because of how good it looks.
Also, if you beat NG+ on GOW mode you will get new shield (it's RESKIN of our standard shield. It's, on my opinion, don't look VERY cool)

I know you unlock one of those shields pretty easily and another through GMGOW. How do unlock the rest?
Green shield = Start NG+
Spartan Shield = Beat GMGOW
Tyr's Unity Shield = Beat GMGOW
White Shield = Beat GMGOW+

I know I’m a year late, but to anyone who sees this: if you didn’t get the two shields you get for beating normal gmgow before you start your ng+ play through, you can get all 3 of them for beating ng+ gmgow

In my opinion the normal Ivaldi Armors looked better. They basically made the Deadly mist and Endless mist sets look like the Ancient and Traveller sets

I think you get it from one of the Valkyrie.
You can only get perfect items in ng+
It’s a new game plus enchantment and you get it from killing one of the Valkyrie

i did shit and built the ancient set without knowing it was only a good early midgame armor and now i'm not seeing myself getting all the slags for another armor set since i'm close to the end of the story do you recommend the fallen ash set?
I use the Magma armor chest, Ivald's war belt, cod of war fin wraps, and gauntlet of Zeus that's my armor set I use in god of war 2018.

alr my runic,strength, defense and cooldown hybrid build is set ima get the runic ivaldi chest armour and the gauntlets for runic and a lit defense and attack and ares war belt for the cooldown strength and defense and then the enchantments ill work it all out definitely getting ivaldis mind and perfect mark of kvasir

Somewhere in the comments I read that it takes about approximately 10-12 runs on NG+ to max all these sets ... my biggest concern about it is, that almost all gear has a big downside in their stats. There is mit one set that is real deal... and that’s a pit because if you put in so damn much effort and endless time to farm these sets you have no real benefit in the game... it always confuses me that I play Kratos, the god of weak, ehm I mean god of war, that has think about which gear he has to use just to be able to beat some areas on gmgow....
Naaa, you don't need to play in ng+ so Many times, if you go and play ng+ in gmgow you get every reward (the ones you get for playing Just ng+ and the ones you get for completing story Mode on gmgow, including both valkery armor+ and zeus armor, and all the shields) after that, you go to muspelheim and you do the challenges all over again and you Will be earning xp, money and skap all over the place. That's what i did. But Maybe playing ng+ another time could work in a lower difficulty to farm stuff easier
Talking about the armor, you are absolutly right, there are really like 3 to 4 armor sets that give you the stats that you want, that are somewhat balanced, other Just not, and you don't use them because of it. I think in my case, that it could've been better to let us customise the stats with point (similar to dragon ball xenoverse) and then have the armor only being accesories. But still, you can always do hybrid builds to compense.
@@jordymagema1660 ok, thx :-) muspelheim and niflheim are the places where i normaly aint like to stay for long... I love the Story too much i guess. Normaly i love to play with the Zeus Set because it's the only set that deals the amount of damage that is worthy for a god of War. :-D thats the biggest downside to me because i always have a big problem with the fact that kratos defense is weak as hell. Yeah, it's challenging of course and it has to be this way. But kratos is sooooo weak on the defensive site and everyrime he dies u think "well, you are a god,... For real?" :-D

Zeus armor is insane, the only thing i dislike is the armor design, specially the gauntlets, But still is powerfull, But you also can be killed with two hits so is well balanced.
Yeah we die and all But i mean, that's more on us for not playing like true gods of war, and for me it makes it more challenging, cause you are forced to improve. But yeah, sometimes is like "dude, am i supposed to believe you screwed the greeks?" specially when you play against the goddamn valkery queen in gmgow 😂😂

After completing this game five times (one in a speedrun) i finally come to the thinking, that it would have been awesome if the developers had made Tyr's Set the best Overall Set. Tyr is such a special guy in this Story and the quests about him are great as well. For me it was very hard to make the decision to change this Upgraded Set into an enchantment without knowing what this will be... After all it's nice but it don't bring that much of an advantage that (for me) justyfies that exchange.
@@NeoViny yep, you're right, specially since tyr is this World's god of war, so they could have made his armor the most powerfull. But again, Maybe that would make not play the game that much since you have to play it a lot to improve most of them.
Right now i'm really looking forward to see how they are going to upgrade the whole stats and armor system in the next game.

I wish they would have made the zues and ares armor more unique maybe like his armor in the older games
It's a shame we can only turn three of these armors into enchantments. Imagine utilizing Brok's armor like that for quicker rage build up, the Muspelheim armors could've been three enchantments, and all three of the Ivaldi armors into one enchantment for maxed out health regeneration. Though doubling up on the Zeus armor like that would've been too much.

How in the world do you get all this stuff? I have been crushing the game. Destroyed the Valkyries and everything, but I can't seem to get my levels this high.
God of war did NG+ right. Most recycled sets got a new appearance, and the stats are all great. Each set is worth wearing. Was very disappointing to go from this to ghost of tsushima... ghost's new gear was worthless!
The only things that give bonus Stat stuff in ghost is just extra charms, which most are just for cooler effects or mechanics. Like the taming dogs and the charm that makes everything bloodier. Vanity wise, there's still a bunch of good things yo get that you can't get in a regular playthrough
@@assassinmaster3419 ya the dog charm was nice and there was the lightning one too, and dont get me wrong, a lot of the new cosmetics were great too its just the sets were useless. But what god of war did is just better, in my opinion.

Well new game + gives you better armor types. If you fight the valkyries, over time, try to find an attack pattern for the valkyries. And sigrun the valkyrie queen has a combo of all the attack patterns
